Yes, another ultrasound and OB appt on 4/13 for check of cervical length.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
Feeling anxious about finding out last week that I'm at risk for preterm labor due to a short cervix. I'm now on progesterone and exercise restriction and go back to the doctor to get re-checked this week. I'm really hoping that things stabilize from those measures and I don't have to do more drastic things like start working from home and having greater activity restrictions. I'll do whatever the doctor says I need to do to keep the baby in for as long as possible, but hoping to preserve a normal life at the same time!
4) next baby milestone you are looking forward to?
Kicks big enough for my husband to feel on the outside.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
We were introduced by a mutual friend. Our friend set up a get together with the two of us and a couple of other friends to watch the Red Sox play in the World Series. We got along well and went on our first date four days later (and the Red Sox won the World Series the next day), got engaged a year and half later, and married a year after that.
2) any appointments this week? Yes the anatomy scan finally. I feel like I can rest easier if everything looks good on Wednesday.
3) how are you feeling?Gripes/concerns/gloats? Fairly good. Anxiety ramping up as we come close to the anatomy scan this week. TW:
The scan is scheduled for the day our son passed away 6 years ago. Which is giving me some major stress just thinking of the what ifs. I just need to get past this date.
4) next baby milestone you are looking forward to? My DD and Hubby being able to feel the kicks.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
It's an awkward story. We met at a college bar during a round of name that tune. He dated someone else in my group of friends but not my personal friend for a few weeks. When they broke up, I ran into him again but friends were shunning him. I walked over and said hi and we've been together 15 years since.
@Rhubarb7216 Fingers crossed for a good u/s for you too, and that the measurements stabilize. I'm sure it's a scary situation to be in.

2) any appointments this week? Anatomy scan is tomorrow at last!!!!!! I feel like I'm (almost!) the last to know in this BMB! So excited and of course praying everything looks wonderful.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Terrible reflux, my back is sore, and I have zero energy. I cleaned up the house last week for about 20 mins, then sat down to rest and fell asleep for 2 1/2 hrs. I'm feeling very nesty and want to start getting things ready; buying carseats/stroller, new paint in their room, the cribs set up, all that. But I have so little energy to do anything, I'll most likely be watching DH do all the work, and he already has a lot to do as it is. He's working on finishing our basement before the babies come, and also putting a new swingset together. I feel a bit like a slug watching him work!
4) next baby milestone you are looking forward to? Hmm.. I'm not sure. I've felt a kick from the outside already, and I know it just gets a little painful later in pregnancy, so not really looking forward to the huge kicks and punches too much. I guess I'm most looking forward to the anatomy scan tomorrow and hopefully seeing two 100% healthy babies. And finding out their sex!
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? Match.com! I'd moved to a new city and didn't know anyone and he and I met at the art museum. I thought I'd found a great friend, but he proved to be much more.

3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Not feeling the 2nd trimester glow or symptoms fading. Still lots of heartburn, new gagging in the morning due to mucus build up, headaches, etc.
Starting to talk to people about baby shower world. Summer is so busy so nervous about fitting it all in.

We met in high school. We've known each other for almost 20 years! We didn't actually take each other seriously until about 11 years ago though!

We met a million years ago when we worked together in 2002. Flash forward to 2010 (hadn't had any contact since we both left in 2008) and he messages me on Linkedin saying he got a new job, did I want to have dinner. Looking at it as a business connection, I said sure... we go to dinner, start chatting and lo and behold - turns out we are both single! And that was that! :-)
1) how far along are you? EDD? 18+3 9/8
2) any appointments this week? Had an emergency appointment with on call doctor within my ob's group today due to cramping and pain that had me doubled over and holding my breath. Had an ultrasound beforehand for the doctor to get measurements. Baby so sweet and heartbeat so reassuring, so he's ok I'm just hurting. It's likely scar tissue stretching (I had a myomectomy and ovarian cyst removed to get pregnant) and might be degeneration of remaining fibroids. Rest and Tylenol and narcotics when it's bad, could be 24 hours or could be weeks but expected to pass. Anatomy scan and appt 5/11
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? This has become my weekly whine fest with no wine or cheese. I will be ok, this baby is so wanted and worth all the temporary misery.
4) next baby milestone you are looking forward to?
Birth! I'm beyond ready to hold my baby and experience what all this pain has been for.
GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We met on Tinder, he had been divorced a couple of years and it was an easy way to meet people and I had been online dating for ages looking for my person. Our first date was to a Mexican food restaurant (a man after my heart, obviously!) and we talked so much we never ordered food, just drinks and chips and salsa. Our lives meshed together and we became an awesome team, love my dear husband!

Had my 16w appt yesterday. It was pretty much short and sweet. Checked the HB with a doppler, 155 bpm, sounded good... Then had a blood draw for a spina bifida test. Nervous and anxious to get those results back bc our nephew has spina bifida and there is a slightly increased chance for us because of that.

Physically I actually feel like a normal person again. MS is nearly gone and food aversions have subsided a lot. I even feel like I might be getting some energy back.
Gripes - I have so many gripes... I'll try not to write a novel. Aside from DH being immobile, I got a horrible migraine last week that lasted a couple of days and then during that, we either got a stomach bug or ate something bad. Then!!!! LICE!!!!!! Saturday morning I was combing DD's hair and found one in the comb. Then found one in my hair. So we deloused everybody, washed everything, vacuumed everything, aaand found another one when I was combing out my hair Sunday morning. Repeat everything. I can't remember the last time I actually cried... probably last year sometime... but this really pushed me over the edge and now the floodgates have opened. I feel like I am in a downward spiral and I want to stay at work forever and never go home to my life.
4) next baby milestone you are looking forward to?
Just the anatomy scan. For some reason a good anatomy scan report feels like when I can finally stop holding my breath. We have only told close family and a small handful of other people, so we plan to announce for real to everyone assuming those results are good. I can't believe I have to wait a whole nother month for that... ugh...
GTKY: How did you meet your SO?
okcupid.com about 6 years ago - We met for lunch after he messaged me, and turns out I used to work with and go to high school with his little sister. I think within about 2 weeks of dating, I knew he was the one. He proposed about 6 months later, and a year after that we got married.
I let DD's day care know, and everybody was checked yesterday, and nothing was found, so I am glad it is at least not widespread. I am still leaving her at her grandma's for the next couple of days just in case. (And if we are ground zero, I certainly don't want to spread it around.) I am just happy my washer/dryer didn't die since I ran them for 3 days straight.
Hopefully both your families are done with it!
