  • Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.)
    SW: 135
    CW: See rant.
    GW: 128

Fitness game plan for this week: continue running every other day and try to mix in 1 or 2 workouts with weights.

Did you meet last week's goals? Yeah! I worked out like 4 times and I think my goal was just twice.

Fitness goal for this month: I'd really just like to see any loss on the scale at this point.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations? Ugh! I really thought I would FINALLY be able to post a loss. I know you aren't supposed to weigh every day, but sue me. For the last 4 days I've weighed about 134 in the morning. Today I weighed at 136.2. Why? Why? Maybe tomorrow will be back down but STUPID BODY DON'T YOU KNOW MONDAY IS THE BUMP WEIGH IN DAY?!?!

GTKY: If you could have 1 wish, what would it be and why? I just want to win enough in the lottery to pay off my student loans and house. Financial security!!!

  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses, One thing to keep in mind is that muscle weighs more than fat.  If you are running a lot, I am sure you're gaining a bunch of muscle.  I had to laugh at your comment about Bump weigh in day though.  I was down 2.5 pounds and this morning it showed 1.  What happens overnight?!

Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.)
    Starting:148.7
    Current:147.7
    Goal:125

Fitness game plan for this week: Workout 3 days and get 10,000 steps 3 days

Did you meet last week's goals?
Yes!  I had a great week!  I hit my goals and even got 15,000 steps on Saturday.  I didn't do great with eating though.  On Friday I told myself I wasn't going to eat the Chick-fil-a biscuits in the work room.... BUT I did.  Then I was going to eat before going to the baseball game on Saturday, but I had a burger, fries, and a Coke while I was there.  There isn't anything going on this week, so I should be good to go.  :)

Fitness goal for this month:  I want to consistently workout 3 days a week and get 10,000 steps 3 days a week.  I would really like my 10,000 steps to be on different days than workout days, so that's my goal beginning this week.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
Overall, I feel good about my plan.  I feel like I have a manageable goal.  My only complaint is that I need to get some more self control when it comes to eating.  I like food WAY too much.  :)

GTKY: If you could have 1 wish, what would it be and why?
I'm going to agree with UterusesBeforeDuderuses.  I would love to win enough money to be comfortable.  If we had our student loans, car, and house paid off, we would be doing well!  My husband has been working like crazy to get extra money to pay off both our student loans and his car.  He worked something crazy like 108 hours last week.

  • @JNCPro3130 my brain knows all of those logical explanations and I do even FEEL better/less bloated then I have recently, but I still find it really annoying- haha. 108 hours?!?! Holy smokes that is insanity. Congrats on hitting your goals last week! It sounds like you're kicking butt, keep it up!!!

I hear you!  It's tough when you have a goal in mind and you just don't feel like you are making progress.  That's when I find it hardest to stick with it!  Hang in there!  Running every other day is fantastic!

  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses: That sucks. Scales are bitches and do mean things like that. Trust your body and trust that you did not actually gain 2 pounds overnight. It could be a number of things but is almost certainly fluid that will come off easily.
@JNCPro3130: That's a lot of walking! Congrats! That's really awesome!

Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.) SW: 155, CW: 126ish, GW: maintain

Fitness game plan for this week: 3 runs, at least 6000 steps on other days

Did you meet last week's goals?
No, I wasn't feeling well and have been working non stop so I let myself miss my last run. But! I got in 5 miles Thursday and 6.2 tonight! That's a new personal distance record so, I'm happy.

Fitness goal for this month: Keep up my run schedule, even if I don't do 5 or 6 miles each run. I also need to mix in some strength training.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
I've struggled with over eating and eating too many desserts. Other than that I'm happy with how my body is feeling.

GTKY: If you could have 1 wish, what would it be and why?
Other than money? I wish I would feel more content and less anxious, that I'd quit comparing my life with others and be happy with all I've worked for and earned. I wish I would really enjoy life more than just making it through day to day feeling stretched and tired all the time.

  • @notthefather great job on the runs even if last week wasn't as good as you had hoped! Not comparing your life with others is a GREAT wish. I definitely need that sometimes too.
  • Sorry I've been MIA on this board lately, but I am reaaaaallly close to my script deadline (May 1st) and using every spare second to revise and perfect it, while not caring for my LO who is painfully getting her molars.  Yeesh.

Current stats if you'd like to share!  (Usually starting weight, current weight and TTC goal weight.)
SW: 215  CW: 197 TTC GOAL WEIGHT: 185  OVERALL GOAL: 150-160
I lost another pound!  Woo!  I'm only 12 pounds away from my TTC goal weight right now and I feel like I'm finally getting off of that plateau.

Fitness game plan for this week:
I am just hanging on for dear life to get this script done, so I have no goals except calorie counting this week.  I'm going to be revising before work, at lunch and after work, so no time!

Did you meet last week's goals?
I did well with calorie counting and was fairly modest in my weekend treats, though I'd like to improve that this week.

