I know I'm late to the party, but speaking of having no libido anymore: I was talking with someone who said her OB/GYN just told her to HIO every day if she wanted to get KU. I was like, 1) that's exhausting--I can't imagine ever wanting to do that again! and 2) that's not how this works.
@Bababatty - sounds like this woman needs a new OB/GYN. @bpietronicco - I'm sorry! Ugh. @JaeJayStark - is it officially BFN? Ugh, I'm so sorry.
God, ladies - this is a ROUGH month. Holy Cow. Hang in there - for those of you who are moving on to IVF, I may just see you there. For those of you who aren't, and who are just done now, I'm so sorry. IF is no joke - this is agonizing.
@baseballhoney I totally understand that! If only insurance would help us out. We hope to see you around still some!

Ugh I saw so many posts and was hoping for good news. Sorry for the BFNs ladies
It it looks like many of us here are in the same boat. We're getting our third and final IUI today and if it doesn't work we are on to IVF, and just the thought of that is exhausting. So if we get to that point I'm proposing a summer vacation from IF! I turn 33 in July and my RE assures me that I have plenty of time (it doesn't feel that way to me) but I think after 3.5 years I need 2-3 cycles off for the sake of my sanity.

@baseballhoney I was just talking to my coworker about this. Our doctors are faced with giving some things a try with minimal testing in hopes that it works OR test for everything under the sun first and diagnose. In hindsight, I wish we jumped it IVF right away but I would have never known if a simple IUI would work. What is confusing me now is that IUI worked for me the first time but not the following two. So was the first a fluke? Do I stick with IUI then? ughhhhh!
Yes, I am worried about the price. I am getting laid off at the end of June/beginning of July. I've been with my company for 9 years. The good news is that I get 7 months severance. Hopefully, I can line up another job and use that money for infertility treatments (well actually, hopefully this month's IUI works and I won't need IVF).
@bpietronicco I'm so sorry this month didn't work out. That has to be disappointing. Because I might be considering IVF soon, can you share why you don't think you want to do it, as long as you are comfortable of course.

@JaeJayStark I feel the same way...I think with how much it costs to continually pay for meds, dr visits etc...could have almost paid for IVF. But like you...I'd always wonder if something less invasive would have worked...it's such a double edged sword going thru this stuff.

@JaeJayStark mainly the cost is the issue for IVF because we are OOP. I am very thankful that they have had samples for me with the medications. I am going to meet with them about it to get more details as I only really know what I have read and a little research. My first iui TW ended in a CP TW so I was hoping it would take again. The injectibles they had me on this last cycle was tough- I don't know how much more I can handle. I have a meeting with my RE in just over a week and will know more.
@kristimh80 thanks!
@JaeJayStark the first time around doing IUI we got a BFP on IUI#3 (TW** that ended in a loss End TW***) then it was our 6th and final IUI (so kinda #3 again) that gave us our twins. For this time around thankfully #2 was the trick. My understanding is that the % of women getting pregnant does not significantly increase after 3 IUIs. Though for us IVF was not an option. Its such a personal decision but I might give it one more try and then consider moving on... GL and hugs

@JaeJayStark I know what you mean about the testing. It's frustrating both when you are doing it and in hindsight and when going through it. I am kind of happy we didn't go straight to IVF because I would wonder if the others would have worked, like mentioned. I would have a hard time making a decision if I were you. None of mine successfully worked so it's an easier decision for me. I wish you luck and hugs on your way to your decision! Hopefully it isn't too tough of one.
Oh man. I haven't checked the forum in a while and was so sad to see BFNs. I remember before I even started this IUI situation, people on here told me not to waste time. Hey All, I've been taking a break from the forums recently, mainly because we're taking a break from medical intervention while I travel for work and then we travel for vacation.
It's nice to get caught up and I'm so sorry to hear about all of the BFNs this month. UGH! Just awful. Did you see it was infertility awareness week last week? I've been reading a lot of helpful articles and blogs that people I didn't know were going through IF have been posting. Here's a great one: https://medium.com/@elisapella/getting-pregnant-though-ivf-146382b98945
We've had one cancelled IUI cycle and one complete IUI cycle with a BFN. I keep going back and forth about another IUI cycle. It's SO much cheaper but I also keep reading all of these posts from women with multiple attempts and just added frustration that I wonder whether we should jump the IUI ship and go to IVF? I haven't talked to my doctor and nurses about this yet at CCRM..... any thoughts? I'll be 32 in May...I think I'm just feeling the pressure since my best friend got accidentally pregnant recently.

@manders85-2 Def talk to your doctor and see if maybe they have another idea or route you can do. I know my dr usually would like to see 3 IUI's and see how I respond to medication 1st. I know how you feel though, at times I wonder if going to ivf would be easier, but I see a lot that do muliple ivf's also...so its not easy either way you look at it.

