  • @lilmisscrafty-2 I think his movies are in the genre of "stupid funny" lol I don't like all of them but there are definitely a few that we quote often!

  • sarah0985 - I can imagine how uncomfortable you must be by now. FX this is it for you!
  • @sarah0985 I'm sorry your over your edd! I have extreme can't remember anything are you a ftm?
  • @yiggle09 I'm a first time mom. I'm in good spirits for now but don't know how long I'll be able to hold on to that if it goes to 41 weeks. Right now I feel more excited than anything
@lilmisscrafty-2 when is yours scheduled? I know you have your pre-op this week.
@absbubbs that is the perfect idea. Cutting in half would just feel better. It feels like that's what it's trying to do anyway!

  • @sarah0985 eeek so excited for you! Even though it's hard being overdue, the anticipation and excitement of "it could be any day now!" is an unparalleled feeling :)

Sorry to everyone having hip and pelvic pain, I'm right there with you! My waddle is in full effect this point and I don't even care.

  • How far along are you? 36 weeks

How big is baby? According to my doctor, a little over 5lbs. In reality, 4-6 most likely

Any appointments this week? Nope! My doctor told my it was fine to go longer so I'm free until May 12th!

Symptoms? Lots of pelvic pressure, sore hips, some nerve stuff in my upper thighs.

Cravings? Not really... but I've been really big on balancing something sweet with something savory/salty. I know that sounds weird but I have to have a taste of each one every time I eat.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm starting to get nervous for 2 again... my toddler has officially hit threenager stage and it's terrifying. Any other mom's of 3-year olds who can tell me whether my kid has gone insane or if this is normal behavior?! ;)

    Team Pink/Blue/Green? Blue!

GTKY: I am not a big Star Wars fan... although I've only seen Rogue One and it wasn't that bad.
  • @sarah0985 I was checking out the spread sheet and saw your due date was yesterday, I may have been secretly hoping you were quiet because we were going to get an announcement, not because you hang out more on the weekends.
  • @absbubbs I wish!!! We had a wedding this weekend and my husband was off of work for 3 days so we were busy is all. Last minute little errands and just trying to spend time with him

@livin541: As a Star Wars fan, I'm happy to hear you found it at least tolerable  ;)

I have a 3yo also. Gimmee some examples of what's terrifying you! Is it the sprinting and climbing and jumping on everything? The remembering everything you say and bringing it up like 2 days later? Do tell!
  • @SKZW ha! The fact that I don't love Star Wars is my H's biggest disappointment I think. Maybe I should give it a chance...

As far as my 3yo goes, your examples are pretty spot on! Ha! Honestly the total meltdowns are one of the biggest issues at our house right now. He's very verbal, so he can communicate what he wants, but lately he loses it over every single little thing and has SUCH a hard time calming down. He's also got some sass going on and I feel like my polite, usually respectful little guy is gone forever! Wah! :s Thanks for listening!
  • @livin541 there's actually a book and I'm sure you can Google this on the best order to view all the films for star wars. I heard an interview on the radio about it it sounded interesting
  • @Yiggle09 I will have to check that out in case I ever decide to switch over to the dark side ;) thanks! Also, happy belated Bday!
  • I'm not a big Star Wars fan. Every time I tell someone that DD will be born on May the 4th they reply "May the fourth be with you". I just smile and nod.

@livin541: +1 on the respectful little guy! Mine is the same way and I'm really proud of his behavior. But the meltdowns, I hear you. I try to remember that if I'm calm and don't match his volume, he'll respond better. I say "I understand you're upset" and "this is hard for you" and I offer "can I hold your hand?" and sometimes that gets him thinking about something else enough to momentarily forget about why he's having a breakdown.

This parenting thing is a work in progress, right? ... as if stating the most obvious thing is even necessary.
  • How far along are you? 36 weeka

    How big is baby? Papaya

Any appointments this week? This Thursday and then the weekly appointments start

Symptoms? Cramping, BH, insomnia and some mild diarrhea

Cravings? Ugh...I don't even want food anymore, I'm out of room

Rants/Raves/Questions? Excited for my baby shower this coming Saturday and hoping that this baby is going to exit soon after because I am so sick of being pregnant (sorry to moms on week 40+) but this is all weird to me because I was induced at 37/38w with DD

    Team Pink/Blue/Green? Blue

GTKY: What movie or TV show do you refuse to watch? Or what movie or TV show would you never watch again? I watch a lot of garbage, but I refuse to watch anything like The Voice and I will never willingly watch anything with Jack Black
  • @thistlenweeds I started having that too! I figured they were swollen or something. If I kind of massage my hands and crack my knuckles (which I already do) the. They sort of feel better for a little bit. Watch, I'm probably making it worse <insert eye roll>

  • @OmegaRose3 enjoy your shower! @thistlenweeds I had that with ds. It'll go away after baby but stunk while it was going on
  • @BabyMC517 they don't look swollen at all though, and it's hard to pinpoint if it's the joints or something else. Gets better during the day though, yes.

@Yiggle09 at least I'm close now :) perseverance. Lol.
  • @SKZW you are totally right about that. Just when I think I've got parenting all figured out, these kids throw me another curve ball. My favorite mantra is that everything is a phase and is highly unlikely to last forever  :#

Thanks for commiserating on toddler shenanigans!
  • @thistlenweeds mine don't really look swollen, I just thought that's what's going on lol they tend to get better as the day goes for me too, probably from moving them around and what not. Glad to hear it should go away @Yiggle09!

  • How far along are you? 36 weeks

How big is baby? Papaya/ chihuahua

Any appointments this week? Weekly on Thursday

Symptoms? Pelvic pain since forever has gotten worse with the intense pressure, intense back pain, swollen, just overall exhausted, so much disscharge,  last night i had what felt like terrible period cramps, extreme thirst!

    Cravings? Anything cold and liquids

Rants/Raves/Questions? Went MIA for awhile with my weekly check ups in this group, I was placed on a partial bed rest a few weeks back when i was dilating and mucus plug was coming out in pieces and then everything became about getting things in order for baby. I was beyond stressed! At my last check up my cervix has stayed at 1cm 50% effaced and she had me resume normal activity so mentally I am back and relaxed cuz now every things done and I just wait! I cant believe we are all so close! This flew by!!!

    Team Pink/Blue/Green? Green

GTKY: What movie or TV show do you refuse to watch? Or what movie or TV show would you never watch again? Ehh im pretty open
