My freshman year of college I got asked out by this super awkward guy that I didn't want to go with but he was the only guy that had asked me out to this specific event. So I told him I would think about it. After talking to my coworkers about it, they decided to set me up with a different buy so I wouldn't have to go with awkward guy. Well, the second guy and I were just work friends, so I figured it'd be a nice casual date. Then I found out that he was completely in love with me and thought that since we were going out on one date I wanted to marry him. *eyeroll* The date was awkward and neither of us said much, and then I spent the rest of the semester trying to avoid him.

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. Thankfully I haven't had too many bad dates. On one I was an idiot and went to this guy's house that I met on POF. I'm lucky he was a nice guy and nothing bad happened. I have no idea what I was thinking.
Also, speaking of prom I was the bad date on prom. The only high school dance I went to was my senior prom. (I have never enjoyed getting dressed up, getting my hair done, etc.) And I was going to prom with a really good friend. But I was so nervous and awkward that I avoided him all night and I didn't want to dance. I basically ruined his prom experience. A few years later he passed away from cancer.

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. I haven't had a lot of bad dates, just a few where I was set up and wasn't interested in the guy making it a little uncomfortable. This one makes me look bad, but in college, I took a guy friend to my sorority formal, just as friends. One of my other friends was set up with a guy from another school and he and I ended up really hitting it off. Young and dumb I sort of ditched my date and spent the entire night with the other guy. My friend who was set up with the guy was so mad at me she didn't really talk to me again after that.

Wow half way, with DS halfway took forever. This time around things are just moving so fast. Im starting to feel like I'm not prepared enough!

hmmm I've had some doozies, okay I'll share two worst. 1.) Stood up for my junior prom, by my actual boyfriend! Yep that lasted ehhh about 12 additional hours and he was out the door! 2.) The only time in my existence I attempted online dating- met the guy at the mall bc it was a safe public place. He was nothing at all like his profile picture, actually so far from his profile picture i thought I was being punk'D. Had a decent meal with him and never spoke again. Not because I'm so superficial that I couldnt get over his looks but bc he was so strange and awkward in real life, on top of lying about his looks that I was actually uncomfortable.

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. Fortunately I don't really have an answer to this.. I started dating my DH at age 15 so I had a couple boyfriends before him but nothing serious.

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. My prom date actually ended up being horrible. The highlights:
1: We had a group of mutual friends we were supposed to go with, but we ended up going with my date's football friends, who I did not know and who clearly didn't like me at all. At one point in the limo, someone asked a question from the other end, and I leaned forward to answer them. The couple next to me whispered, "OMG, is she talking to herself?!" "Oh god, I think so. Fuck, where did Josh even find this freak?" When I looked at them and said, "You know I can hear you, right?" They recoiled like I was a witch who'd just cursed them. No one got friendlier from there.
2: My date was way more popular than I was because he was on the football team, and I was one of those weird artsy kids who was also on the debate team. He had a bunch of groupies who had ridiculously obsessive crushes on him, and they'd been sneering at me in the halls for week. That night, after it was announced that we'd won "best dressed couple," a few of them tried to jump me in the bathroom. Thankfully I'm feistier than I look, and even though I wasn't a jock, I was a gymnast. But still, a prom night fight was not what I was hoping for.
3: My date spent most of the night running around trying to keep this couple who'd been together since 5th grade from breaking up, and then he got mad when he realized I was dancing with other friends while he was gone. When he did come back to dance with me, he was obsessed with trying to convince me to leave early to "make out" in his truck. We weren't even a couple, and had never discussed being one. So he refused to take me to the after party, with people I actually knew and liked, and instead just dropped me off at home, and literally never talked to me again.

I've been really fortunate and haven't had any bad dates! I went to my prom with my then-boyfriend and we had a great time. In college I sort of had a boyfriend but really I just had fun which didn't involve actual "dating" if ya catch my drift

I have a regular check with my OB in an hour and a half and then a follow up to the A/S tomorrow to get better pictures of my wiggle worm's heart. Then nothing for five weeks.
I am definitely moving differently. I'm still having a significantly reduced appetite. Things look and taste amazing but I can only finish like half my plate.
My new maternity shirts came in yesterday and they are awesome! Oh! And Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 comes out tomorrow and my DH, best friend, stepson and I are going to see the 10pm showing. Stepson is excited cause he gets to stay up super late on a school night.

