Bleeding throughout first trimester

Has anyone had occasional bleeding over the last few months?

Mine has almost been like clockwork, at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, and now just before 12 weeks. It comes out of nowhere, when I'm sitting at my desk or I wake up to it. It stops after an hour or so and I've never felt cramping with it. By the time I get in to the doctor, an ultrasound doesn't show any cause for concern (which is great and I'm hoping what happens today.)

Anyone else experienced something like this? It's bizarre and really keeping us on our toes, but fortunately hasn't been anything to worry about I guess...

I bled throughout my pregnancy with my son.  My OB said I had a sensitive cervix.  It was mainly after intercourse or strenuous activity.  My OB said brown blood was old blood and to contact her if it became bright red OR if I filled a pad or more in an hour.  If you feel unsure I would contact your doctor.

I bled a little bit a few weeks ago. My doctor said you could also spot around when your normal menstrual cycle is for the first few months, maybe that's a possibility? I hope it stops for you, I know how nerve wracking it can be!!

Just a heads up for those who are spotting, if you know your blood type is negative, definitely let your doc know you're bleeding. They might want to give you a rhogam shot. I know any time I bled during my first pregnancy I needed one.

Isn't it also more common with multiples? And you have quads right now, right?

    Thanks ladies!

Yes - we have quads for another week until we reduce to twins. I'm not sure if it's more common but it wouldn't surprise me since just about every symptom you can get seems to be more common with more babies.

We went in this morning and the sonographer didn't see anything that concerned her... it's apparently just a thing that happens sometimes. It's funny though... I'm pretty sure I'll keep calling them and going in because it can't hurt to check in case something is wrong (plus it's nice to get a little look at them every few weeks.)

I'm 13w and had bright red blood this morning. Went to the doc and they said the placenta had separated a little causing some bleeding. It's stopped now but I'm on bed rest for a few days. Hopefully it doesn't happen again but interested to hear what others have been dealing with. Hope everyone keeps getting good news.

I was bleeding continuously from week 8 to the end of week 11, some bright red, but mostly brown/pink discharge. Nothing wrong with the baby, but this being our first it was terrifying! It has finally stopped (I'm in week 12 now), and I hope I won't see anymore of it.

I started spotting real light and brown Sunday at 13+4, it seems to be less every day. Regular midwife visit on Friday. I am trying to stay positive but Friday can't get here soon enough.

I freaked out the other night after intercourse. It wasn't anything too rough but it had been about 2 weeks since any action. When we finished I noticed some blood and almost had a melt down because I was worried we hurt something. But it was short and by morning gone.
