Re: Tuesday Ticker Change 4/4
13 weeks
2) How big is baby?
small peach
3) How are you feeling?
anxious after last appointment, but I'm still puking almost everyday and have plenty of other symptoms.
4) Any appointments or tests this week?
had one yesterday
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
just trying to keep my mind busy. There is a snow day today for school so I'm happy about that! I ordered a Doppler and have an elective ultrasound scheduled for next weekend.
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO?
we read a particular Christmas book (the sweet smells of Christmas) every Christmas Eve. It started when I was a kid and I'm keeping up the tradition.
2) How big is baby? strawberry
3) How are you feeling? exhausted and migraines yesterday and today
4) Any appointments or tests this week? blood work which includes genetic testing & gender
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm tired of being tired. I'm ready for more energy! I go to bed when DS goes to bed (8:30) and it is so hard to get up at 6!! I could probably stay in bed all day and still be exhausted.
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? I'm sure we do, but I can't think about any at the moment.
2) How big is baby? Lemon (about 6 cm according to our US yesterday)
3) How are you feeling? Anxious (see below)
4) Any appointments or tests this week? We had our NT scan yesterday. Everything was great, we saw the baby wiggling all over the place and everything. Then the doctor (not my OB) came back and told us that we had a 1:110 chance of Down's, but she didn't give specifics as to whether that was indicated by the NT measurement or something in my blood test. After getting home and researching with the info she did give us, it turns out I have low PAPP-A (.31 MoM). Apparently it's not likely the baby will have Down's given that everything else was normal, but low PAPP-A can lead to other issues, like IUGR and pre-eclampsia. Of course I had to learn all this through extensive Googling, which we all know is a bad idea, and now I'm super anxious. Do any STMs+ have any experience with low PAPP-A and having a healthy baby?
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? See above.
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? H and I both grew up with family traditions that were really important to us. I expect that we'll pass some of them on and create some of our own as well.
@dmellis02 I feel ya on the tiredness and exhaustion.. can't wait for the energy the 2nd trimester is supposed to bring!
@soprano19 So sorry for the anxiety you must be feeling
Pregnancy #2-Due 8/24/17 MMC-01/09/17
DD-Due 10/24/17
11 weeks
2) How big is baby?
Size of a lime
3) How are you feeling?
My nausea has returned...ugh.. And I've had terrible insomnia. But doing great other than that!
4) Any appointments or tests this week?
Nope, no more appointments till I'm 15 weeks unless spotting returns.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Is there anything safe to take to help me sleep at night? I'm up from 3am to about 5 or 6am every night and I'm so exhausted during the day
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO?
Ehh..I can't really think of any I want to pass on, but we'll probably create some of our own.
Pregnancy #2-Due 8/24/17 MMC-01/09/17
DD-Due 10/24/17
1) How many weeks are you? 14 weeks - hello 2nd trimester!!!!
2) How big is baby? Bump says Peach
3) How are you feeling? Much better, but waiting for the energy to return!! Still exhausted and sleepy all day. Irritable too. And RLP all day long.
4) Any appointments or tests this week? None this week.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Any suggestions to make DD understand I am not a human jungle gym anymore? She jumped on my tummy on Saturday. Called the oncall midwife who said I didn't need to come in - baby is extremely protected by the uterus and other "layers" that she wasn't super concerned. She said to monitor how I was feeling, rest, no sex or anything that would irritate the uterus for a couple days and call on Monday to check in. It felt like my uterus was "bouncing back" and a bit sore for about 48 hours but was back to normal by yesterday morning. Everything feels as it should. The midwife yesterday said I could choose to come in or wait til my appointment next week, especially since I didn't have spotting, fluids or contractions. I chose to wait since I'm feeling like a normal pregnant person.
Weve had multiple conversations with DD about mommy and baby and that she can't just jump or play rough without warning. It works for a couple days then it's back to normal. I'm sure once I'm bigger it'll make sense in her mind!
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? We started a few when DD was born. Our fave is waking up Christmas morning at our house and having our own little family Christmas before spending the rest of the day with extended family. Makes the holiday more enjoyable and less stressful.
ETA: the app deleted everything after question 2! Boo!
2) How big is baby? Bump says Lemon. My other app says Jalapeno.
3) How are you feeling? I am feeling pretty good. Some days I have energy and other days I sleep until 11am. The heartburn is what is getting me down this week, lol.
4) Any appointments or tests this week? None.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? Aside from getting together for certain holidays, my family isn't *huge* on tradition. My DH's family, however, have a ton and I would love to carry those on with our children.

@soprano19 - dont listen to google. Try to trust your doc. If you're feeling uneasy about what that doc said, could you call up your doc to see what they have to say? Maybe they could put your mind at ease? Also, what about the genetic testing - maybe you could do that too?
@sdarling2010 - how old is your daughter? Can she understand that you have a baby growing? If not, you just have to play defense? My daughter is 2 and she doesnt really get the whole baby thing - so we kind of just redirect her focus to something or someone else.
1) How many weeks are you? 10 weeks - double digits already!
2) How big is baby? one app says butterfly, another says strawberry ..
3) How are you feeling? so so tired. Probably should not have stayed up till midnight sunday watching 13 reasons why. And probably not while pregnant either - makes me all teary eyed.
4) Any appointments or tests this week? i have a doc appt on friday - will finally take the maternti21 test!
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? anyone worried about the zika virus? Kinda nervous about going outside once the weather is nicer. Anyone have any suggestions on how to prevent it?
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? we have so many. We will try to pass them all along but knowing us, they will probably change alittle with 3 youngins.
*May Siggy Challenge - Parenting Fails*
@flowerintherain The OBs I work with allow Benadryl/Unisom. I sleep like the dead, so haven't ran into that problem, but I've written it on discharge orders many times.

Expecting #1: 10.10.2017
2) How big is baby? Lemon
3) How are you feeling? Well... I puked before dinner last night... then I puked during dinner. Finally got some more Diclegis and holy crap I'm feeling so much better today. Nausea's to a minimum and no puking yet. Still have to make it through dinner... but the relief is huge!
4) Any appointments or tests this week? Appointment with my midwife last Friday and I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Told my MIL this past weekend. Her first grandchild and she was so excited. Though she yelled at us for keeping it a secret so long... and we won't let her tell anyone else until we come up for Easter... she was like "how the heck am I going to keep this a secret!?" lol
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? The holiday traditions I guess. We don't do anything specific except for visiting family. Looking forward to making some new ones though!
BFP #2 3/18/19 * EDD 11/25/19* DS born 11/30/19
@crazypuglady Yay for hearing the heartbeat!
@soprano19 ugh that makes me angry for you that you're doctor didn't give you better information. Hopefully everything goes well with the next blood text. Easier said than done, but try not to stress too much.

@soprano19 that's super frustrating that you didn't get more answers, I know that a lot of doctors only give you info if you ask, but when you get news like that its hard to get past the news and think about all of the questions.
@hopeby2015 I'm nervous too, I get bit very easily (they must like my blood type or my smell lol), I've read that deet works really good and is safe to use while pregnant

This appointment was moved out a week and switched from being with the OB to NS. I know these things happen, but jeez!
6) GTKY: Are there any family traditions that you want to pass on to your LO? a lot of our traditions revolve around food...I'm not a good cook, but I guess I need to start paying attention!
