Re: PGAL Week of 5/3

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (i.e. number of losses, when you had the losses, etc.):
I'm 28 and DH is 26. We started TTGP back in Oct of 2016 and experienced our first (and only loss) in Dec at around 5 weeks.

    2. EDD? How far along are you? Jan 5th. 4 weeks 5 days

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): Normal pregnancy symptoms (nausea, mildly cramping, etc.)

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): I've managed to stay pretty calm so far. I was really worried I'd be freaking out, but I've managed to stay cautiously optimistic this baby sticks. It could help that this time round I've had no spotting, which was my first clue something was wrong last time.

    5. When is your next appointment? May 25th.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: Rave: DH and I are going to see the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie tomorrow evening so pretty excited about that! Rant: So sore from the gym!

    7. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? I'd have to say my favorite childhood movie is Toy Story. I loved that movie as a child and I still love watching it as an adult.

  • 1. Tell us about yourself (i.e. number of losses, when you had the losses, etc.):
I had a chemical in March at 4.5 weeks.

    2. EDD? How far along are you?
1/18 based on LMP 1/14 based on ovulation. 3 wks 4 days according to ovulation

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Good! Sore boobs and some cramps that's about it. I'm so early though !

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
I'm ok but I'm not believing it's real at the moment. When I had the CP my tests never got darker and then 2 days after my " missed period" they turned negative. So I just bought 20 Internet cheapies so I can test for the next 20 days and see the lines get darker.

    5. When is your next appointment?
Im only 10 dpo so I won't call until I officially miss my period. My office usually sees patients btwn 6-7 weeks.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: none

    7. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie?

    1. Tell us about yourself (i.e. number of losses, when you had the losses, etc.):
I had 4 miscarriages in 2013, prior to having DD.

    2. EDD? How far along are you?
    1/5/18 - 4w6d

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
Ugh. This constant nausea is insane. This is going to be a rough few months if it lasts all first tri.

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise):
My anxiety has been through the roof. I didn't think conceiving/staying pregnant was possible without the RE, but here I am right now. I demanded several rounds of bloodwork from my OB to help ease my mind.

My bloodwork results yesterday were amazing. I started to chill. Then between carrying a thrashing toddler, and violently throwing up after, I started spotting. My mind immediately went there. And now I'm back to constantly checking for blood every time I wipe.
I would have thought a successful pregnancy and several years passing would have eased the pgal brain.

    5. When is your next appointment?
    May 12 at 6 weeks

    6. Rants/raves/whatever:
    Ladies, we're freaking pregnant!!!

    7. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? Hmmm probably Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid

    1. Tell us about yourself (i.e. number of losses, when you had the losses, etc.):
DH and I barely came off BC in 2009, and immediately were pregnant. We have a healthy DS born June 2010. In 2013 we decided it was time for another baby...about a year later, we found out we were pregnant, celebrated for a few short days, then had a MC. We tried for several more months, then went to the Dr, and after several tests that told us NOTHING we conceived while on Letrozole- TWINS. We found out at a routine US around 14weeks that we had lost one of the twins. The other twin remained healthy, and DD was born healthy in Aug 2015. Then Feb 2016, I had a ruptured ectopic. I hadn't had my first post partum period yet, and had no idea I was pregnant. Part of my left tube is gone...we were a little surprised to get our BFP after only 2 months of NTNP.

    2. EDD? How far along are you?
Based off my LMP, and Google 1/3/18
    5 weeks 2 days

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms):
TIRED!!! And excess sinus drainage/increased mucous.

    1. Tell us about yourself (i.e. number of losses, when you had the losses, etc.):  I had one other pregnancy which ended in a loss. I found out on my Fiance's birthday, and it was a lovely birthday surprise for him - but unfortuntatly I MC'd two months later, september 2016.

    2. EDD? How far along are you?
Estimated due date is January 3rd. I am 5wks 3 days today.

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): Not having many symptoms. Lite nausea on occasion, and general cramping. I stopped spotting, but the fact that I was bleeding for awhile still makes me anxious.

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): One moment I am excited and the next I am skeptial any of this is real. I keep thinking that it'll end badly again, but I am trying to remain hopeful.

    5. When is your next appointment? Bloodwork today done, blood work on monday, then will talk with nurse/doctor about where to go from there.

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: I don't like the waiting game (waiting on betas, which I find out Monday afternoon)

    7. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? I absolutely loved swan princess. Though I had many that I extreemely loved and would re-watch constantly.

    2. EDD? How far along are you? 5 w 5 d

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): fatigue, sore boobs, hunger

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): I'm ok so far.

    5. When is your next appointment? June 2nd

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: Because of my age,  I have to do a glucose test early in the first trimester.... so in a few hours & I can't eat.... I'm hungry!

    7. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? E.T.
  • Tell us about yourself:
I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in August 2015.
Two months later, I was pregnant again. We had a beautiful baby boy last July. He was diagnosed with HLHS (half a heart) at the 20 week scan. He had open heart surgery when he was 5 days old, was diagnosed with CHARGE syndrome two weeks later, and died when he was 22 days old.
The doctor said we could TTC again in October, and I had a chemical pregnancy in February.

    2. EDD? How far along are you? This baby is due January 16. I'm 3 weeks, 5 days pregnant. It's VERY early! I haven't even technically missed a period yet, but I confirmed this pregnancy with a digital test.

    3. How are you feeling (pregnancy symptoms): dizzy, tingly boobs, SO hungry

    4. How are you feeling (anxiety wise): Surprisingly good. We've already gone through such hell, I don't think we have any bad luck left.

    5. When is your next appointment? None confirmed yet. I was supposed to see a fertility doctor this week. Obviously, that isn't going to happen!

    6. Rants/raves/whatever: I'M PREGNANT!!! I still can't believe it. If things go well, I have to have chorionic villus sampling to test this baby for CHARGE syndrome. I'm nervous about that. Will it hurt?

    7. GTKY: What is your favorite childhood movie? The Princess Bride
  • @beesquar3d How did the glucose test go?

  • @sp128 Ooh, I'm glad I'm not the only one. When did you get the good news? And has it sunk in yet? Even with the digital test saying "PREGNANT +" it doesn't feel real to me yet.

@PleaseSendPicklesNow I found out bc I was prepping for ivf. I was taking estrogen and my period didn't start. The re had me go in for blood work. Didn't even know they were doing betas. It's really low so need to retest on Monday. It so not real. Found on 5/5. I don't think it'll be real until I see something promising on the ultrasound. I Have pgal brain big time.
