I am going to strangle the cute 70 year old couple that are our new landlords. He said a month ago that we could move in on the 25th. He knew that was the plan. We talked several times always telling him that that was the plan. And then on the 25th as we are moving in they still can't comprehend that we are really moving in for good. So, everything was supposed to be done before the 25th (Saturday). Today is Monday. I am freaking kicked out of my (still unpacked) house because they are now painting. Oh, and good new. They aren't even going to f****** finish today. I mean, I'm not even sure what to do. I sort of hate them more than anyone else in the entire universe and want them to die a couple of slow and painful deaths. So, there is my happy thought for the day.

Oh, and I should add that we cleaned everything they were supposed to clean as well. So, that would have taken days extra. It's like if DH was a landlord. He has the worst concept of time in the world. Please, learn how to be an adult everyone before you are 70.

@mrsstuessy Are you guys paying the pro-rated portion of rent for March 25-March 31? I'm sure its not much, but can you ask for that to be waived since you are having to deal with the inconvenience of not actually being able to move in, unpack, etc. Plus, you had to clean...which isn't your job....
@mrsstuessy that sucks. I hope you can get settled ASAP.
My random is that I only have 15 more work days left (maybe less if he comes early...I am hoping less because one of those days is my due date). I was pretty excited about that when I decided to count days this morning.
I shared this once already, but the nurses gave me a bag to take home to prepare for my c section. The included a "carbohydrate drink" they want me to drink, which was Apple juice. Score .... until I realized it was EXPIRED. It's probably fine but I'd rather not drink it - I hate expired stuff. Plus I feel like boxed Apple juice stays good forever, so the fact it's expired must mean its REALLY old.
@carpediem55 I am also really weird about dates... I would totally go get my own new apple juice. Yuck. But now I totally want apple juice
My random is that today my bump looks and feels noticably smaller. My friend even commented on it. It doesn't look lower or like the baby dropped... but it is tight all over, and my skin feels really tight. Not sure what that's about.
Speaking of expiration dates, I think my pads from my last pregnancy expired! I was planning to use them postpartum this go-round. I ran out of panty liners this weekend, and got a pad out, and the sticky backing didn't stick anymore.
@shaunessa me neither! I'm sure they will still absorb, but they don't stick anymore. It's probably stupid Ohio weather- super humid summers and dry winters.
My family is getting impatient and annoyed that I haven't had this baby yet. When I point out that I'm not even 39 weeks yet (until tomorrow) they say "ugh it feels like you've been pregnant for 3 years just make him come out"... i might fight them all.
@McFarKane omg I would fight them too. Why do people even say things like that?
I told DH about how my BH have ramped up to constant and all day, and basically anytime I go from sitting to standing. Now he asks me several times a day if I've gone into labor yet. I keep reminding him we've got a few weeks yet, but it's also been nice--he's not let me bring the laundry up from downstairs. He's going to pick up the groceries after work today. He gave the dog a bath. He emptied the dishwasher yesterday. All the things I usually do. It's been nice! Now the question is, will he continue for the rest of the pregnancy and during paternity leave, or will he get tired of it? Lol.
My DH has been completely on board with doing the laundry, grocery shopping, cat litter, etc. BUT he also knows the Dr. advises 6 weeks for complete recovery (c-section), so I know after those 6 weeks, its back to me doing everything. He's a man-baby sometimes!
This is totally random... but if one more random passerby comments "Congrats!" on the birth annoucement discussion I might have some pregnancy rage show up. Haha! But seriously... how hard is it to read? Sigh....
@M&Max especially when someone already re-commented the "Please don't comment on this thread unless it is your birth announcement" sentence!! HAHAHA!!
I go to the OB tomorrow and I'm really hoping she tells me I've started to dilate so they can induce me on Friday. That way I can tell my boss I have alot to do to get ready and can start my leave on Thursday. I just really don't wanna go to work anymore. I know that sounds terrible but I'm so sick of being pregnant and even sicker of dealing with bank bs. I'm terrified of a balloon induction but I think it would be preferable to one more day of work at this point.
