Subchoronic hemorrhage

Just had my first ultrasound! In the ER after literally blacking out from pain and was told baby looks healthy but I have a subchoronic hemorrhage from the baby latching.
Does anyone have this? Or has experience from a past pregnancy?

Re: Subchoronic hemorrhage

  • Sorry if this belongs in a "symptoms thread" it seems like more of a condition, just trying to find some ladies who can relate and reassure

  • I had a small hematoma (i think it's the same thing) with my DD. It cleared up in its on.

  • @wstacij I had an SCH with DS and my pregnancy was labeled "threatened abortion" for some time. I was on pelvic rest, so no sex and minimal exercise. I can't remember exactly when it was diagnosed (I didn't have bleeding), but it cleared up on it's own soon into the second trimester.

    Married 10/13/12
    TTC Since 8/2016

  • I had this with my first two pregnancies. Was in the ER with cramps and bleeding with both. Both my sons were born healthy with no issues. But the worry that came from it was out of control. They say most resolve on their own. Hang in there.
  • I had a small SCH early on with DD. Never bled or had any symptoms but I know many people do...DD was full term and healthy!
  • Yes, doc saw some blood in the uterus at my first US at 6.5w, and it freaks me out. She said I might bleed red so I'm on pins and needles. I have had brownish discharge so far, and sometimes some PMS like cramping. Ugh, I just wish things were normal so I can relax. The severe nausea and weakness I have is enough.

I bled red and it was so scary. I was so relieved when they saw it on my ultrasound so I could stop freaking out.

  • I had one at 12 weeks (that's when the saw it) my last pregnancy and was told to take it easy, it had absorbed almost all the way by 16 weeks and was gone at my 20 week ultrasound. Just take it nice and easy until it's gone
  • I had this with my first pregnancy. Found out because I was bleeding at week 9. I had a miscarriage before that pregnancy and was scared I was losingthe baby. In the ER they found a small sch. Because of the location and how small it was, they told me it would most likely heal but my Obgyn wanted to still monitor it. They told me to be on bedrest for 2 days and no heaving lifting or sex for a week. The following week, it was much better. The rest of my pregnant was uneventful and healthy . I have a healthy 14 month old.
    Take it easy.
  • Thanks everyone for the reassurance! I ended up having some bleeding and they had me come in for another ultrasound. Turns  out my hemorrhage was related to carrying twins *TW one of which I have now lost*TW
I go in for another ultrasound tomorrow, my first "real appointment." Praying we still have one sticky baby and the hemorrhage has stopped tearing.
