I kind of like tomatoes. Half the time I end up picking them off sandwiches and subs
My UO is that I hate hand, neck and chest (on females) tattoos. I just don't think it looks good especially when you have the letters "hate" or profanity spelled out on each finger. I don't mind tattoos anywhere else and think some look awesome but those places should be avoided.
Oh, man, I've been obsessed with tomatoes this pregnancy. I easily go through a pint of grape tomatoes every week.
I think yogurt is disgusting. Regular yogurt, Greek yogurt, even frozen yogurt -- all gross to me. I've tried for years to like it because it's so healthy, but I'm over it. I'll just take a probiotic.
I don't like tomatoes, but I like pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, ketchup...weird
This is me. Even sun dried are okay. I've tried all varieties of tomatoes and with salt or sugar or blah blah and nope. I'll even try them again every 6 mo-year. Ick.
I love tomatoes and all tomato products- although I strongly believe that ketchup only belongs on potato products.
Yogurt is delicious (although frozen yogurt is much better...haha)
@swe2 - I agree about tattoos for the most part. I actually encountered a woman at work this morning who had a face tattoo- it said "BLESSED" in huge letters across her forehead. She was also in child support court, somehow unable to find a job...it's a mystery.
My UO: I don't see the appeal of Twitter or Snapchat. At all.
Fur daughter: 02/2011 Human sons: 11/2015 & 05/2017 *formerly kayemjay*
I used to hate tomatoes. My Gramma had a farm garden when I was little and she would pick them, salt them, and eat them like an apple. Gross! However, my best friend now, who grew up on a farm in North Carolina, said you gotta re-try tomatoes as an aduly, on the vine or hierloom only. They're the only ones that actually taste like tomatoes! I took her advice and I like them now! Not love...just like...but at least I don't hat them anymore.
@SWE2 what about back of the neck? This isn't a trick Q, I won't be offended if you don't like it! :P My dad passed away from cancer in 2004 and 3 weeks later, my best friend's dad died of a heart attack while scattering my dad's ashes in the woods. We went together a year later and got their signatures on the back of our necks, at the nape.
My UO is that I can't stand 'Curb your Enthusiasm'. I get no entertainment in watching an absolute moron constantly self-sabotage his life in cringe-worthy ways!! It's so uncomfortable
@kayemjay2 complete mystery as to why she can't get a job...I hear ya on twitter and snapchat. I have twitter but don't really use it and snapchat has been gone for awhile for me. I barely use instagram haha and probably an UO (at least to you) but I put ketchup on fried chicken
"A day without laughter is a day wasted." ~Charlie Chaplin
@sweaterboots - Now I want a salted tomato ASAP! So delicious. There is definitely a huge difference between most store bought tomatoes and vine ripened. Also, your tattoo sounds meaningful and tasteful- love it

Tomatoes are nasty, but also do not eat ketchup and order pizza with light sauce. Everything about salsa is yucky. I do not have twitter and I have refused to get snapchat to DH's dismay. Regular yogurt is yummy. The texture of greek is a no-go for me and frozen yogurt is a sad attempt at ice cream (frozen custard is worse).
I had an OU, but I cannot remember it. Will be back when/if it returns.
I have had both tomatoes AND yogurt to eat today. What are the odds, people? I used to just like tomato sauce but eventually came around to tomatoes themselves, especially in the right combination. My favorites are a TBM salad (what I had just now) or a greek salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, onion) but with NO olives. I hate olives! I doubt that is a UO, though, so I have to think of my own.
My UO: OK this is a TOTALLY random one. I wanted to try to think of something that's a UO that I like rather than the typical ones that people don't like. So here goes -- I sort of like that "hot car" feeling when your car has been baking out in the sun all day and you get in. Like it feels like a sauna when you get in. I'm usually cold so it feels nice. I even like it if it is already pretty warm outside, and especially if I came out to my car from being inside an air conditioned space.
That said, being pregnant over the summer is a whole different issue of "hot" and isn't pleasant. I'm thankful for the May due date because we're only going to have a small number of "I'm swollen from heat!!" days before we deliver.
I have no interest in watching "The Buisness of Being Born". Give me my epi thaaaaaank you! I'm not trying to watch anything that's going to make me have doubts at the last minute!
Why does this thread, every week without fail, end up being about food?! LOL
My UO: I have no problem with ketchup on hot dogs. My hubbs shakes his head sadly every time I skip the mustard and go for the ketchup. And if I do that in a ballpark, he'll quickly side-step around me and high-tail it back to our seats ahead of me, lest anyone see him associating with the lowly uncultured riff-raff.
@SKZW Your husband would have serious issues with my hot dog eating skills. There is absolutely no ketchup, mustard, relish, etc. on my hotdogs. Dry dry dry!

