@2Dash Yes! I was so annoyed! I wanted to take a nap on their comfy chairs and let him destroy their store. They had a lot of little boxes he could have knocked over. But, alas, I resisted!
Mine is on the fact that i keep asking my dh if i look preggo or fat or if it's covered up, each morning before work. He said to stop asking hin because to him it all looks preggo. I'm still trying to hide it at work though. 10 weeks and looking pudgy. I nicknamed the baby biscuit because i feel like i look like a busted can of biscuits in everything.
We had a sewer line back up in our high school location (where my office is located) around noon and the plumber couldn't come out until 4pm. We could not shut off the water because we had 400 kids in the building and note having working toilets/sinks wasn't an option.
Our building and my office literally smelt like s*** for 4 hours. Combine that smell with nausea and it was a very rough 4 hours. It was miserable.
Tomorrow is a new day and I really hope the plumbing crew fixed the problem.
WTF on her post about us November ladies. After glancing at her post history (which mas minimal on this board), I have no idea what she would be referring to....other than the fact she seemed excited about the Secret Facebook group when most people were suspect of starting it so early.
@kyethra You sound like a great educator; I'm sorry the kids aren't doing their work- but you seem to be giving them your all. My mom was a teacher for 40 years and I saw firsthand how (some years) it was a total uphill battle to get students to even care. Hang in there!
My complaint today is mainly about the process of home improvement. We have a big fixer upper on our hands. Every project takes more time, more money, more trouble than we ever guess. The biggest issue is simply having the contractors call us back! Each time we try to get a quote on a project, it takes weeks to have someone return a call/stop by and see the scope of the work/submit a bid. I'm especially feeling the push to get as much work done as possible by November.
I had really been starting to like the name Hazel because it's pretty and a family name. But I was hesitant because there's a Hazel in DS's class and I was afraid DS might be all "like Hazel from school?!??!!" But okay, I could ignore that. Then someone said on the name thread that they thought Hazel was really expanding in popularity. Ugh I like traditional or vintage names that are recognizable but not trendy. I don't want LO to have to go by name and initial every year at school. Cautiously considering at this point.
And this morning I see someone on Facebook, who often just kind of rubs me the wrong way, is naming their daughter due in July, Hazel. Ugh three strikes, that name is out. Serves me right for not unfollowing her when all she does is irritate me, I guess.
This one nurse at the OB office insists on putting the plus size blood pressure cuff on me due to my weight. I am five foot two and my arms are not big enough for it. I tell her it goes over my elbow but she keeps insisting I need that one because of what I weigh. It is also a bit loose when tightened all the way. She can't be getting an accurate reading. Smh

@am1117 I understand completely what you are going through. My husband and I bought a fixer upper in March 2016. We immediately began working with an architect to develop plans and search for a contractor. We have at least 15 general contractors out to the house to talk scope and price. Only 2 ever got back to us. This fall we finally found THE perfect GC for our project but it was after months and months of countless phone calls and no progress (and planning a wedding). Finally work has begun and progress is definitely being made, but there are always issues and delays. My advice (not that you asked for it): try not to take it out on your husband and try to see the big picture - when it's all done it will be exactly what you wanted. Let me know of you ever need to commiserate!
@kt&john (I can't tag you!) she's not getting an accurate reading. The BP cuff must correlate with the size of your arm, not your weight. If you do have an arm that is too small for the regular cuff, there is a long option that works wonderfully. The large cuffs really only fit people with super long arms, where it doesn't overlap your elbow.
@ariasbabyblog@jess0211 Insurance junk is the worst! I have been in the process of signing up for the new policy at work. I was told I could sign on as a new hire a few months ago but it would be in my beat interest to wait until april because of the new enrollment period and some changes coming up in april. I waited for all this new stuff, and now I'm being told that even though I'm paying for april, I won't actually be covered until May. I just want to make phone calls to see which bits amd pieces of midwifery services I can get covered (if any). Our office lady said she should have some answers by today but I am so sick of waiting.
My gripe- Easter sunday took SO much out of me! I was at the restauraunt at 6 am to start setting up, and I didn't end up leaving until 5pm. The food smells almost outed me due to morning sickness, something happened with the pepsi lines and syrup started leaking out of the ceiling in the kitchen (it got in my hair and all over my white chef coat), and my walkie stopped working half way through the largest seating so I was running up and down stairs for 4 hours like a headless chicken to fire refills for the buffet line. I slept 10 hours and I was still a zombie all day yesterday.
It was a little b*tchy of me to repeat it here, but I was just so surprised someone would say that. I haven't seen anyone acting ridiculous here (save the people who never post but want to join a Facebook group ). I also wanted to make sure she didn't bother coming back if that's what she thinks.

Eh. She was the one out of line by insulting one BMB to another BMB. I don't think repeating it was bitchy at all.
I've been on TB since 2012 and have been super active on 2 BMBs, stalked another heavily, and lurked quite a few more. This is probably the nicest one I've come across. Given, we're only a few months in and a lot can change and a lot of snark can still come out, but I find nothing about us ridiculous. Except maybe our ridiculous niceness to even (IMO) the most eyeroll-worthy of posts.
@ArtificialRed I love the name Hazel too, but it doesn't go with our last name at all. It is becoming very popular.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@ArtificialRed- BabyCenter has Hazel as the #89 most popular baby girl name of 2016. I don't think that's all that popular at all - at least not bad enough that she'll have to be known by her last initial.
My DD's name jumped from not even being in the top 100 to being in the top 35 over the course of 4 years. So even not popular names can see a huge boost in popularity really quickly. FWIW, even in the top 35, I only know one other little girl with her name.
@Roliepoliecoley4 You must be a nurse. I figured as much. She is so stubborn about it. It's super annoying. As for my name it is from my knot days more than 10 years ago and I think they no longer allow the special characters so the "&" makes me untaggable. I really need to quit being lazy and change it.

@kissthesky32 the fact that it is becoming more popular (I thought it was you, @NYTino24, that mentioned that) combined with the fact that I know one, soon to be two little girls with it is just too much for me. The unpredictability of finding names that are well-known but not often-used has caused me plenty of grief. We don't make it easy on ourselves lol
I heard whispers of DS's name to be the next to explode in popularity not long after he was born and I totally panicked. Luckily it never seemed to pan out!
ETA Hazel can still be on the middle name list, but not first anymore.
@am1117 I feel your pain... We are completely remodeling our upstairs. We have a really old house, built in 1915, and we took out all the plaster and lath. We got a bid to hang out sheetrock and my DH called him right away to tell him we would go with him and he never called back. Then we found someone else to do it (for cheaper) and they have their own people mud and tape and those people completely forgot about us! They were supposed to come 2 weeks ago and are finally at our house today.
@alwaysadventure I would think that those who post in boards they no longer want to belong to probably also have a lo of extra time on their hands. #potcallingkettleblack

@TallMomma29 is pretty great IMO. Just like Nov 17.
thanks @DuchessOfCambridge for being on it!
edit to say-- @TallMomma29
YOU ARE AWESOME!
