I hope this is allowed. Sorry, it's about to get gross. Don't read if you have a sensitive stomach! I guess, who doesn't during pregnancy, haha. Anyway. Have any of you struggled with a really severe yeast infection? I have what must be one right now. It's so bad that my vaginal lips are swollen and itchy and I even have little white itchy bumps (that I think might be enlarged follicles). I have white to light yellow discharge. I started taking Monistat 7 two days ago but haven't really noticed any improvement yet. It is so uncomfortable! My husband and I are gone a lot (he drives a semi truck and I go with him) so I can't go to the doctor for a few days. They did tell me to use Monistat, though.
I am just looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience? I need to know that this is going to get better soon! It's driving me nuts! Also, I'm married, so it's for sure not a STD.
Any input?
Re: Severe yeast infection?
**edited to fix typo
With all the extra discharge and moisture it's hard to keep super clean. At the end of my last pregnancy I got yeast infections all the time. A little cream before going to bed and I felt a million times better in the morning.

Google search suggests you up your intake of yogurt (probiotics) , if you can try that, I would give it a shot
I will update when I get the results.

Update: My culture results came back in. No signs of any remaining yeast infection or any other kind of infection! And my vajayjay is almost back to normal!!!!!!!! My doctor thinks I just had a severe reaction to the Monistat, for whatever reason. I will NEVER use it again. It was probably the most pain I had ever been in in my life

@lovehorse77 Really?? I hadn't heard of anyone having reactions anything like this to Monistat until I did and looked it up online! My doctor said she had never seen anything like it before. But that she had heard of people having reactions like that, mine was just really severe. Just so glad that I am finally not in pain anymore!
