Thanks for posting this, @flowerintherain! 1) How many weeks are you? 13 weeks — baby's the size of a lemon, which seems appropriate given my username 2) How are you feeling? Finally starting to feel a little better, thank God! Looking forward to the second trimester.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? No 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: My husband has worked an early morning schedule (2-10 a.m.) for the last five years and just found out he's permanently moving to a normal day shift next week! I won't be alone in the middle of the night with this new baby!! (All the celebratory emojis)
5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? Celebrating with all of the in-laws on Saturday and breaking the news about Baby #2 during the egg hunt Can't wait!
2) How are you feeling? Still puking and still avoid most foods. Super tired all the time!
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Going for an ultrasound on Saturday! Hopefully all looks good and we see a healthy baby. Bonus points if we can get a heads up if baby is a boy or girl.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? was able to pick up heart beat on home Doppler and that was a big relief. Also feeling more flutters and movement this week so that eases my mind.
5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? not much. Probably will do waster baskets for the kiddos and then DH has to work for the majority of the day.
@hippiegirl884 I hope you get some relief soon! @lemonlyman That is exciting news about your husband! My DH used to work overnights and he changed to day shift when DS was born. I was so thankful!
1) How many weeks are you? 11 weeks
2) How are you feeling? Doing better this week...still exhausted by the end of the day, but I at least have energy during the day.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nope. I'm just patiently waiting for my genetic/gender test results.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Today is my birthday!!
5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? We will go to brunch with my parents and do a small Easter egg hunt for DS afterwards.
2) How are you feeling? Super exhausted. But okay other than that.
3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nope. My next appointment isn't until I'm 15 weeks
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? My doctor said he needs to do some test at 15 weeks..all I remember is him saying something about the cord and checking if it's in the front or back? I think.. I've never heard of this.. What is this "test"?
5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? Eh idk. My in-laws want me and DS to drive 4 hours north to spend it with their family. And they're great people, but my husband left me a couple months ago because he wasn't ready for family life and it's still a sensitive subject. I know if I go his siblings are gonna be asking questions about why he left, our recent loss, this pregnancy, etc and idk if I'm ready for that. I may just stay here and spend it with my best friend and all her and her husbands family. They've pretty much adopted me and DS into the family, and I feel like it'll be a lot more comfortable of a situation.
October 2017 May siggy challenge - Parenting fails
@flowerintherain I say do what makes you happy and comfortable! Hanging with your best friend sounds better to me. And I have no clue what that test is! It is too late for the NT scan and too early for the anatomy scan. I don't have any u/s in between those two.
@dmellis02 happy birthday! 1) How many weeks are you? 14 weeks! Woooo second trimester! 2) How are you feeling? Better. Less exhausted and gagging less frequently now. 3) Any appointments or tests this week? Nope. I'm having my second trimester screen next week, and my next OB appointment is in two weeks. 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Is it weird that reading the L&D thread has made me excited for October to get here? 5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? H and I are on the worship team at our church, so we'll be quite busy that morning. Then we have hockey playoff tickets that night.
1) How many weeks are you? 14 weeks! 2) How are you feeling? Other than fatigue and some random nausea here and there I'm finally feeling better 3) Any appointments or tests this week? I have my 14 week checkup today, woot woot! I'm hoping they go over my blood work and tell us what sex we're having 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? 5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? We're going to my parent's for the weekend and will finally break the news to them, so I'm super excited!
1) How many weeks are you? 13 weeks - Woohoo!! 2) How are you feeling? Good! The bump is becoming very real and more prominent, today was the first day that I was very aware of my little bump and how much more it's protruding. 3) Any appointments or tests this week? Had my normal every 4 weeks appt yesterday, saw a different OB as mine was out for the afternoon. But we were able to find the baby's HB on doppler, going strong at 160. Doc said they are very pleased with me finally gaining back a pound from the beginning, and baby is healthy and doing well! 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave - I know I can be a lot to handle, especially now that my pregnancy hormones make me crazier, so I couldn't be more grateful & thankful for my hubby. He's seriously so supportive and caring, it makes me tear up all the time. LOL 5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? No big plans, easter egg hunt for my SD and giving her an Easter basket. Then a big easter egg hunt at a close friends house for everyone's kiddos.
1) How many weeks are you? 13 weeks! And one day, now that I've waited til wednesday to post lol.
2) How are you feeling? I feel less nauseous throughout the day but I'm still throwing up occasionally. And still so flippin tired. Could have something to do with a sinus infection I've developed....
3) Any appointments or tests this week? no, unfortunately I don't go back until I'm 16 weeks!! That's the beginning of May! Feels so far away. Time to bust out the Doppler.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions? just so over this sinus infection. My whole face hurts - my neck, jaws, teeth. And the mucus drainage has been making me throw up more often so that's fun. Anybody have any good remedies? I've been taking Mucinex.
5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? We are Christians and so this is a huge celebration for us! We're volunteering for our church's Easter egg hunt on Saturday and I think my parents will bring our 18 month old out to do the actual hunt (I volunteered before I realized he might find it fun lol). And then Sunday, we have to be at church at 8 because I'm a worship leader and will be singing at 9:30 and 10:30 and my husband runs the cameras for the live stream of our church service. I'm very excited but nervous about having this sinus infection so close to singing. My family will be coming to that. And then we head home for DSs nap, then to my grandparents for dinner and playing outside! Can't wait to celebrate the resurrection of my sweet Savior!
1) How many weeks are you? 16+1. Had my monthly check up yesterday and dr. confirmed MFM recommendation to move my due date. Luckily, still a Tuesday Ticker gal! 2) How are you feeling? More energy, less constant nausea - though I still vomit my meals occasionally. Meat protein aversion, and I think dairy is waging war on my body. Emotionally - I'm disappointed I've lost more weight. I know that I was about 25lb overweight when I started but even dr. was very worried. She threatened to put me on medication but instead we agreed to focus on protein supplement shakes and smoothies. I'm also secretly begrudging my IL for forcing us to announce this week. DH is so excited and really working on the announcement ideas that I don't want to be a debbie downer and let him know how upset I am. So instead I vent to yall lol. 3) Any appointments or tests this week? Just my monthly check up yesterday. I'm scheduled for anatomy in 4 wks! 4) Rants/Raves/Questions? just privacy vs in laws... the L&D thread helped me with a lot of questions I had and didn't know I had. I'm glad so many mommas shared. 5) GTKY: What are your plans for Easter? Up in the air for now. IL don't know if they'll be in town or not, and my family only has one kiddo still in egg hunting age. We'll probably go to mass and then cookout.
@PizzaMonster3 Protein aversion sucks! I had that with DS, but this time around I can actually eat meat; though it is day by day. I hope it doesn't last your whole pregnancy!
@MCraig1484 Let us know how your checkup goes. How exciting!
Ahhh! The nurse practitioner thought we already knew, so she was super excited to tell us that we're having a girl! I didn't think I would be so happy, but since we have a boy already, it just works out perfectly