I honestly can't think of one that was bad. I feel like hanging out is different from dating. And I have always dated people who were friends first. DH and I go on date nights which are awesome. But I can only think of maybe 2 other *dates* I've had before we got together when I was 21.

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. I think I've been lucky enough to not ever had a truly terrible date! OH WAIT. Just last December, DH and I bought tickets to a huge Christmas show and we were going to dinner beforehand. I dressed up in a skirt and my wool thigh high stockings (so cute) and.. decided to go au naturale since I knew I'd be ovulating soon and ya know. So I'm dressed and he's aware of my lack of undergarment and I'm finishing my makeup when he says "By the way, my parents are also going to this show, and they're going to ride with us." !!!!!! I was PISSED! And then, the doorbell rang. ...
I'm super grumpy.. obviously, and we go to the car, where I am horrified to be kicked to the second row seats, with DH driving. All of my plans to have a sexy night with my husband, gone! Couldn't even hold his hand. I had to sit next to his mother instead, underwear-less. I was so uncomfortable. And I made DH pay dearly. We skipped dinner thankfully because I was not in the mood. I was so angry!! Worst date ever was with my husband and his parents!

Rave - DH is finally getting the cast off his leg after being in one for nearly 3 months. He'll still be on crutches for a while, but he'll have a boot instead, and best of all, he'll finally be going back to the office instead of working from home! No more hiding DD away and getting no housework done when I'm home with her during his conference calls!
GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. I can't think of anything awful off the top of my head. One awkward one was a guy I met at a coffee shop off a dating website. It went OK, and he was nice and everything, but he definitely was not my type. As we're leaving, in the parking lot, it had snowed at some point that winter, and there were those huge dirty mounds of snow pushed onto the edges around the lot. He walks over and makes a snowball out of disgusting, black snow, and is about to throw it at me, I guess trying to be cute and playful (which it might have been if it was nice fresh snow on the ground?). I had to be like, "Seriously, do Not throw that at me." He didn't, but it was pretty awkward. There was no 2nd date.
ETA: Well my OB office just called and said that due to flooding, they will have to cancel my AS on Monday (when I would have been off work). They wanted to move it to next Thursday, but I managed to get it rescheduled ass-early on Tuesday at an office across town instead. Then of course, my OB only has appts on Mondays, so I would have had to wait until the following Monday for results. Sooo I got them to schedule me with a random physicians assistant instead on Wednesday afternoon. Lovely.

I dated a ton online in my 20's for both awesome and awful experiences (and all great stories).
The most awful guy/date.....I was running late...so I tried to call and let him know. When I arrived he did not look like his pictures and he was ANGRY in a crazy hostile way for being 10 mins late (with a phone call he didn't pick up) and said that he thought maybe he should go do something else instead of stay and hang out with me. I agreed (cause ack!!). But he was like well I am here so I guess lets walk around...so we proceeded to walk around a farmers market. Turns out that farmers markets maybe aren't great 1st date places if you need to get any real grocery shopping done. Anyways as I shopped and was already totally not interested due to the way he behaved...he talked at me about politics (which we didn't have in common) and about sports (which I don't follow)...but I still I tried to be polite making conversation. After meandering for about a hour (and getting my grocery shopping done) I politely said thanks for meeting and again apologized for being late. I said I gotta get these groceries home. Take care. He responded with hey lets go to the theater tonight. I said I didn't think I was up for it but if I changed my mind I would let him know. All of this was kinda a ok date..I mean not good but not totally insane. But later that evening he called (I was out with friends so I didn't pick up)...he proceeded to leave message after message on my phone crying, and yelling...begging etc. Totally intense. So I send him an email that night (cause he said he would keep calling until I responded to him) wishing him well and that we just didn't seem compatible....turned into more emails from him and more calls. I ended up having to block his number.

I was deathly ill and couldn't keep food or water down on Tuesday, still unclear is that was pregnancy related or just general sickness. Doing 100% better now!

