    How far along are you?
    25 weeks tomorrow!
    How are you doing?
I'm mostly good. I worked an overnight shift on Friday and barely slept at all (in about 36 hours). Man, it was tough to recover from that. The rest of the weekend, I was exhausted and cranky. Felt much better today though.
    When is your next appointment?
    Friday!
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I have to work another overnight shift this Friday. Hopefully it won't  be as crazy!

Honestly, I hope we get a fantastic Easter bunny picture with a crying baby outtake. They are some of my favorite pictures (bunny and Santa both).

    How are you doing?
    Feeling good!
    When is your next appointment?
I just had my AS, next one not for a month.
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Rave:  my AS went well. My LO is not much of a mover so I only got one good picture. She just chilled the whole time and wouldn't move. (Which explains why I don't feel her move!)
GTKY: What Easter tradition (doesn't have to be anything religious) do you look most forward to next year with this baby?
My hubby and I are trying to master what we think Easter should be for our children. This year we didn't have my SS so we took DS to church and then to my grandmother's for lunch. But we decided we need to think of a plan because DH went out to the store at midnight because he insisted DS needed a basket. (I wanted to wait till SS returned.) For us, it will always include church. Just not sure what else.

@a2003tiger We didn't get an Easter Bunny picture and I kind of regret it!

How are you doing? fine- still analyzing every twinge and checking the tp every time I wipe.

When is your next appointment? the 24th for a follow up U/S to check on the clot size. Hopefully it's stayed the same or gone down!

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: feeling the baby move all the time is so reassuring. It's really cut down on my doppler use (though I still use it every morning when I wake up). This baby is still settled in so low that the movements feel like they're going to come right out of my hips every time.

GTKY: What Easter tradition (doesn't have to be anything religious) do you look most forward to next year with this baby?
I agree with @a2003tiger in that I hope I can get a decent pic with the easter bunny!

  • How far along are you?  24 weeks, Viability!

How are you doing? With this huge viability milestone, im feeling much better, but I still get nervous if he doesnt move right away. Im also still checking the TP every time @szwill86

When is your next appointment? Next thursday, OB and glucose.

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:  I think my new favorite thing is watching DHs face when he feels little dude move.  Its still too unpredictable to have others feel (which is okay with me, if I could keep it to just me and DH feeling id be cool with that), so DH is the only one who has felt him.  He always gets this huge smile on his face and talks to him.  its so sweet!

GTKY: What Easter tradition (doesn't have to be anything religious) do you look most forward to next year with this baby?
I really want an easter bunny photo.  I also cant wait to buy a cute outfit for him.  My mom would always take my sister and me out to get a new easter dress, and that was one of my favorite traditions.  I cant wait to start that with my DS (whoa thats odd to type as a FTM), next year, and for as many of the years I can get him excited to buy new clothes.

    How are you doing?
Good. I have started getting really anxious about things like car accidents at this point.

    When is your next appointment?
    5/3... glucose test... joy

    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Sat in a freaking airport for HOURS yesterday because my first flight had "maintenance issues" and arrived late so we were delayed over 40 minutes and I missed my connecting flight home so I sat in another airport for 3 hours and didn't get home til very very late (or early depending how you're looking at it) last night/this morning. Me and couch today to watch 13 Reasons Why since I finished the book!

GTKY: What Easter tradition (doesn't have to be anything religious) do you look most forward to next year with this baby?
I'm with you guys and the crying baby easter bunny photo! Otherwise I used to LOVE egg hunts. The eggs filled with a $1 or some candy!
  • How far along are you?  23+1

How are you doing? Better every week!

When is your next appointment? 4/27 for a check up

Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: my in laws visited last weekend for Easter and I never had the desire to slap my MIL so I'd say it was a successful visit! However, she decided (without asking) to change their flights so that they visit the same weekend after baby's birth as my BIL and his wife. Normally a combined visit would be great, but this will be less than a month after the EDD and that'll make us have a full house. She's regularly a piece of work and it stresses me out just thinking about her being there with the newborn and thinking about the other being there at the same time! She also said that she's going to try to get my SIL to come then, too. We don't even have enough beds for everyone normally let alone make me have to worry about that as a FTM with a newborn.  I think what also really bothered me is that she changed their flights without talking to us and then just sent an email to DH about it and didn't even bother to ask or tell me...

GTKY: What Easter tradition (doesn't have to be anything religious) do you look most forward to next year with this baby?
My parents always hid our baskets growing up so eventually we'll do that. But next year will probably include mass, some hilarious photo, and an adorable outfit
  • @mokay19 wait, NO ONE thinks it's inappropriate to be staying in your house when you have a newborn?? They didn't even offer to stay in a hotel? Way to over-impose themselves. I'd be pissed about my MIL changing her flight without notice, too. Maybe your husband can mention it to her somehow?
  • @szwill86 this is so typical of my MIL. And THANKFULLY DH is going to talk to her and just say that it would be best for them all to stay in a hotel since we'll have enough going on being first time parents, preparing my husband for deployment, and just figuring out parenting life! My ILs just think it's another vacation and don't think about the fact that there is a newborn involved.
  • @mokay19 good! Hope they are understanding about everything!
  • @Kudlica27 - I'm glad to hear your as went well!!
@mokay19 - I hope you get your IL situation figured out- it's no fun to entertain when you have a newborn. My MIL is going to stay with us but she actually is helpful and cooks and cleans for me for a week.

    How far along are you?
    Almost 22 weeks
    How are you doing?
Pretty good but I check after every wipe still too! It's a habit now I think
    When is your next appointment?
    End of the month
    Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Heartburn started out of nowhere so I'm hoping some acv will keep it at bay

I loved watching DD do an Easter egg hunt this year - I had never been to one because where I'm from up north we typically had snow on the ground. And looking forward to Easter bunny pics too!

How far along? 23 weeks +3 days

How are you doing? Great, baby is active which is good. My own kids are majorly cranky today and in bad moods which has been my main cause of craziness!

When is your next appointment? This week for my 24 week U/S. Excited to see my little girl again, but it almost feels weird to have such frequent U/S. I'm scheduled for once every 4 weeks.

Rants/Raves: I show really late, which is good because I'm switching jobs and start in mid-May, but annoying as hell in all other aspects. I buy baby clothes and the cashier always asks- do you need a gift receipt? No I don't need a damn receipt; it's for me! At Easter mass I had to stand the entire time with the kids, again don't look 6 months prego. I'll eventually get over it when I'm 7 months and finally show visibily but for now it's frustrating and annoying.

Easter tradition? Dressing her up in a fluffy Easter dress Iike I did with my other daughter I guess? I love tutus and loved them on my daughter as a baby.. looking forward to that aspect again.
  • Oops, meant to add: My DD (5) and DS (3) are terrified of the Easter bunny so we have yet to do a pic with him ever because they won't even go near him!
