Poutine! (Fries with gravy and cheese curds) but I always crave it lol.

My mood is terrible this week, my anxiety is acting up and I feel a bit down. I feel like I don't want to do anything or be around anyone. I don't have a whole lot of patience right now.

When did you actually FEEL pregnant?

Right now...a cat. When I left for work my cat was still in bed curled up snug and warm...wish I could do that :P

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Had blood drawn for confirmation waiting for the call back to schedule our first appointment!

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go?
Last week I had blood drawn. Went good. Couldn't see anything yet but my lining was thickening well and my HCG Beta was 534. Have my next one scheduled next Thursday. Hoping I'll see something then!

I am SO tired. I haven't slept through the night a single night for the past 2 weeks and I'm so over it. I just want one really good night's sleep.

I'm going to go with a river otter because they're my favorite animals but I agree that house cats have it pretty good!

@Cauleyflower I don't think I actually felt pregnant until I could feel DD move around 19/20 weeks. Up until then, it just didn't seem real, which leads into @TInman87 's question. It didn't really feel real until the anatomy scan when they switched to 3D and we could see her little face.

@elizabethmae315 I would love to know what my cats are thinking, especially my Simba! He is such a momma's boy and I'd love to see his thoughts with him always wanting to be with me.

@gusgus14 I also am having trouble sleeping. Last night it peaked and I thought I was going to have a breakdown after tossing and turning for so long! Let's pray second tri brings us some sleep

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go?

I have an appointment tomorrow with my RE (even though this was a natural cycle) to check for a gestational sack. We've already confirmed pregnancy with two perfectly doubling betas.

Cravings? None yet

Rants/Raves? I am having a hell of a time sleeping. I have Multiple Sclerosis so I already am a tired person by nature. But I've never been this tired in my entire life. Yet I can't sleep!!

For me it started to feel real when I got to see my LO on ultrasound (and it looked like an actual baby - so probably around 14 weeks?). I am high risk so I was being seen relatively frequently. I remember that it began to feel VERY real when I started to feel her move, around 16 weeks.

How far along are you? 5w6d

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? Had a 3rd beta on Friday a week after my last, 468 to 4,897. So everything looks good so far!

Cravings? Just hungry all the time! I crave sweets by nature so that hasn't changed.

Rants/Raves? I've slept through the night the past few nights, so glorious! I work night shift tonight though so that will go out the window.

Questions for FTM, STM+? None I can think of right now.

GTKY: If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose to be and why? I echo everyone else in that I am frequently jealous of my cat. The first thing that came to mind for me is a horse because they can sleep standing up

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? No appointments until May 30 with my GP, who will then refer me to an OB

Cravings? Not really... nothing is actually very appealing. I'm not nauseous or anything, just not super interested in any food.

Rants/Raves? Rave to my hubby, who says the most adorable things lately about me, our future etc.

Questions for FTM, STM+? Well it would be like everyone else, when will it feel real? But I see that's answered a lot, so... if you are using cloth diapers... how do you learn which are the right ones for you? I plan to, and don;t want to do a lot of trial and error since they are expensive.

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? No appointments yet - first one is May 22nd

Cravings? None really yet. Although, I have been really wanting cheeseburgers at lunch. I had really strong beef craving last time I was pregnant, so this could just be foreshadowing things to come.

Rants/Raves? We are dealing with a bunch of mess with DH's ex related to my sweet step-daughter. She has ADHD, sensory processing issues, and anxiety, so we have a lot of therapies and activities to schedule over the summer. His ex is just being a major b***h about everything and making everything really difficult which makes DH distracted and a little depressed. And, selfishly, I want him to be focused more on me.

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go?

Went to a women's walk-in clinic to help find out what skin medication I could use. They were very nice, but turns out they're a clinic more for women with unplanned pregnancies and are geared towards helping them decide to parent or put the baby up for adoption. So, it really wasn't a place for me. And they couldn't answer my question. But I did get scheduled for a free ultrasound so that's great!

I didn't actually start to FEEL pregnant until I was in maternity clothes...and it was common knowledge with family, friends, work (everyone always asking how I felt) and then became VERY real once I could feel her moving :-)

@elizabethmae315 ... I can't remember! Is that terrible??? I bought a "coming home" outfit for her right after we found out we were having a girl at 18 weeks. Maybe that was it?

Any appointments this week/last? How did it go? No - my OB does a nurse educator visit at the 6-7 week mark, that's on 5/16. First US is 5/24.

Cravings? Not really although I don't seem as into sweets as I normally am (anti craving). I am a little sad that I didn't go on a sushi binge right before I got my BFP.

Rants/Raves? My OB told me no allergy meds, and I think I need a second opinion, because WTF seasonal allergies

Questions for FTM, STM+? Why do some people get Betas? No one suggested this to me or even offered is as an option.

@saraterp3 At my OB they do beta's to confirm the pregnancy. Because my first beta was low (199) they wanted to do a follow up (I was just early, only 2 weeks after ovulation). Apparently when the beta's double it is a sign the pregnancy is progressing. The follow up doubled appropriately but they wanted to see it go up higher so scheduled another one a week later.

Side note: From the research I have done on them they also do not seem to be highly accurate in some cases, which may be why some places do not trend beta's? Sorry- this answer is not super helpful!

@saraterp3 I also did not have blood work done. My doctor doesn't do it either. So I am in the same boat with you. I'll be seeing a nurse for my first appointment on 6/6 then u/s on 6/15.

First ultrasound tomorrow! I'm excited and petrified at the same time. We're having our parents over Friday for dinner to tell them so FX for good news tomorrow or dinner is going to be really awkward....

Cravings? I'm really not hungry lately! And if I am hungry I want cheese, all the cheese.

Rants/Raves? How the F do people keep this a secret for 12 weeks?!? If I am with my friends I'm usually drinking a glass of wine so I'm actively avoiding being social so I don't have to answer questions.

My dog has a pretty freaking awesome life, I'd be him.

@JuliaGoolia719 I do not know how people keep it a secret for 12 weeks. I made up a story about why I can't drink but I'm 99% sure all the people I tell that to know I'm pregnant and are just politely going along with it.
