Hello everyone, I deleted my app a while back due to spacing issues in my phone. I wanted to see how everyone was doing and if the chats were still alive.
Heres a little update on Denver.
Denver Is one year and four months old man oh man where has time gone?! He lives for Mickey Mouse club house and hanging out with his grandpa. He walks and is trying to run.. We took him to his check up a few weeks ago, his doctor is concerned he isn't talking yet and there is talks of speech therapy in the future. ( we use three different languages around him 1.english 2.spanish 3. Sign language and I think that's the reason why he's not talking) he makes noises and babbles but no actual words , however, he signs when he feels like it.
He enjoys outside and standing on his head. He also enjoys playing with shoes and running across the house because he knows he shouldn't have them. He LOVES thowing things away- tv remotes, diapers, dvds, bottles, toys EVERYTHING ends up in the trash can
Welcome back! We're still here, but it's not quite as active as it once was. I'm glad you're little guy is doing well. I've heard that raising kids bilingual can delay speech a bit, hopefully that's all it is with yours. Zack is running around getting into trouble at every opportunity. . He's starting to talk more and more. He does some signing as well. He gets so excited whenever we understand what he's trying to tell us. He's finally starting to sleep through the night sometimes too, which is a huge relief!
Hi there! I check in daily but as pp mentioned, we're definitely not as active. It's crazy how fast our LOs are growing. I can't believe we're only 2 months away from them being a year and a half.
Gina is doing well. She tests me every chance she gets and hates the word "no" (as I'm sure all of little ones do too). She only says a handful of words and can identify several body parts. Her favorite thing to do now is to talk like Cookie Monster and she's scared of the broom lol
Oh my how I wish he sleeps through the night!! He still wakes up 2-3 times a night. Ive been having trouble sleeping these past few weeks so I'm usually awake anyway lol.
Denver Scared of the vacuum cleaner- he won't even enter the space where we keep it. He can just see it and be running away lol.
Welcome back! Glad to hear your baby is doing so well! I agree with PP on the speech - bilingual babies definitely take longer. Mine says a few words but doesn't even say mama with consistency yet. Also glad to hear someone else's child still doesn't sleep through the night! Mine is up 2-3 times a night still as well mickey mouse clubhouse is a hit here as well - he mostly enjoys dancing to the theme song and then loses interest unless he's really tired.
Good to hear from you! I was wondering where you went! Brynlee is 15 months old and an absolute wild child. She runs, climbs, does somersaults, talks, and gets in to a whole lotta trouble! She's got such a silly personality and is incredibly smart. Her favorite things right now are Minnie Mouse, cheeseburgers, hair bows, animal sounds, pillow fights, and shoes. She had her 15 month check up today and is 31.5" tall and weighs 22 lbs. She still DOES NOT sleep. Ever. We're lucky to get 4 hours total in a 24 hour period... and some days it's in 20 minute increments. We're finally past the food allergies, which has been a huge blessing for us, both financially and for our sanity.
@mamadcb she seems to have just grown out of them! The gastro specialist told us that once she hit 12 months to introduce it every month just to see... and the first couple times or was still a definite no-go, but at about 14 months, she was fine! She does drink lactose free milk though. Regular messed with her tummy.
Haha, long doesn't even begin to cover it! Now if only we could convince her to sleep! Gahhh! She finally gave it up and fell asleep at 1230 last night (this morning) and was up from 215 to 830 this morning...
It's great to hear updates from y'all! I completely fell off of here for the last month. I had a miscarriage in April and couldn't bear to open the app. Evelyn is the happiest girl ever. She loves eating noodles and olives. Right now she loves to bark like a dog when she sees any animal. We had a Spanish speaking nanny for a year, and we barely had "mama" and "dada" at 14 months. I think that's completely normal and nothing to worry about just yet.
@krrpe99 I'm so sorry for your loss. Glad to have you back!
Luke is fairly wild also- he loves climbing, looking at the neighbors kitties outside, and watching Bubble Guppies. For about the past week he's been impossible to keep entertained/doesn't want to eat and just throws everything at dinner time so I'm hoping we move past this fairly soon..
@krrpe99 so sorry for your loss. It is such an awful feeling. Just know you are far from alone
@SDaniels19 Brynlee dumps everything too... it drives me absolutely crazy. But she has to go above and beyond, by either smashing it or chewing it up before throwing it or spitting it everywhere. And our stupid dog is diabetic, so we have to be all over the cleanup before he can get to it.
@krrpe99 I'm so sorry about your miscarriage! That's heartbreaking. I am glad you've come back to check in but I totally understand taking a break. Again, I'm so sorry
Hello to all of my original bump ladies! It has been a long time since I have checked in on this board. Life has been crazy and I am now also on the September 2017 board. Ramsey is a very active and hilarious little boy. He gives his older sister a hard time already which is amusing for sure. We are excited to add another little girl too the family in a few months! I apologise for being a trader! Lol I hope you are all doing well!
