How low is too low??? (progesterone supplements)

Apologies if this question has already been asked or answered. I take 200 mg progesterone supplements vaginally a day. I had my levels checked 7dpo. They came back at 16.34. Is that adequate enough for a medicated cycle?

  • My dr. likes it at 30 to maintain a pregnancy, but I think 30 airs on the side of caution.  What does your clinic say?
    Me: 33, DH: 40

Aug. 2016: Hysteroscopy to remove a few polyps & Laparoscopy
    Oct. 2016: FET #1 BFN
Nov. 2016: FET #2 BFP (ended in CP)
March 2017: IVF #2 Fresh Transfer of 2 Blasts = BFP!!! (EDD: 11/27/17)
    Froze 5 Blasts
    DS born on 11/2/17!!!
Back to try for Baby #2 :)

  • @LoveDontCostAThing my clinic said anything over 10 was good 7dpo. But that seems quite low to me. When everything I have read says 10 for unmedicated and over 15 for medicated. I'm 10dpiui and 6dp booster shot.

  • @LoveDontCostAThing thank you for your feedback

My RE wants to see progesterone over 15, so your number of 16 is just fine. Mine came back at 13dpo (the day of my beta) at 11, so I was put on crinone. My levels on the crinone were about 18-20 depending on the week -- not much higher than yours. I believe they want much higher numbers for ivf, but for medicated cycles/IUIs/etc. you don't need to be as high.

  • @adirat thank you. That makes sense. I don't go for my beta until 4/17.
  • Mine said 15 as well
