Hey everybody,

I'm back from vacation, feeling refreshed and fabulous! I highly recommend the Bahamas (Paradise Island, Atlantis hotel) for anybody who really needs to seriously decompress. I didn't realize that I was borderline depressed until after the third day, I felt strangely lighthearded and realized that it was "happiness".

Just waiting to ovulate... I'm on CD 20, and in the cycles that I've ovulated it's been on CD 21. I've got my consult with the RE on April 25th.

I've had fertile CM for 6 days in a row now... EWCM for one day, watery the next, then EWCM for four more days including this morning... I feel like that can't be right, and most places say five days maximum. I'm just confused.

Not much going on for me this week. Still benched due to my cyst. I have another ultrasound on the 18th for a cyst check.

I go for my midcycle scan on Thursday, I plan on asking them If they see the cyst on my left side because since November I've had a 12mm on my left side on day 2 that they have just told me they think is a cyst, but they never seem to note it in my midcycle report....color me confused. DH is pissed that he has to take off work to drive me (2.5 hours into the city where I don't want to go alone) and claims he didn't know......we have this argument EVERY. DAMN. MONTH. I'm just over it at this point as if going through this wasn't hard enough without him asking me why I can't find someone else to go. Ugh. Sorry for the rant.

Yes to all of your celebrity crushes! Yum. Lol I'm a total brantley gilbert fan, he's just so damn hot and that voice....oh my. There are A few others but he's my favorite

Still no dx for me. I was supposed to have my "action plan" appointment with my RE yesterday but we had to push it back. He wants me to have karotype testing done and my insurance just approved it. Since it will take a few weeks to come back they want to wait until the end of April. I know it's for the best, and I want him to have a complete picture of everything, but all of this waiting is driving me nuts. Not to mention the fact that my DH has been dragging his feet making phone calls to his insurance to see if they will approve his karotype testing.

In good news, my nurse said that all of my other labs look good. Although that does make me worry about my karotype results. I'm so worried I have a balanced translocation. I'm a mess.

Im glad you had a great trip @GoldenKeys. I stayed at the Atlantis about 10 years ago and it was amazing! I'm sure it's even better now.

My my man crush is Alexander Skarsgard (Eric on True Blood and Tarzan). He is so georgeous. I would post pics but always have trouble while mobile bumping.

i don't have a dx yet. If I had to guess it would be unexplained. Don't have results from sa. The docs office keeps saying that all results will be discussed at the follow up appointment. It's scheduled for next wednesday. Can't wait for a plan !!

im 8dpo today. Feeling kind of chill. I've kind of given up on my body and just waiting for medicinal intervention.

Celebrity crushes would have to be Adam Levine. So not my type but there is something about him. Luke Bryan is a beautiful man as well

So glad you enjoyed your vacation @GoldenKeys. We've been thinking of going to the Bahamas this Summer and I've spent countless hours on Google looking at pictures. It looks so beautiful!

This has been an interesting cycle for us. I went in for a cd14 u/s and had the biggest follicle I've ever had at 15.8! They scheduled me to come back on cd17 (yesterday) and told me to expect to trigger that day. So at my u/s yesterday my follicle was down to a 12.3 and appeared to be collapsed. Because of this they think I ovulated on my own! They suggested we BD for the next 2 days and call in 2 weeks if AF doesn't rear her ugly head.
So.. after 2 years with my RE, I'm finally in my first TWW

@hoffmanr7 & @greenange - what? are you two Supernatural fans? Hahaha! I'm not but I know a woman who was on it, and she goes to fan conventions sometimes. Which is so funny to me. I'm totally not starstruck by her, but I am a huge huge Game of Thrones fan and my sister knows the guy who played Syrio Forel IRL. When she told me, I was like: "OMG, OMG."

@MooFish2364 - I just finished watching Big Little Lies and cannot handle Alexander Skarsgard right now. He was awesome in it, but terrifying!

@notamyrtle - wanted to comment on your last post, in the other thread. Specifically this part:
But yeah, the weird head trip of this journey is having to plan and prepare around my own psychological reactions to things! In fact, the emotional preparation far exceeds the medical preparation I've had to do on this journey.
IVF is super daunting. If I had a family wedding right after, I'd be beside myself!

As it is, I've been trying to plan more fun things to do over these next few cycles. DH is a little reluctant, because he's like: "We might have to pay for IVF!" but I'm of the: "I need to keep my sanity and have things to look forward to." It's like I'm girding myself for any further disappointments, trying to build up little cushions where I can, just to soften some of these blows. I've found this journey has been more emotionally and mentally taxing than physically taxing.

Still waiting on AF to show her ugly face, going on CD 50 now

I just finished up my Prometrium to attempt to kick start my period. If all goes as planned CD1 should be here later this week. I'm so ready to start this next cycle ugh.

