Starting to mentally prepare myself for one and done

So, I feel like I've tried everything. We transferred 3 "grade A" 5 day blast and all that nonsense embies. All 3 did not take. I have no idea what's wrong with them or with me. Dr said there's nothing wrong with my uterus, I had a polyp removed two years ago so I think there shouldn't be anything there. My Docs explanation? "Maybe all three were just chromosomal abnormal. I have 6 left, one of them is the last early 5 day blast and also considered a "grade A" blah blah.( as you can tell that grading means nothing to me and doesn't make me feel more confident in it working). This month we decided to heck with it and give it a try naturally if I ovulated from the only side that I have a Fallopian tube, and of course I ovulated early! The one month we thought we should be on the right side(since I've been alternating O's like clockwork). According to the blood tests I O'd on CD10 which is not normal for my body ever! The days I usually ovulate is between days 14-18. It's so weird. Anybody else experience that? Anyway, now my Doctor wants to have a sit down chat with us in a couple of weeks to discuss our additional blood test results, and I'm expecting the worst. Please have me in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for listening!

@mamma1614, sorry to hear that your transfer did not take this time around.  I don't have experience with other methods besides IVF, so can't speak to ovulation days and timings. Sounds like you still have one more good blast to transfer, and it only takes one,  right?  I'm thinking positive for you.

I had polyps removed over 3 years ago.  For whatever reason the first time the doctor didn't catch them all. Or maybe more developed afterwards,  who knows. I had to go back in a second time like a month later to have the rest removed after a follow-up hydrosonogram showed that I still had more polyps. After the second surgery, i had an FET and transferred 3 embies.   All 3 took, but I miscarried all 3 at about 6 weeks.

Maybe request another hydrosonogram/saline ultrasound to check if any polyps remain before next transfer attempt?

  • I had uterine polyps.  Just realized there are different types of polyps.  May not apply to you,  but still never hurts to check.

  • Yes that's what I had but it was just one big one. I think i might Ask for another check. Thanks!
