Okay ladies I have some questions we went to the RE yesterday and we're looking at doing what she called super ovulation which is the FSH a trigger and IUI she's recommending follistim 300 IU ....how much of this do I need to buy I'm waiting for her to get back to me but my cycle starts soon and I'm just trying to get ahead of it how much do I need how many days do you take it I know it's an injectable I'd love to know cost if anybody is willing we all know this process is extremely expensive.... Thank you in advance
PS.. I have calls in to my Dr just don't know when I'll hear back and I need as much information as possible.

Szalayshana. Good luck on your cycle.
This question is super subjective. I can't imagine you'd be taking it all at once and it would be up to the doctor to decide how much/when. The pens come in different sizes. I think 900 IU, 600 IU, and 300 IU. Not to mention, every pharmacy/insurance is different. If I recall correctly, through Freedom Pharamcy, the 300 IU pen cost me $50. So again, it just all depends.

There is no definite answer to your question. Your doctor/nurse will tell you how much to order. Don't worry about your cycle starting soon, the pharmacies will overnight the medication to you.
My clinic goes through MDR Pharmaceutical for Follistim. Prices are $72 for a 75U cartridge, $288 for a 300U, $575 for a 600U, and $863 for a 900U.
For my last IVF cycle we ordered 2 900U cartridges, but I'm sure you don't need near that much for an IUI. If you have insurance coverage the prices will be much cheaper, we unfortunately are all OOP.
