3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
I feel fine physically, but mentally feeling a little anxious after last week's appointment. The ultrasound showed my cervix was measuring slightly shorter than normal (3 cm or more is considered normal, mine was 2.9 cm). This could mean I have a naturally short cervix and there is no concern (I hope so!) or it could mean I'm at risk for preterm labor. I have to get rechecked this Thursday and if there is no change I don't have to worry about it, but if it is any shorter I will have to start taking some precautions to prevent preterm labor. Good news is that the baby looks great and his growth is right on track. We just have to make sure he's going to stay in there as long as he's supposed to! On the plus side I've been feeling the little guy move a lot the past few days and I love it!

2) any appointments this week? Not till next week. It feels so slow with the waiting in between.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? No complaints.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? Cuba is probably one of my favourite places ever because of the people and culture and history. I'd go back in heartbeat. Otherwise, the Great Barrier Reef was amazing. Being able to get upassed close and see everything was unforgettable. We live so close to the Rocky Mountains that it feels wrong to list it but it is one of my favourite places in the world. Lake Louise really is as gorgeous as it looks.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Feeling pretty well. I have the occasional RLP but overall I'm much less tired which is great. I've been having a lot of anxiety about my water spontaneously breaking. I know the anxiety is related to a couple of different things, but really I have a low risk pregnancy (other than being AMA) so I wish I could just push it out of my mind.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? Paris, followed by Kauai
2) any appointments this week? Nope! I don't have another scheduled until the end of April for an ultrasound at 21 weeks.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? I have been hearing blood pulsing in my ear, which is kind of annoying, but otherwise pretty much ok.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? Good question! I think a couple of my favorites were the Galapagos Islands (so many animals!), and Porto, Portugal.
@Rhubarb7216 hope everything measures the same or more on Thursday! Sending good vibes your way.
@Hopefulmommy1980 thanks for coordinating this every Sunday! I agree with the dopler at home...I hold my breath every time the doc is searching!
1) how far along are you? EDD? 17+3 Sept 8th
2) any appointments this week? Wednesday for heartbeat and normal stuff, next month for anatomy scan.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? My blood work came back clear, so my migraines and exhaustion are 'normal'. Yesterday I had a good day, the best day in months. I started the garden I've intended to put in since February and had birthday dinner and lunch. Waking up at 3 a.m. with another migraine was a bigger blow because a I got a little taste of my life back. Crying a lot today with frustration Though also trying to be posititive, I told my husband that yesterday gave me hope that this isn't forever. Half a maxalt and 3 tylenol and another hour of sleep and the throbbing and aura dulled enough to get to work (with the light off), so at least this migraine didn't keep me home and take away a day of maternity leave! Trying so hard with the positive!! I am at wits end with people telling me it will all be worth it when I see our baby. No $h1t...of course, but that doesn't mean I'm not struggling right now, instead of talk a hot meal and help around the house would be amazing. Excuse my novel here.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? Utila, Honduras...strictly for the sheer number of dives I was able to do the week I was there. It is a beautiful, low key island and the diving is phenomenal. I love reading everyone's travel adventures! Appreciate reading some happy stuff today.
1) how far along are you? EDD? 17 weeks on Wednesday, 4/5. September 13, 2017
2) any appointments this week? Nope - have a regular appt 4/13 and anatomy scan 4/14 where we will FINALLY learn boy or girl!
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? I feel perfectly fine as wine (mmm, wine. I miss wine). Like i always say, if i didn't keep going to the doctor and they didn't keep telling me there was a kid in there, I would have no idea. ;-)
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? I lived in Mexico for 6 months for work back in 2001. Headquarters was Mexico City but I traveled EVERYWHERE and it was amazing. Each city was so different! Really amazing country!
2) any appointments this week? Nope, I had my 16 week appointment last Friday.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? I'm feeling great. Definitely feels 2nd trimester now.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? This is a loaded question - "best" in what way?? As in, my favorite? As in, most beautiful? As in, most amazing experience? As in, most relaxing? As in, most exhilarating? As in, where I'd rather be today? I know I'm being literal, but all of those "bests" have different answers for me. This is a big world ;-)
2) any appointments this week? No, but I have one Monday. Probably just a quick check up.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Starting to feel and look huge, which is kind of awkward since we're not telling many people yet, especially at my work. I told my bff who works with me and my office roomie and that's it. I just keep wearing light jackets or carrying them around in front of my stomach... haha... someone's gonna walk in here when I've got it all hanging out. My biggest gripe is my dear, sweet, wonderful toddler has decided she is totally over taking naps all of a sudden. I work park time, so I stay home with her 2 week days and do house work, etc. Well, currently DH is working from home bc of his surgery, using the living room as his "office", so I have to try to keep her out of his way. Normally I can turn on cartoons and let her lay down with me while *I* take a little nap if she won't sleep, but that isn't an option now. We're basically relegated to the bedrooms or out of the house, and I can't get any cleaning done because then she wants to go in and climb all over him. It's getting exhausting. Cannot wait until he goes back to the office. At least on days I work, I can just lay down on my little camping mat under my desk during my lunch break.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? Wow tough question. I am blessed to have been a lot of amazing places. I lived in NZ for a couple of years, which was incredible. I've also been to Australia a few times and think that it might be my favorite. The cities, landscapes, beaches, small towns, people, everything there is just cool as hell.
Hi Laides, i think i've posted in the AMA check- in before? but honestly, I don't remember haha
1) how far along are you? EDD? 17 + 6 EDD 09/06/17
2) any appointments this week? not this week, but i have my AS next week... so excited!
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? i've been really emotional the further along i get.. i know a lot of it is hormonal.. but also I never thought i'd make it this far and it hasn't completely sunk in yet
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to? I haven't traveled as much as I would like to... my favorite vacation was a Caribbean cruise... i got to see a lot of amazing places in one trip