@hp_momma I figured I wouldn't be making any friends with that one! I literally cannot eat anything off a Mexican restaurant menu due to my picky taste buds. Often times the desserts are even a no-go.
I love tomato! Especially grape tomato. I got a big box from costco and snack on them every now and then We have a garden bed that came with our house that we plan to clean up someday so we can grow some tomato along with other produce! I also like greek yogurt but don't eat them that much. DD pretty much has a cup every morning, which is nice when she she has her days where she won't eat anything else for breakfast.
I'm not a fan of salty snacks in general. I think salty stuff in general is nasty. Oh and we rarely use butter. It's a miracle we even have any in our fridge now.
Tomatoes are awesome, as are all tomato based foods. I cannot eat hot dogs, there is something about what is in them that weirds me out. Olives of any kind are disgusting and should be thrown in the trash.
I'm also not a fan of visible neck/face/chest/hand tattoos, unless your profession is tattoo artist.
My UO is that I am just not really doing much to prepare for this baby. We have all the stuff we need, but I read all these threads about after care, hospital bags, baskets for babies, and I just can't get myself to do it. Maybe it is me subconsciously saying I'm not ready? Who knows. I have a pretty big support system so if I truly need something I don't have, I'm not worried about my ability to get it.
Andplusalso, this is my FAVORITE thread, and it really saddens me that we can never have any true UO.
Andplusalso, this is my FAVORITE thread, and it really saddens me that we can never have any true UO.
@Jens_Hoes I really wish I could come up with a true UO now, just for you. Alas...
ETA: I may have one. I truly hate politics. I used to be really into it and involved in my young college days and now I hate watching the news, reading about politics, etc. DH is very into politics, so I tell him to report to me any major headlines I need to know. It's not about laziness on my part, in my opinion, but I find politics too depressing to allot any time to them.
Oooh @Hansolosparka reminds me of one that might be a UO- I absolutely hated The Business of Being Born. Probably because I come from a medical family, but I felt like it was incredibly unfair to hospitals and did not accurately discuss the pros and cons of different birthing options. It was super biased and I could not get behind it.
Fur daughter: 02/2011 Human sons: 11/2015 & 05/2017 *formerly kayemjay*
Plain tomatoes are gross, but I LOVE everything made with them. Sauce, ketchup, salsa, etc.
@kat81 I love the hot car/sauna feeling most days when I'm leaving work. I however, hate this feeling when I'm leaving the beach, theme park, or anytime i've been outside for a while and already miserably hot, it just melts me even more.
team no tattoos over here, I just could never commit to something for life like that!
My UO (i can't remember if I've used this before)... i hate the "participation trophy". I think it does kids well to learn how to win and lose. You really can't always "win" as an adult and I think it helps drive dedication and determination to better themselves starting at a young age.
@beachmommy2b I can't stand "participation trophies" either! They drive me nuts!
I, do, however have 2 tattoos, but in nice places. No face tattoos or hand or chest so at least I'm good there! Most of the time people don't even realize I have them! One is on the side of my foot and the other is on my shoulder blade.
"A day without laughter is a day wasted." ~Charlie Chaplin
@kat81 - NOWAY on the hot car. If I am riding with someone, and they do not crank up the car and the AC within SECONDS of entering, I consider it borderline grounds for ending the relationship. I mean, they're trying to kill me soooooo...
@sweaterboots nape is fine! I am not against tattoos just obscene ones in places that if you need to cover up (ahem lady in court) you can. But if you want to show them you just wear a different shirt and display them. Guy in birthing class had them all over and some were profanity and I just can't imagine why put it so that's the first thing people notice?
Count me in the hate hot cars. I don't do heat in general so AC all day!
@SKZW reading your post makes me want fried ice cream and Mexican in general.
@jayandaplus we have the same views on politics. DH is very into them and after everything I just get major updates from him but I'm so sick of politics just let me be in a bubble for a little bit until things calm down
@Hansolosparka I watched the Business of Being Born and still got an epidural. I felt the movie was extremely biased and did nothing to sway me to the other side.
@Louise_Belcher no Mexican food?! I probably would have starved this pregnancy without tacos. Nom nom nom.
@BeachMommy2B I totally agree about participation trophies. I dont mind them when kids are really young, but at a certain age, you're doing the no favors and setting up unrealistic expectations for life.
@Jens_Hoes I'm with you on not doing much to prepare for LO. We have everything we need and beyond that, I can't get the motivation to do much else. I think it's okay though because I realized with my first that a lot of things I thought I needed, I didn't, and things I thought would make life easier, didn't. I think it depends on the baby.
My UO: When I'm not pregnant, I'd rather sleep in a queen with DH than a king.
@MoshiMoshi7 I agree on the queen vs. king. I am not a snuggler (in fact do not touch me while I am sleeping) and I still prefer a queen. My favorite though is getting two queens at a hotel and we each get our own. I know right, I am super romantic! Also I will eat tacos at home where I can control what is going in them. But I don't eat onion, pepper, tomato, beans, sour cream, or guacamole, so I eat before going to Mexican restaurants.

@Louise_Belcher Sometimes I feel like we're the same person.

I'm with you on the two queens. In fact, we stayed at the Westin on our honeymoon and totally got 2 beds in order to upgrade to an ocean view. That heavenly bed? Yeah, I'd much rather have it alllll to myself.
DH and I were just talking about that last night actually when we were watching The Big Bang Theory and Sheldon and Amy are in a super tiny full/queen bed. I just can't imagine being that close to my husband while sleeping haha. We are just not cuddlers.

@Louise_Belcher omg are you my husband?! He put cheese and lettuce on his tacos. It's infuriating cooking for him. We were poor growing up so if Dad splurged and brought home subs they had everything on them. I'm about all toppings always. I love tomatoes, onions, peppers, sour cream, etc. In NC Dukes Mayo & Tomato sandwiches are seriously a thing. I'm surprised at all the tomatoe haters!
I love love love tattoos. I got my first one almost a year ago. It's on my foot and I would never get a neck/face tattoo or anything with profanity.
I love my king bed.
I agree on particpation trophies. Teach kids how to lose! My little brother is such a poor loser.
I hate being hot. I hate when the car is hot.
I have a UO. I have mixed feelings about the United situation. I am very interested to see what turns out in regards to the Dr. suing the airline. Technically nothing happened to him that was illegal. Was it morally right? Eh probably not, but legally airlines can make up give up our seats for any reason. Idk the whole situation is icky, but unfortunately not illegal.