On a non TTC note we booked a trip to Seattle/Vancouver for next month. I'm really excited because pre TTC we used to travel all the time and this will be our first trip since we started this process back in October of 2015. Really excited too because we both have never been to either place before.

Question of the week- Depends on the day but Ryan Reynolds is a pretty good one and Jake Gyllenhaal.

I had a CD 12 u/s on Sunday, it showed one follicle on each side (11mm & 10 mm) I go back on CD 16 and the dr. thinks I will be able to trigger that day. *TW*Tomorrow is probably going to be a tough day because my co-worker went to find out the gender of her baby today, so baby talk will ensue I'm sure. *TW*

Thanks ladies! I'm still lurking, likely until the end of the month when I will have my first ultrasound.

@funkykey we put off so many trips when we started TTC, thinking that we would be "really pregnant" at this point or that point, but it just never happened. Now I'm super bummed that we put our lives on hold for it. I'm glad you see how important it is to keep living!! I wish I'd had that insight.

@Worldtravler0522 yes to Jake Gyllenhall!! When I lived in NYC a friend took me to the premiere of Jarhead and I got to meet him, I literally melted into a puddle on the floor when he smiled at me, he's even more attractive in person!!

Ive had a pretty hard weekend and start to my week. **TW** My niece's mother just found out she is pregnant. I'm trying so hard to be happy for her since they tried for a year and a half but it still hard. She is not healthy at all and doesn't take care of herself. It's so frustrating since I am healthy, exercise, eliminated chemicals, and eat healthy and yet I can't seem to get pregnant. Plus she thought that she was having a miscarriage that was almost exactly the same as mine, except her pregnancy seems to be working out. **TW** It just seems that life is a kick in the beans right now.

Thank you @MooFish2364. I'm sorry to hear about your announcement, those are so tough. My much younger cousin just announced on FB that her and her bf (who was an awful human being according to her and her family a few months ago) are 6 weeks pregnant. She's also not healthy/doesn't exercise and I'm over here sorting through all my household cleaners to get more nontoxic, not drinking (like 2 years now), cutting out gluten, and tracking the heck out of my cycle and nothing for over a year and a half

@SoonToBeMommaHowe I hear ya on everyone getting pregnant without trying. DH's ex just hadon't another kid to another man and she already doesn't take care of his kid. She's trash in every way and I was ranting to my mom the one day saying here I am eating pineapple cores and drinking green tea and doing everything I can and there's all these damn people popping out kids they donto even want or take care of. It really just gets me.

@SoonToBeMommaHowe - yey! Here's hoping it is a BFP!

About 4 months ago, I went to have my nails done, and sitting next to me at the manicure booth this woman started talking to the manicurist about how she wanted to have a baby and was going to start trying. And I knew - knew! - it was petty and bitchy of me - but I looked at her, and I just thought: "You?" I didn't know anything about her - nothing - just how her hair and make-up were done, what her body was like, what clothes she was wearing, and that she's the kind of person who talks to a manicurist about her baby-making plans, and I was like: "but, I'm better."

Part of me is ashamed that I had that reaction. I was visiting a friend who'd moved to a less affluent state for work, and so much of my thoughts on what was "good" were based on, well, snobbery. And I don't believe only "good" people should have kids - like, I've read A Handmaid's Tale, and was as affected as anyone.

I guess now, I tell myself that being/living healthy and having a good marriage are their own rewards. Like, I don't exercise and try to be a decent person and eat healthy because I want a baby, I do those things for myself, and would do them even if we stopped TTC.

It is super unfair though. Like, what is her body doing that mine isn't? What's mine doing hers isn't? And how can I change? And no one can tell me.

That said, part of me thinks, like, having a child is really hard. It's so hard. It's not like it's some reward for good behavior - it's a whole life choice, requiring great energy, selflessness, kindness, effort. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to raise a child if you didn't have certain elements already in place. When I hear people talk about how "life-changing" having a child was - people who were hard drinkers or total messes before - I scoff. I'm pretty sure having a child won't be that life-changing for my DH and I, mostly because we are responsible adults already.

Hi all, I took a bit of a hiatus for a couple weeks. Anyway, I concur with all the sentiments about "oops" babies and rage. Also, my cousin just got engaged, so obviously I've already jumped ahead to the "if she gets KU before I do, it will send me over the edge." I'm not proud of myself.

AFM, AF is taking her sweet, sweet time coming, which is just really super. I'd love for her to show her ugly face, instead of just the cramping and spotting, so I can move on to cycle 23 and hopefully IUI#4 after the six month hiatus for DH to try clomid. I'm just excited to get back into it all.

Don't get me started on the oops babies and the baby mamas/baby daddies that have no business having babies.