@LosAngelesMama We moved to Wellington (south end of North Island) when I was 10 and of course toured the South Island while we were there. Then about 4 years ago my family along with my husband went back for a reunion tour of NZ and Oz, and stopped again in Queenstown for a few days. It's really one of the most beautiful places I could imagine. After LOTR was made there, I would tell people, yeah, the landscape there actually does look exactly like it does in the movies.
@hatrats It really does! Such a beautiful amazing place. I also loved the people. Parents hiking in the middle of nowhere with their little babies. Now that I'm pregnant I'm striving to be an outdoorsy/adventurous mama like I saw in NZ.
@Rhubarb7216 hope your appointment today goes well! Update us if you can.
My very logical and science focused OB recommended a daith piercing for my migraines as a last ditch effort to get some quality of life back. Gonna take bump to the tattoo/piercing parlor..which is seriously cracking me up.
Thanks for checking on me! Unfortunately my appointment did not go as well as I had hoped. My cervix is now 2.2 cm (vs. 2.9 cm last week), so I'm now officially at risk for preterm labor . I have to stop exercising, take progesterone suppositories, and I'm not allowed to travel. We were supposed to go on our babymoon to San Diego next week, so that won't be happening. I go back to the dr again next week and hopefully progesterone helps things stabilize. Definitely feeling rather anxious about this, but trying to stay positive.

16+3, Sept 14
2) any appointments this week?
No
3) how are you feeling?
Crying a lot today with frustration
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to?
Utila, Honduras...strictly for the sheer number of dives I was able to do the week I was there. It is a beautiful, low key island and the diving is phenomenal. I love reading everyone's travel adventures!
1) how far along are you? EDD?
18w. Sept 4th.
2) any appointments this week?
None, until my anatomy scan in 2 weeks.
3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
Pretty good. Tired, but i have a 16-month old and it's Monday so that's pretty standard.
GTKY: What is the best place you have ever traveled to?
Barcelona, Florence, Alaskan cruise (glaciers!)
16 weeks 2 days

My very logical and science focused OB recommended a daith piercing for my migraines as a last ditch effort to get some quality of life back. Gonna take bump to the tattoo/piercing parlor..which is seriously cracking me up.
