Bachelor Fans- Final Rose

Well, that's a wrap! Nick proposed to Vanessa and she said yes. Poor Raven.

  

So Let's talk about it.

Were you surprised he chose Vanessa? And will they last?

Who *should* he have chosen?

Were you surprised he made Raven go through getting ready and pouring her heart out to him instead of telling her before like bachelors in the past have?

Anything to add?

    Wasn't surprised he chose Vanessa, but doubt they'll work out---although I was surprised to hear that they're planning on moving to the USA! That was shocking based on the way the show has portrayed her. I hope they work out, but the bachelor doesn't have a great track record of that.

    Who it should've been: Ummm Corinne? Haha jk she's a mess. I don't know. I can't picture any of them together long term.

    I wasn't surprised they had the final rose ceremony with Raven. It's such a huge part of the finale that I think he might've been contractually obligated to wait. 

    Adding: I got nauseous watching him break up with Raven! So so painful but she handled it like a champ. Glad she'll be on BIP. 

    Did NOT like that they "started" the bachelorette last night. Four guys? That was painful and awkward.

    I wasn't surprised he chose Vanessa, all season long he said they were so much alike so it was pretty obvious it was going to be her. He has a type for sure. No, they will not last.

    He should have chose Raven. Way less complicated and way more love. Or corinne.

    I hate that he did. He could have at least spared her from saying how in love with him she was. Maybe it was contracted like @mrsmatt1212 said.

    I think Rachel will be an awesome bachelorette but the big surprise for Rachel with the guys was super awkward.

    I don't have much to say but I totally agree with the original statement included here which was "Nick and Vanessa's relationship summed up in one picture"



    I didnt find Rachel's new guys attractive until I saw this picture of Blake today...

    There was one, maybe 2 seasons where the lead has let the runner up know before the final rose ceremony. I wish he would have done that for Raven knowing how it feels. 
    I do not think they will last at all. Maybe as long as he's in DWTS they will stay together...
    That was super awkward revealing four guys last night. Not sure why that was done but to maybe beat RealitySteve to the punch?  Too bad he already had 4 other guys to release today!  I just love him!

    it was fun ladies!  We will have to do this again starting in May when Rachel's season starts!!

    @sgrant432 Reality Steve had announced that Rachel would be meeting her guys before After the Final Rose aired so he was able to still spoil that "historic moment."

    Can't wait to see how Vanessa magically "moves to the USA". I predict they break up at the first visa issue. I also may be skeptical because DH and I were apart for years sorting out visa stuff.

    I don't think I've ever seen a final rose ceremony with just one girl. Like others, I wonder if they are forced to have both of them come for the drama. 

    Can't wait for BIP - the ridiculous, awkward drama is just too entertaining. Also saw Chris Soules was invited to join...I'm not a huge fan of him, but he and Raven might be cute because they're both used to country living.

    not really, but I read spoilers beforehand. I want them to last, but don't see it happening.

    i honestly think he would have been better off with Raven.

    I feel like they make both of them come out, but I wish he would have had at least cut her off as she was pouring her heart out.

    @secicc12 I came to the US in a fiancée visa and it only took 5 months so its doable.

    @LivLew True - DH came on a J1 for work then had to switch to H1B, then finally green card... so it can definitely work out. I just don't see them having the patience for a long-distance relationship.

    The only way I see this working is if Vanessa also secretly wants to be famous.  I didn't see that in her.  It seemed like her career was so important.  But her saying they were moving to the US and she was starting a charity made me think she's more aligned with his life goals than I thought.

    They looked and sounded miserable.  I totally get that it would be tough in a situation where you had to hide your relationship for months.  But they just didn't seem happy.

    @bumpybump That's awful! I can't imagine being in that situation and fleeing the scene. Will be interesting to see how things develop..