Case in point. **TW** My cousin just moved back to the states with his wife. Who is of course 8 months preg. She was 6 months preg when they moved here. Both do not have jobs, both live with my aunt. My mother assures me that the wife will get a job as soon as the baby is born. Ok.... Oh, my cousin will not work unless it is "high paying." I'm sorry, his English isn't the best and has no skills. So if anyone knows of a job that pays $100k for someone with no skills please let me know. I get so bitter when people come to this country with no plan and live off the state.

I'm also bitter that I did the right thing. Secured a good job and waited for the right guy. Now look at me? Why does it seem like I did everything wrong?

Total tangent, but cousins with no jobs who don't want to work unless "high paying" always, always remind me of Uncle Eddie in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I am laughing just thinking about it. Hahaha. Not sure if you've seen? And if when you go to parties or whatever, you and your H exchange the same kind of looks that Clark and Ellen do?

ps. you definitely didn't do everything wrong. Don't let IF get you down! I hope you will feel much better after your appointment next Wednesday - I felt so much more in control after I started with our RE.

@funkykey hahaha I haven't seen the movie. I've only met the wife once. I told DH that they were just going to come to this country and procreate and mooch off the state. He gave me credit for calling it.

Thanks for the reassurance : ) Literally just had a mini melt down. I sure hope the RE has a good treatment plan. The nurse just called and they want me to take some Vitamin D supplements as it was slightly low.

I'm pretty sure AF will be here any moment.... how you ask? I had a full on meltdown complete with sobbing because my insurance won't cover a medication anymore. Now that I'm rational again it's not a big deal because it will only cost me $20 more out of pocket but it's the idea of it. Yay?

@SP128 I think this meme about sums up what you said and how I feel sometimes. Disclaimer: I highly believe (and I'm sure everyone else here does too) that people who do not finish high school are no less than anyone else. It does underline the point of what many of us are describing and how I myself feel that I did everything the way society believes is the best way to do things. I went to college, got a job, am in a reliable marriage, steady income etc, etc. Then there are those who seem to keep popping out babies, don't have a job, don't plan on having a job, etc.

@hoffmanr7 Agreed 100% My DH was like, remember all it took in high school was the backseat of a car and some Strawberry wine to get KU?

Since I'm venting. I'm also really mad at the health teacher in high school who said that all it takes is one time of unprotected sex!!! Calling his bs on that. Unless refer to the scenario about the strawberry wine.

I'm from a pretty small town and there were sooo many teen pregnancies, and after that just a bunch of really young/oops pregnancies. And a ton of those have now had more kids. A lot of them never left home (not necessarily their parents' house, just the general little bubble area), and I went to college and graduated and have lived away from home since and it's just like...really?!

**TW** Omg @SP128 your cousin story kind of reminded me of a patient I had a few weeks ago who was in her late 20s her and her bf live with her mom mooch off the state and neither have jobs have 3 kids already and she came in to the ED because she was bleeding and thats how she found out she was pregnant again (don't get me started on why she didn't just assume it was a period) and ended up getting admitted and miscarrying....pardon me for being a total bitch for minute but I was kinda glad because you don't need 4 kids when you don't even have your own place at almost 30 and neither of you work or want to (and she was the typical bitchy patient who was very entitled).
Also, **TW** @hoffmanr7 that last meme totally gets me......last October we found out a friend of mine'so brothers girlfriend was pregnant (with their 7th child combined between the two) and they couldn't keep it because social services was involved so we were gonna adopt it, I took her to her first appointment and when they did the ultrasound it was a term baby. She smokes 2 packs a day pops pain pills and they live in a trailet with my friend and her parents (13 people, the dogs, and 2 cats plus another LO on the way for my friends sister) and she ended up backing out on the adoption last minute after she had him 3 days after her first appointment because social services said the case from before is closed and now she has a case against her for sexual abuse of her bfs little boy..... /**TW**
Sorly for the rant everyone, I'm done. Lol
Edit: I don't wish a miscarriage on anyone because it's an awful thing to go through but the mindfuck of IF just got the better of me that day.

Hey everyone

I hope everyone is having a good week!

I had my first RE appointment this week - it went well, he just ordered a heap of tests. So in the last 4 days I have had a pap test, a whole heap of blood tests, and a HyCoSy (which I assume is similar to HSG?).
The HyCoSy was just earlier today and was horribly uncomfortable and painful

So I'm at home indulging in some ice cream now to make me feel better haha

But the positives - tubes are completely clear and open, and hubby's SA was great. So hopefully we will have some luck soon

QOTW: Secret celebrity crushes? Bonus points for pics.
My crushes tend to be more fictional than celebrity haha. Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peeta Mellark are just 3 of them :P