A/S yesterday, waiting for my monthly appointment right now.
Feeling more movement but no other real symptoms. Looking forward to when DH will be able to feel movement from the outside.
Advice for healthy snacks? I'm finding myself not eating enough during the day and then starving by the time I pick up DS from daycare. Or at 2:45 while thinking about eating in the doctor's office... My go tos in the past have been almonds, kids Cliff bars, string cheese, apples, bananas.
Like pps, I didn't date much before DH. I had a few dates in high school, but I was so filled with happy nerves that I never considered them awful. I met DH on move in day Freshman year of college and we have been together since.

Went out with a guy a couple times but really had no interest in him but he had a LOT of interest in me. I was in the parking lot outside my apartment trying to explain to him that this was not going to happen and he was telling me we were getting to an age where we needed to start thinking about settling down, getting married and having kids...I think we were about 22?

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had. I briefly dated a guy in high school. We went to a Dallas Stars game with my family. He threw a fit because my mom bought my brother a single beer. My brother was 19 and a college senior. It was a little awkward.
Note: I don't know the rules other places, but in Texas it is legal for a parent to buy alcohol for a minor. At least it was at the time. I haven't really kept up with alcohol rules after I turned 21.

GTKY: It's prom season, so tell us about an awful date you've had Truthfully, I never dated very much. BUT, I did have a 'boyfriend' my junior or senior year of HS. He literally told me on our second date that he loved me. I mean, we were in high school, so I tend to give people a lot of leeway for what they might have thought/ said then. But even then, I was like ......... no thanks dude. We broke up shortly after that, needless to say.

worst prom date was senior year. My date was a freshman and while i wasn't romantically interested in him, i was pissed that he spent the whole night with my senior girlfriends instead of me.
worst date; i think i was 19. Met a guy online and went to coffee. He was a total narcissist and without reason. He was older, wasn't very good looking and super boring. During our date, my ear canal swelled shut(had an infection i didn't know about) and i used it as an excuse to leave. He was such a jerk, that he didn't believe me and was angry. He almost didn't let me leave.

In my first attempt at online dating, I went out with a guy for the first date and it wasn't fabulous, but he was nice enough and I hadn't dated anyone for awhile, so I figured I'd give him a chance with a second date. During dinner on the second date he talked extensively about his social anxiety, which was awkward and too much information for date #2. As we were walking to the train station after dinner, he said "will I be allowed to give you a goodnight kiss?" Um, awkward. I suppose it's better than the alternative of a guy being too forward, but it definitely didn't make me any more interested in kissing him.
2. 23 weeks- one more week until viability day!!!!
3. Grapefruit... although I would've thought last week's coconut would be bigger than a grapefruit...

5. I have my monthly appointment on Monday. I will see my baby again due to a marginal cord insertion they want to check on.
6. No new symptoms. I'm buying Sonic ice by the bag though. That stuff is the bomb.

GTKY: I didn't date much at all. However, I college I niavely got roped into what I thought was a casual thing with friends and turned out was a date with a nice guy I had zero interest in. I'm a little ashamed to admit I purposefully acted off and uninteresting/short so he'd never ask me out again... it worked.

Goodness. Despite my AMA, I've never casually dated anyone, so I can't think of any awful dates. Sometimes we go to a bad movie, but anywhere I go with my love, is at minimum, fun.

worst "date" ever was when I went to a party with this guy and he ended up getting wasted and in a fight. Then the cops showed up and the idiot who opened the door ran instead of just talking to them so they ended up wrangling all of us out of the house. They ran all of our licenses and I was under 21 so I was scared I was going to get arrested but they ended up giving me some car keys so I could drive the other much more drunk individuals home. (I was sober by that point) and so so pissed.

I've never had an awful date because I only date people who are perfect... but my favorite date is April 25th, because its not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
I thought we were all hanging out as friends, 2 guys/2 girls thing. We saw a movie, had food, went to drink at our usual spot. Everything was fine until we were all walking back to our dorms. That's when I noticed my guy friend was trying to "put the moves" on me. He went in for the kiss and I froze. Apparently he liked me and the other guy and my girlfriend liked each other. It was a double date that no one informed me of. My friendship with the guy pretty much ended that night. He got really creepy after that.

I've had some bad ones. I had my mom pick me up from a date where my date got super upset and asked to leave a restaurant. He was unreasonably upset and just would not relax. I do not remember why, but I think it was that he felt he waited too long for his food. We never went out again obviously although he did ask.
