Two nights ago i attempted to do my own brazilian wax . It hurt like a mother and I only got two strips done. I was going to quit but i really liked the end result so i am going to attempt to finish tonight that way I have tomorrow to recuperate.
I have to work all day today, but tomorrow I'm getting some maternity clothes and baby gates. My almost 2 year old niece is at our house often and we have stairs so"Nana" has offered to pay for a gate at our house and hers since it will benefit both grandkids!
I have today off and work tomorrow (store inventory boooooo) so I'm going to enjoy the beautiful weather today and take my two year old to the park. Maybe we will do a picnic.
I showed my husband the Nameberry website and he got stuck on if for like 30 minute before bed. It's addictive! And we still don't know what we're naming this kid.
This morning we skipped the BRU registry event to build four headboards for the rental units (and they look amaaaaaaaaaazing), unpack some new duvets, hang pictures and better blinds, and fold laundry. Other projects for this weekend include trips to Ikea, the frame shop, and the jeweler (my engagement ring is a touch tight), and getting passport photos done for SO. We're on track to have the most productive weekend in MONTHS.
I was productive this am with house stuff, until I went to pick a blanket up and my lower back had a spasm...now on couch with heat while my amazing DH is vacuuming and cleaning.
Last night there was an hr long manhunt for 2 carjacking suspects who abandoned the car and ran into the river by our place. Helicopters, cops, divers, boats, it was bright and loud. Caught the guys but the whole neighborhood was going til almost 2am.
TW: 1 infant loss 8/17: Our daughter was born 8/18: Our daughter kicked open heart surgery ass 2/19: We lost our son to Prader-Willi/Paradoxical Vocal Cord/ Noonans at 6wks old 4/26/2020: EDD for baby #3!!!
I read a book by the pool (got to love Texas weather). Going to the pool was comical. I have no suits that fit, kept having to get up and go pee every 20 minutes, and literally got burned with spf 100
Random Q... are we allowed to take baths? I remember reading on Dr. Google that it wasn't recommend during the 1st trimester, but wasn't sure about now.... my RLP is out of control and a hot bath with the Piano Guys cd playing sounds like heaven on earth.
@kristenk727 I don't think we're supposed to take a hot bath or shower for extended enough time as to raise the body temperature, so not for a satisfyingly relaxing amount of time. Heat packs aren't ruled out, though. If you don't have one, put rice in a sock and microwave it for 1 min.
@kristenk727 I'd always confirm with your own doc/midwife but I've been taking baths my whole 2nd tri. Just make sure the water isn't *hot* (they say keeping it around 98.6 but I don't have a thermometer lol). Epsom salt baths have been amazing for me.
@kristenk727 I took baths throughout my entire last pregnancy. I actually found it helped with pain and swelling. (I went to 41 weeks) I also did it because my LO seemed to move a lot when I was in water. Anyways, as long as it isn't "hot", you are okay!
I have taken baths both pregnancies the whole time. My doctor is fine with it. Hot tubs are much more dangerous as they hold the water at a hot temp and much easier to overheat. Baths at home generally cool off a lot faster. I'm careful not to get overheated too but I would not survive without my baths!
I just took a bath with my favorite Lush bath bomb! Heavenly! I keep ice water next to me to drink because I need the water toasty warm. Just don't overdo it!
I just took a bath with my new frangrant jewel bath bomb. I didnt make the water as hot as I usually do and kept a glass of ice water like @Vamason89 said. But i still felt too warm and was sweating so as soon as I got the ring I got out. Lol. But I took baths the entire time with DD. I had severe back and leg pain and that seemed to help more than anything
Taught a barre class yesterday and I am more sore than I've been in a long time. I didn't even do everything full out!
I complained a few weeks ago about my MIL buying stuff for me without me asking and feeling overwhelmed... Well the carrier that she bought me came and it's AWESOME! I love it so much and can't wait to use it. Eating my words today, for sure!
MH and I spend a lot of our evenings watching Inpractical Jokers. I have t make sure I've peed before every episode because it makes me laugh so hard every time!

Other than that nothing fun
