Maternity and newborn photos in Alexandria, VA or the DMV area?

Does anyone have any suggestions on anyone really good who doesn't charge insane prices? I'm finding a lot of photographers who quote reasonable-enough sessions fees but then have exorbitant minimum purchase requirements and/or who then want to charge you well over $1000 for the files.

P.S. I'm due with a girl on April 26th if anyone wants to make friends! This is our first child and we don't have any friends with kids.

Congratulations! At the recommendation of another bump user, I just had our newborn photos done by a woman in Front Royal (she does maternity photos, family photos, etc). Her prices are reasonable and I love our photos! Her company name is Daisy Baby Photography https://www.daisybabyphoto.com

I really liked my photographer but she definitely isn't around the corner. I live in Alexandria currently and the photographer is in Aldie. The name is Sweet Pearson Studios but her price worked for me.

We're most likely going the JC PENNEY route. The pics are so cheap that if we don't like them, we can toss them. And...If you bring props, we rationalize that it's really not all that different from hiring a freelance photog.
