At home fetal doppler

Hey, everyone! I am about 10 weeks pregnant with my first, and have been trying out an at home fetal doppler. I haven't heard the heart beat at the doctors or gotten an ultrasound,  yet. I see the numbers moving around on the screen (very low numbers so I think it's just picking up static or myself ), but then today it jumped way up to 177 for a few seconds. However,  I couldn't hear Anything! Did anyone ever see the heartbeat like that but not hear anything? Am I actually hearing the baby?

    Hey, @eal458. Please introduce yourself on the intro thread so we can get to know you! :) Also check out the Doppler thread. Someone posted a video that talks about what you're hearing and seeing. 
    It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
