LADIES. I have to tell you something sad about the tums. I had such bad heartburn with my first pregnancy and ate alot of tums. I ended up getting a huge kidney stone from the calcium in them. So be careful. It was so big it had to be blasted and then it just turned into like 8 regular size stones that I still had to pass. Some of them are still in there. So enjoy the tums responsibly!
@adirat I would say from maybe 15 weeks on I was eating close to the 15 per day. So I think if you stay toward 5 you're probably good. My doctor said they see quite a few women after pregnancy with kidney stones.
I googled whether it was possible to miss a twin at a 7w ultrasound. I am huge. My stomach muscles and uterus have either completely given up, I am going to birth a singleton and the equivalent of Niagara Falls in amniotic fluid, or there's more than one in there. The first two are much more likely.
While reading comments I think my kid reported someone's comment!! What will happen now?! I've never reported someone before don't want them to get in trouble because my toddlers a little rowdy. Is there a way to take back a report?
I googled small prenatal pills, and if it's OK to take Flintstones complete instead of prenatals, and then maximum vitamin a allowed.
Flintstones complete has enough folic acid if you take two, but too much vit a. BUT 33% of the vit a is from beta carotene, which google tells me is safe. I can't gag down the gummies anymore, and the pills are a choking hazard. If they can make Flintstones so yummy and easy to take, why can't they do the same with prenatals?
Tubal litigation. this is our third baby and will be our last. I'll have a repeat c-section so seems like a good time to do it. I asked my dr about it today and wanted to research on my own a bit.
I didn't goole this specifically, but I stumbled on this result after I googled 'floaty rainbow lines in vision during pregnancy' a few days ago. I was at work and saw a little line in my eye, and 20 mins later my vision was so blurry I could hardly read the prep list. It went away, but my migraine aura has never ever done anything that intense.
I googled 'hairball dream symbolism' today because of a dream I had last night. I swear these hormones will not rest until I am completely crazy insane. Lol!
@armstrongatron@kwaldy I am not a traditional migraine sufferer nor do I even get headaches commonly so I'm lucky. A few years back though I started getting ocular migraines but only a few, they only last about 30 minutes and end in a slight headache. I've been very light headed though since about week 10 and have had two oculars, so it's scary but Google tells me not uncommon! Maybe related to low glucose or blood pressure. But if visual impairments last longer it could be the opposite issue, so I'll definitely be asking my Dr about it.
"Are epsom salt baths safe during pregnancy" general consensus is yes. Just keep the water temp under 100F.

@car1a I've been a chronic migraine sufferer since puberty. I was getting them 3-5x weekly before I got pregnant with DD, and by some divine miracle they stopped almost completely about two weeks after I found out. I had 4 the whole time I was pregnant. I usually see black or white lights that look like little bugs in the corner of my vision preceeding a migraine, but with these it starts out seeming like I'm sun blind out of the blue. It only ended in a headache that first time, but I've definitely added it to my list of things to ask the midwife.
The Happy Days Theme Song!! Did you know there were two different songs?! Lol
As far as my pregnancy goes, the last weird thing I googled was "when will this exhaustion end?" Even though I know it's supposed to end after the first trimester.
I Googled "how to get rid of tonsil stones." This was pregnancy related because the heightened gag reflexes kicked in this morning when I tried to mash one out. I vomited everywhere while I peed my pants and then I still had a dang tonsil stone.
@ooodalollly I have a weird obsession with monitoring my tonsil stones and always trying to remove them. I agree it's so hard to remove them now with the gag reflex.
I haven't done much googling because my husband watches me. My last pregnancy I googled everything. My husband also has significant kidney issues so I have googled everything related to that. He makes sure I am being reasonable and not unnecessarily freaking myself out. Love knowing that Im not alone in looking up random things but I know sometimes I probably go overboard.
So I haven't done a ton of googling, but every week on my ticker day my best friend Googles how big my uterus is. Not the baby, my actual uterus. Also have been very tempted to Google mucus plugs, I am so so so curious since they came up in another thread. Confession: mostly I Google crossword answers because sometimes I get stuck but I like how impressed my whole family is when they get home from work / sChoo l and I've already completed the crossword
@armstrongatron Last week's 'ocular' was just like that - I was like 30min into teaching and was like, what did I just look at that was really bright?! Then I realized. Luckily I wasn't dizzy so I just finished the class with partial vision and then it went away. My one yesterday started that way but moved into the very typical pattern you see when you google it - oval and very jagged. It's good that your migraines have gone down during pregnancy! This just seems to be an odd variant.
"Baby flutters at 13 weeks" general consensus is totally possible for a STM but still on the early end. Haven't felt it again so still probably gas.
Tums smoothies are where it's at. So much less chalky than the regular ones! @ugoglencoco I'm definitely monitoring my time intake after hearing that though.
I currently have a fever blister. I knew it was coming as my son shared his cold with me. I always get them when I get sick and usually take lysine like it's going out of style. I wasn't sure if I could take it now that I'm pregnant though or if I just have to suffer through it. Abreva never really does anything for me but right now, I'll take what I can get. I figured I'd call the doc office when they open in a bit.
I googled "Will taking folic acid prevent spinal bifida" and "middle names for Violet, Ruby, and Emma". Edited to add that I also googled where to find chewy red hots in my area
apparently in other countries sushi is considered extremely healthy and important for pregnancy. We can't have it because of potential food poisoning but idk how I feel about that reasoning because I've only ever gotten food poisoning from one restaurant on overcooked food, the rest of the food poisoning I've had was from not great home cooks!
@kaitieb14 I've been eating sushi this entire time. Deli meat too. I don't eat raw sushi pregnant or not though. I only eat cooked sushi (can't stand the texture of raw fish)
@kaitieb14 My OB said it is fine to eat sushi from reputable restaurants where you've eaten before and never gotten sick. She recommended avoiding tuna because of the mercury, but if you know the quality, sushi is OK. I went to sushi lunch last week and got one tempura roll (fully cooked) and one spicy salmon roll (raw salmon). If you're really craving it and you can get a good product, you should be fine.
Re: GTKY: What's the last weird thing you googled?
"pregnancy how many tums can you take per day"
followed by
"pregnancy can you get addicted to tums"
Thanks heartburn!
I learned from googling that you can safely eat up to 15 Tums per day! Is that a lie? I'm eating about 5 per day...
i burp violent gut wrenching burps. They frighten me and my child.

My last pregnancy related post was "chance of miscarriage a 10 weeks." I just like looking up the statistics and seeing it go down week by week.