    Fitness goal for this month:
Just lose as much weight as possible in this last week.  Getting to 195/10 pounds to my TTC goal would be rad.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
Nope!  I just wish there more more hours in the day!

GTKY: If you could have 1 wish, what would it be and why?
Ha, well, looks like I already know my wish!  I would wish for 12 more hours a day.  I'd get four more hours of sleep and have a whole creative 8 hour work day in addition to my day job.  If only.  :)

Hope you're all doing well!  I'll contribute more and interact a bunch after the May 1 deadline!!
  • @maureenmce Good luck during crunch time!!!
  • Woohoo @maureenmce!! That's awesome! Congratulations!

I've lost almost 20 pounds since January! Yay!

Fitness game plan for this week:
Work is super crazy, as in i'll be working all weekend to meet deadlines. My strength training for the week is done, so hope for a nice long cardio workout to help counteract the crazy. H is out of town this weekend, so it will be easier to eat healthy.

Did you meet last week's goals?
I fell a little short on the cardio, but did manage to lose some weight, so I'm happy with it!

    Fitness goal for this month:
Ramp up interval training - either move up to 3 minutes jog/1 minute walking or increase the walking speed to challenge myself more.

Anything else you want to share about your fitness plans/journey?  Any rants or raves?  Frustrations?
I was injured last summer and it left me about 30 pounds heavier because I was forced into zero activity - bringing on the cravings. I'm hoping I'm finally breaking through a plateau - for about 3 weeks or so i hadn't lost any weight. I know I'm getting stronger, but it's hard not to fixate on the scale.

GTKY: If you could have 1 wish, what would it be and why?
You ladies have such good ideas. I would have to go with financial security - get our student loans and cars paid off.

  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses - UGH! I empathize with you. Monday weigh-ins are the worst. Any little bad thing over the weekend can absolutely kill your loss on the scale. PS - i weigh in every day, too - don't feel bad.

@JNCPro3130 - 15,000 steps?!? rock star! way to go!

@notthefather - your runs sound amazing! good luck with the strength training! :)

@maureenmce - congrats on your weight loss! it looks like you're doing amazing. Only 10 pounds to go? I'm with you on wishing i had more creative time in my day! It's hard to embrace that side with the zillion and one mundane chores that have to be done. Good luck finishing up your script!

  • @catlady2015: 20 lbs since January is amazing! Congratulations on your weight loss this week. Plateaus are tough but it sounds like you've broken through.
I started running with the Couch to 5k program in July. I'd say it's done well for me  ;)

  • @notthefather, I did C25K last summer and really liked it.  I am not a runner and never have been but I ran an entire 5k in September.  My time was 31:26, so I was really proud of myself!  It's a great program!

  • @catlady2015 yay someone new on our fitness check in! I did C25k like some of these other ladies and had a lot of luck! Consistency was key for me!

@JNCPro3130 31:26 is AWESOME! I'm super slow, haha.

Usually I'm super slow. There was a shirt that I saw... it said, "I run... I'm slower than a herd of turtles in peanut butter, but I run." lol I really wanted it!

  • @UterusesBeforeDuderuses @JNCPro3130 I am SOO slow. I'm hoping to do a 5k at the end of May, but I'm not really even running yet. More like a fast walk.

I NEED that shirt for this race!

@catlady2015: you totally earned points with me for the "or girl, whatever the case may be" comment. I mean, the hot guy can go on....
  • @easttxmamas - to each their own! I could easily substitute clown for creepy dude. And cheesecake in for cute guy.  :p

  • Hahahahaha! Slow is still faster than not running @catlady2015

My shirt would say brownie and yappy dog, respectively. For some reason people in our neighborhood think it's totally acceptable to let their dogs run loose. I'm constantly being chased by dogs on my runs and it makes me so angry. Nothing will speed you up like a giant poodle running after you...

  • You're all faster than me, lol. I don't run. Between repeated ankle sprains, asthma, my lower back problem, and just general fatness, ain't no way I'm doing a race anytime soon, lol.

  • @dreamscapes_ by race, I mean walk 95% of it and hope I don't come in last!! I have asthma too, so sprinting won't happen.

Btw, can I just say how adorable your panda photo is?? I just wanna boop his nose!

  • @catlady2015 A lot of my friends are runners or, at least, walk through 5ks, and my company has a division just based on putting on races. My husband has a heart condition, so he can't do marathons either. Maybe once my back gets sorted out, we MIGHT try to walk a 5k, but that's definitely not an option now. Even walking around the stupid grocery store or just doing dishes hurts my back >.< That's one of the reasons I'm not really participating in these threads. There isn't much I can do right now as far as exercise that doesn't hurt after ten minutes.

I know, I love that picture! I absolutely love pandas. My sig was either going to be that one or this one.

  • @catlady2015 I'm seeing a pain management doctor, so it's being worked on. It's just frustrating, since there isn't really anything they can do besides meds and physical therapy, since my case isn't "severe" enough for it to be surgical. The next appointment is in about a week and a half, and I have a feeling I'll be getting another steroid shot, since there's been no improvement since the last appointment.
