Chef prepped up some lamb and we ran a gyro all weekend. I ate one the last 3 days in a row. He also made these amazing chickpea 'fries'. They were basically like long falafel that were toasty on the outside ans creamy in the middle. It was all so unbelievably delicious.
@MississippiCatfish What recipe are you using for your mug brownie? I found a chocolate chip mug cake recipe I really liked a few months ago but I misplaced the paper I wrote it down on and I can't find another that I like.
I just read your comment about the gyros. YUM! I love gyros and basically get one a year. It's the first thing I do when we get to the Minnesota State Fair. I buy the biggest one they sell for $11. I'm sure it's nothing compared to yours, but yum.
I cannot stop eating fruit. Watermelon, apples, blueberries, peaches, grapefruit. So much fruit! The only thing that actually makes me gag right now is chicken but everything else just doesn't sound good. blah.
@MississippiCatfish just had to give a shout out to the MN state fair! My family is all excited I'm going to be pretty pregnant during it! We LOVE the fair!!
@furmommy We were just talking about this! This will be my 3rd time pregnant at the fair, 2nd time being pretty big! My oldest was due Sept 24th, so I was HUGE that time;)
My other fair food tradition is mini donuts on the way out for the night! Did you see Usher is coming this year?? I'm contemplating buying tickets!

@abs1686 - Me too! All I crave is fruit. I can't get enough fruit!
@MississippiCatfish I haven't been to concert at the fair in a long time! But I LOVE the nitro ice cream with caramel... it's my favorite ice cream! It's in the food building and the corn on the cob!! YUMM I can't wait for the fair!
.. and sweet marthas cookies, obviously... edited to add cookie statement!
Calling @DuchessOfCambridge: My DH really wanted us to all go to the gym tonight even though I'm kind of sick and morning sickness is bad. I agreed and have just been hanging out in the lobby. Until I couldn't take the temptation of Subway at the other end of the building anymore. Tuna melt - eaten.
I am not eating nearly as healthy with this pregnancy as I did with DS's pregnancy. I'm just it feeling well. I had grilled cheese, tater tots and corn.
The last 3 nights everything I ate for dinner madr me sick. Tonight I had California rolls from the mall food court, it was fresh so no worries and sheetz chili cheese and jalepeno hotdogs. The belly and baby were finally content
I had buffalo chicken rollers from 7/11 the other day (don't judge) and DH was like "you won't eat hot dogs with nitrates but you eat 7/11 chicken rollers??"
watermelon juice blend is a favorite, taco salad, ice cream (esp. vanilla talenti gelato), and a weekly jimmy johns tuna lettuce wrap. My nausea is worst in the morning and I often don't eat lunch or just a bit, but usually have dinner and might get something to eat after school. If there is a day I can sit down more that does help (this is one of the joys of silent reading time). It has started to get better, and I hope that the days keep going this way. I lost a few pounds (I have plenty of extra) so I don't feel too guilty about my junk food cravings. I try to get salad in and protein, but some days are mostly captain crunch and milk.
I love anything Italian these days. We're having friends over for dinner to tell them about the pregnancy and I'm making lasagna. H was asking me what else we should serve with it, and I was confused that he didn't see the value in just eating the lasagna...
I always thought the whole craving pickles thing was an exaggerated craving. I never craved pickles with DS1,2, or 3-now, I can't get enough pickles!!! I even want to drink pickle juice!
Everyone at this wedding is in the hotel room across the hall partying and im laying in bed waiting for my domino's delivery of 3 orders of breadsticks. #priorities
I finally got a steak last night to satisfy my red meat craving. I also recently are just tortellini for two days straight and now I can't stand the sight of it.
@RiverSong15 I never serve anything with lasagna (occasionally garlic bread, but that is if DH is lucky) maybe you should tell H if he wants anything with it he can make it
@cmessamore I love pickles! But only dill because sour/salty is life