Y'all. Give me a freaking medal or something, because I successfully shaved my hoo-hah with NO MIRROR and NO ASSISTANCE from DH. I feel like a dang ninja or something.
@SnarkasaurusRex so proud!!! Medal has been earned for sure. I've been doing it weekly since the beginnning with no mirror or assistance as well. My thought process was that if DH can shave his face in the shower with no mirror, I can shave down there with no mirror as well. I was very determined. And no cuts yet! I feel very accomplished each week lol. You are definitely a ninja in my book ... hahaha! Great job
@SnarkasaurusRex and @carpediem55 Great job ladies....This may qualify for the TMI post, but I haven't shaved in......a long time. A really long time. I have to take my pants off at my appointment next Tuesday, so I'm going to have DH go to town on it this weekend
@KirstinH88 The only reason I did (because I usually just trim and call it a day) was because my OB reminded me at my appointment this week that they would have to shave me before my RCS...and I was like...eeehhh let me get a leg up on that one so there's no poor nurse that has to deal with that mess.
Ok... so even the lady at the dry cleaners is tracking my pregnancy... I went to drop off some items today and she said "you're still with us?!" in a shocked voice. Um, yes. I'm pregnant, not dying. Also, my due date is still a week away, so it's not abnormal to still be pregnant, thanks though.
For those of you not following along, DH has been unemployed for almost 3 months now. He carried our insurance through his job, but after he was let go, we switched to my job. My insurance hasn't been a problem. The problem is that even though our coverage (through my job) started on Feb 1, my employer hasn't taken ANY money out of my checks for it. I'm now almost to labor, which means maternity leave, which means no checks from my employer, which means an even longer delay in having my health insurance deducted out of my check. By the time I return to work, I'm looking at about 7 months of monthly insurance charges having to be deducted. Most likely 1/2 to 1/3 of my paycheck.
@KirstinH88 ugh that's so awful! Feel for you girl. I would be pretty upset too, makes it even worse with your situation. So sorry! I'm assuming you've checked with them about it right?
I have checked into it and basically the answer that I get is that my employer is just SLOW at making the changes to their payroll. It doesn't surprise me. Honestly, everything about working for my employer is slow. Its ridiculous, but I guess it is what it is and although I haven't technically paid the premiums, I'm glad I have health coverage. Its just going to be a pain in the ass when they decide to take everything at once....
@KirstinH88 I had a very similar issue! Mine didn't start taking my HSA contribution for the year from my paycheck until last pay period. That's almost $500 I don't have in my tax free account yet towards my delivery/hospital costs I'll get it pulled out later, but still.
We had a team meeting today at work and as I was talking about something, I said that tomorrow was my last day. I guess I hadn't been clear about that with my coworkers (though my boss knew)--that I was going on leave tomorrow regardless of when I delivered--but then one of them asked me if I was being induced, which I thought was a totally invasive question. I wasn't planning on telling them that, but I wasn't sure what else to do so I told them. I like my colleagues a lot, but I have only told one of my FRIENDS about the induction...

I know that at this point we all probably feel this way but I'm done. I'm so far passed miserable that I just don't even want to function. I plan to work up until she is here but the thought of having to roll my turtle ass out of bed tomorrow makes me ragey.
ETA this here question.... would it be passed or past? ^^^ I get angry at the misuse of their, there, and they're...and the like but I struggle with the passed/past one...idk why? Lol
@taylor72 I majored in English (and philosophy, but whatever), and you boggled my mind because I do not remember the rule on that. I THINK it's "I've passed," and "I'm past." Like "passed" is the verb and "past" is the noun or adjective. So since "am" is your verb I think "past" would be correct. But if you were saying "I've passed the point of miserable" "passed" would be your verb.
I've found a somewhat decent way for me to get out of bed. I kick my feet at the bed until I am pushed far enough over that my legs and feet are now hanging off the bed. And then I simultaneously tuck and roll to finish the process of getting out of bed.
