Trying to Get Pregnant

TTA/Benched Check-In Week of May 8

*please notice*

This thread is for those who have started TTC but are now TTA or Benched.
If you have BOTB, please consider participating on that board and/or creating a separate BOTB-check-in.
While we value all members of the community and enjoy helping others learn before they're TTGP, recent discussions have shown that the influx of BOTB-members posting on this thread have driven out the members for whom the thread is actually intended.
Please respect that development.

***General TW that this thread can and will mention MC and loss.***

This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have hit a roadblock and are delaying for whatever reason. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on not TTC and connect with others who are in the same boat. TTC can be a long journey, and having to wait makes it feel even longer -- even if it is for a good reason. I invite you to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this like an ongoing conversation.

Benched = involuntarily not NTNP/TTC and "out of the game," usually due to medical reasons
TTA = avoiding pregnancy by using protection or FAM, usually for non-health-related reasons __________________________________________________________________

    Benched
    What brings you here?
DH is deployed for at least another 3 months
How long do you think you'll be here?
I'm trying to convince him to visit for our first wedding anniversary next month, but it that doesn't happen at least through August
    How have things been going?
Okay. Work has been stressing me out like crazy but in otherwise okay.
    Any R/R/CS/Q?
My period was annoyingly late this month (probably due to work stress), but it did push my projected June FW over my anniversary weekend, so that's good.
GTKY: Do you prefer gorgeous sunrises or epic sunsets?
Sunsets. DH and I were in the Bois Jacques (where Easy Company fought during the Battle of the Bulge) on the last night of our honeymoon and we saw the most amazing sunset through the pines. It was awesome.

    Me: 28 DH: 29
    Married: 6/2016
    TTC #1: 12/2016
Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!

  • Can I temporarily play both teams?

    Are you benched or TTA?
    Benched until Thursday

What brings you here?  Waiting for results to see if I have fibroids, which I'm still annoyed about. Ultrasound was dumb, and tech confirmed that if I had fibroids in Sept they would've been able to see them on the ultrasound then and I did NOT have them. So. If I have them I'll be annoyed, but if I don't have them I'm going to be REALLY annoyed.

How long do you think you'll be here? Until Thursday if no fibroids (or I mean, I guess they could discover something worse. Part of me is like, oh man, they're going to tell me I'm dying of uterus cancer, lol.)

How have things been going? Fine, it's finals week for my graphic design classes, which is mostly fun except for my history of graphic design class which has, like, an actual test, which I'm avoiding and thus am SUPER BORED.

Any R/R/CS/Q? no unless you want to hear me rant about how stupid it is to make people fill up their bladders before ultrasounds again

GTKY: Do you prefer gorgeous sunrises or epic sunsets? Sunsets. Sunrises mean you have to be awake at sunrise time, and who wants that? Most gorgeous sunset I've seen is in Oia in Santorini. TAKE ME BACK!!
  • @BusinessWife Sorry to hear that you've been having a rough time. Good luck with your interview & I hope everything works out!

@jsnakehole FX that he's able to come visit for your anniversary, since your FW has so conveniently lined up so nicely!

Thank you! @Cricket648 @KariAnn323 yes.  You totally get it.  And I mean honestly, DH is more the one who is like, dont even talk to me till we know. Lol

ETA He says he doesn't want to, "ride the rollercoaster," with me, and I don't blame him. So I mean, bless his heart, I think he feels the need to guard it.... :/
  • No longer benched! Just got the all clear from the doc. So the spotting is still TBD, but hooray!
