Hey benchwarmers! I think there's only a handful of us left.

Anybody have any fun summer plans coming up? DH and I are planning a trip to San Francisco for a giants game in late July (aka due date) followed by a few days at the coast. Keeping distracted is just what we need. I can't wait!

WOOF. I've been added to the bench while I wait for testing to begin. I'm trying to mentally change my thinking and work on eating right and exercising to use the time to lose a couple lbs.

We're headed to Disney this summer. Hoping that the weather isn't too hot

@pumpkin0913 - SanFran sounds amazing! I've never been to the west coast.

@msstephanielynn We're going to Disney too! But not until late September (for Food and Wine Festival).
I'm planning lots of time gardening and swimming and trying to enjoy my summer on the bench. Still working on the losing 20 lbs. Plan is to lose the weight, and get the biopsy and whatnot done, so we can be off the bench by the time we get back from vacation!
Also, have SIL wedding this summer, and hoping I can enjoy that and not get too upset by the young loser who just popped out her baby...

Summer distraction for all!!!!

@pumpkin0913 I loved San Fran when I visited but that was like 20 years so lol. Also my due date was in July too.
@msstephanielynn Disney sounds fun and I didn't know @dpjennifer that they have a food and wine festival!!?!? I would love to do that.

@MimoCa Disney World has their Epcot Food and Wine Festival from like mid-August until mid-November this year. I've never been to it, so I'm super exciteed! And since I'm benched til the vacation, I plan to drink and enjoy myself!
Apparently Disneyland has theirs in like March-April, but I don't know anything about it.

Still not trying and on birth control until end of June (at least). Hoping to start trying in August or September.
I am off this summer because I work as a teacher. No major trips this summer planned. Planning on spending the summer with my soon to be 2 year old and doing her 1st steps therapies.
@pumpkin0913 have you been to San Francisco? My dh and I went when we were dating. It was a good trip. It's a little chilly there so don't plan on getting in the bay. Big mistake on our part.

@msstephanielynn so jealous of your Disney trip! We went to Disneyland last October and we're going next March. Can't wait!

@dpjennifer I'm jealous of your Disney trip too! Good luck with the weight loss and have fun in the happiest place on earth!

@MimoCa we're only about 4 hours away from SF but for some reason, we don't make it over very often! Need all the distractions we can get this July!!

@rklinge0 yes we usually go once or twice a year and oh yes it sure is cold there! Bring your coat in the summer! Lol

@pumpkin0913 - I live in the Bay Area! Would be happy to give any recs for SF and surrounding area if you have never been here. July is a fun time to visit - its nice and cool in SF in July!

So jealous of your vacay plans @pumpkin0913, @msstephanielynn, @dpjennifer. DH works year-round, and never really takes time off, so it'll just be me and DD this summer. The past two summers I've had her home with me, but this year I'm working summer school and keeping her in day care part time. I'm hoping the structure will keep her from being a nightmare when she returns in the fall...

@rklinge0 I’ve always been so jealous of the teacher’s schedule, although I’m sure there’s cons to it too. Enjoy your time off

hi ladies, mind if I scooch on in to this bench?

I feel like summer is never coming for us. I'm up here in Canada and although I'm on the west coast and we don't get snow here, we get a lot of rain, loads of rain. I'm so darn tired of the rain!!
BF and I are headed to NYC in 2 weeks, and I am soooo looking forward to getting away for a few days.
@pumpkin0913 SF has been on our short list for vacations for a long time but we've yet to make it there.
@msstephanielynn and @dpjennifer - loved Disney! I've been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld, they are both so much fun. I surprised BF with a trip to Disneyland 18 years ago, I kept it secret right up until we were at the airport. I packed his bags, got his time off work, everything. Told him we had to pick up a friend at the airport and then surprise! So much fun!

@msstephanielynn it was my first time in 10 years! I definitely recommend using your fast pass option on rides you really want to do. And certain ones that don't fast pass (like fantasy land) do first thing in the morning so you can get in without waiting an hour! Oh and get a dole whip....or a couple of dole whips lol. Have fun!

@ladipale wow living in the bay sounds great. I'm in nor cal and we get all the heat! Lol. Dh and I have been to sf quite a few times and love it.

@40momma welcome to our lovely bench! NYC sounds fun! I haven't been farther east than Nebraska

I love that you surprised bf with a Disney trip! So much thought and planning out into that!