Hi everyone. I took a bump break while I was on the pill to get ready for the next cycle. I wish there was more good news here. This all sucks so much. Recently the thing I am the most frustrated about is how little control I have over any of it. I feel like it is making me feel unmotivated in other areas of life. Like, what is the point of trying hard and being positive, it doesn't even help. Hah, well, I sound bitter today. I promise I am still showering, going to work, and cooking meals. Best of luck to everyone still waiting. Statistically, we are due for a few more BFNs. Thats how statistics work, right?
manders85-2 I noticed you mentioned CCRM? Do you like it? I have some issues with their communication but overall am neutral to happy there.
Me: 34 ("unexplained IF"), DH: 40 (he is fine!), Married since 2013, 2 cats
TTC since Aug 2014
May 2016: laproscopy, found & removed moderate (stage III) endo (largest growth was on R ovary)
@daisy222-2 - I 100% hear you, and am so impressed that you are still showering, going to work, and cooking meals. I am occasionally showering, and I'm still going to work, but I've almost entirely given up on shaving (like, it's shocking - maybe once every 2 weeks), and I haven't been grocery shopping once in five weeks. Not once, unless you count one trip to costco where we bought frozen chicken. DH cooks, and when he doesn't, I either boil some dried pasta and put some parmesan on it, or I order in. (To be fair, I've never been much of a cook, so this isn't that different from usual.)
You are a trooper. Like, you, I have problems with the motivation part. It's really hard to keep working up the urge to try again after you've tried more than 12 times - you trying since Aug 2014 is both inspiring and also makes me think about how sh*tty and unfair this all is.
I started really moving to the dark side of IF around cycle 16 of TTC and our 1st failed IUI. This is cycle 20. Earlier tonight, my sister was complaining because she asked someone for an estimate and they haven't gotten back to her within 4 business days. I was like: "I'm sorry, I can't talk to you about patience right now. I have been waiting for something for almost 2 years - do not start with me about how much it sucks to get some event planning invoice 2 days later than you wanted."
Anyway, courage! Perseverance! Hope! That's what we need. That, and a miracle of science.
@manders85-2 I'm sorry about your cancelled cycle, the BFN, and the BF preg news. Ugh. Whatever you choose to do - if another IUI or IVF - I am totally rooting for you. This is agonizing.
@kristimh80@J1006 - really hoping you have some good news for us, and for you! xoxo
Unfortunately BFN this morning, however still no period. DH is trying to say positive and tells me it could just take awhile for HCG to build up in my system to get BFP. As long as I don't get my period he is hopeful. We have a super busy weekend (2 weddings) so I know AF will come at the worst time. I usually spot a couple of days before AF arrives which I haven't had so maybe that's a good sign. I still don't feel like it worked though. Keep you all updated.
@J1006 He's right...until the witch shows...you never know! I was reading last night how some women didn't get their BFP until 16-17DPO, so always hope

@daisy222-2 and funkykey I totally feel you two. When life is normal I am such a positive Polly, glass always half full. It's one of the things I like most about myself. IF sucks me dry of that. I tell myself the things I tell my friends in the same situation but it just doesn't work. I read and read about all the science and I do my best to set myself up for success but like most of you, to no avail.
I've started seeing my therapist again. It's much needed. I know I need to process all of this and I am very worried about the fact that I haven't cried yet. I feel as though the dam is soon to break.
I rarely shave these days, the thought of having sex stresses me out, and I too boiled some pasta for dinner last night. But! Here are some things I have done for myself; keep up with my bump friends here, text @irisheyes81 a million times a day cause she gets it, booked a trip to Disneyland this weekend, got a Disney themed manicure, got a massage, read my TWW book, and spent copious amounts of time with my animals (that is my greatest pleasure for sure).
So thankful I'm not alone here.

Not sure if I told this story already, but I was saying something to my H the other day about how IF has impacted my sex drive. I wasn't really thinking, I just kind of absently said: "It's shocking how little I want to have sex now. Like, some days I think I'd be fine if we never had sex again."

Re: April IUI
I know I'm late to the party, but speaking of having no libido anymore: I was talking with someone who said her OB/GYN just told her to HIO every day if she wanted to get KU. I was like, 1) that's exhausting--I can't imagine ever wanting to do that again! and 2) that's not how this works.
@bpietronicco - I'm sorry! Ugh.
Keeping FX that we get some good news soon.

Diagnosis: Me: Unexplained. Him: 1% morphology pre-washed.

manders85-2 I noticed you mentioned CCRM? Do you like it? I have some issues with their communication but overall am neutral to happy there.
Me: 34 ("unexplained IF"), DH: 40 (he is fine!), Married since 2013, 2 cats
TTC since Aug 2014May 2016: laproscopy, found & removed moderate (stage III) endo (largest growth was on R ovary)
Summer/Fall 2016: 3x IUI w/ clomid & trigger shot, 3x BFN
Jan 2017: 2 months of lupron depot to quiet endo (ugh). Done!
March 2017: IVF #1 (antagonist) Cancelled/converted to IUI #4 on 3/31/17, CP
May 2017: IVF #1, try 2 (Lupron added). ER 5/23 (14 retrieved, 11 mature, 10 fertilized, 3 blasts frozen, 2 PGS normal). FET in late July!
@kristimh80 @J1006 - really hoping you have some good news for us, and for you! xoxo
@J1006 He's right...until the witch shows...you never know! I was reading last night how some women didn't get their BFP until 16-17DPO, so always hope

And also - I know re: the animals, OMG. I would be a disaster without our dog, in particular. He is so happy and sweet even when I am a mess. Thank God for dogs!
Not sure if I told this story already, but I was saying something to my H the other day about how IF has impacted my sex drive. I wasn't really thinking, I just kind of absently said: "It's shocking how little I want to have sex now. Like, some days I think I'd be fine if we never had sex again."
(Beat)
DH (dryly): "Wow, that's great, honey."
Still makes me laugh, just thinking about the look on his face.
How is everyone who's still in the TWW feeling? I'm 7DPO and so stinking tired! Trying not to read too much into it.

i have an interesting turn of events. I had tons of spotting and horrible cramps yesterday. So bad I had to take Tylenol for them. Thought for sure I was getting my period because that's how it always starts. This morning, no more spotting and cramps gone and still BFN. my body is playing horrible tricks on me. I don't know what to think anymore....
@J1006 You just never know! I always read not everyone's BFP shows up early, so you could have implantation late so it would take a little longer to show up. FX for you!
