What is everyone else up to? I'm having friends over and watching the Kentucky Derby this evening. Tomorrow is my baby shower! I am really excited to see all my family and friends!
I need to go to the farmer's market for honey. Other than that, my only plan for the weekend, is to pack DD's go bag. I feel like I need to write a little note to put in there with her schedule and favorite snacks, etc.
Im going to a baby shower for a good friend and Im really excited. We went to high school and college so Im going to get to see so many people. This friend lives far away so I havent seen her in person since my baby shower 2 years ago.
So tired this morning! Yesterday morning I was up for the day at 4:30am (thanks insomnia) so I was ready to go to bed for the night at like 6pm, but I got a phone call from my sister who is 10 weeks pregnant that she went to go pee and was gushing blood and that it wouldn't stop. I got DH to put DD down to bed and called my mom to meet me at my sisters place to watch my nephew while I took my sister to the hospital (perks of being a nurse there- free parking and I can ask the questions she needs asked when she's stressed). We got there at 7pm and weren't seen by a doctor till 12:30. Thankfully everything was ok- cervix closed, lab work with hcg hormone was fine, and baby was moving around on the ultrasound, but she continued bleeding tons while we were at the hospital. She's going back today for an ultrasound in the hospital's clinic which is a far better machine than the portable US machine in the ER. I was so sad for her while we had to sit and wait that long to find out if her babe was ok. Doesn't help that I'm 36 weeks pregnant and people kept asking me when I was due etc and the last thing I wanted to do was talk about my pregnancy in front of my sister when we weren't sure what was happening with her little one. SO relieved that everything is ok with him/her but hoping everything else is ok and we can figure out what's causing all the bleeding. I can't imagine how scared she must have felt. She's on bed rest for the weekend and I'm the only family member available so I'll be going over to her place with DD to help out with my nephew and keep him busy while she rests.

This might sound creepy, but please give your sister a hug for me. I had a MC right before we got pregnant with this baby, and had a threatened MC with this baby, so I know (at least my own version) of how she must feel right now.
Busy. H's parents and sister are arriving late tonight. We just moved last weekend, so the house is a mess and stacked with stuff we need to organize, and we don't have a lot of furniture to use for organizing. And no way to get more soon. We want to go yard/moving saleing to get a bookcase, dressers, etc. but don't really have time. That's going to have to happen over a couple weekends. I don't mind them visiting, but I really wish it could happen some other time. And I have to meal plan on top of cleaning up. *sigh*

I normally love company, but NOT when I'm this pregnant. I can't imagine right after moving.
This is more of a rant, but it's happened this weekend. Every time I put my hand on my stomach, someone asks if I'm ok. It's annoying. I'm fine, the baby is moving and I like to feel it from the outside as well. I'll let you know if you need to be concerned.

So one of our baby shower gifts this weekend really confused me at first: until the gift-giver started saying: "keep this in the bathroom, because if your kid is anything like mine, you're gonna need to catch some floaters in the bathtub". I think nearly every guest died laughing at that one!
