***not all MLMs! you know the shady ones when you see them***
One time I was at a Panera and there was an 18 year old woman next to me, mama to a little toddler, and this woman showed up and tried to get this girl to sign up to sell some kind of umbrella insurance through this company. I was on my laptop and googled it (they were sitting right next to me!) and found that it was a really shady MLM company that basically made new sellers pay like $1000 to get certified or trained or whatever and then they were instructed to hit up their family members to buy policies and then basically do anything possible to convert them to sellers where they would then get a cut of the $1000. It was like 5 pages of negative results on google and I was just sitting there as this young woman was buying in and talking about how she didn't make very much at her minimum wage job and it would really help to bring in some more money. After the meeting ended and the young woman left I actually went out and stopped her in the parking lot and told her I'd googled it while they were talking and it seemed shady, so she might want to look into it. It was totally uncharacteristic of me because I hate talking to strangers and would normally not accost someone in a parking lot(!!!). But I just really hate how most of these shady MLMs prey on young, low-income mothers.

Mini update! I cancelled on her today. Gave her some made up shit about my current contract having a "noncompete and exclusivity clause that names my employer as my sole source of income" (can you tell I'm a writer? lol) She bought it, but still tried to see if DH was "interested in some extra income working only a few hours a week." I kept firm and she was really sweet about it. And all without getting out of my sweats today
I'm loving hearing all your MLM/pyramid scheme/creepy meeting stories!
@LoveInDC that's so shady! I thought I only had to avoid old acquaintances on Facebook from trying to sell me things, now I need to avoid people complimenting my shoes!

Hi. My name is mschanandlerbong and I work in MLM lol! For real though, there's the real deal and the scam. Leggings aren't a scam. They're amazing and comfy and buttery. Not that I'm trying to sell y'all anything. Just saying lmao
I hope I can post this here. I've been trying to find an appropriate place. I have just started trying again this past month and I've never used OPKs or BBT before. I just bought everything today but I wanted to know if there was info on this from anyone who's used them before. I've read the newbie guide. I wanted to just track my cycle for a couple months first but I'm still irregular from getting AF for the first time in two years in December. My last cycle was 63 days and this one is currently on day 38 with no AF in sight. I'm really looking forward to participating in this group but since I am nowhere near educated on my current status, I don't know where to start.
@BreezyBee I haven't seen it yet! I will watch and report back
@jlemons-2 There aren't extremely firm lines between threads, but questions like yours typically appear in the Chart Stalk and Questions weekly thread. Randoms threads are typically reserved for topics outside of TTC. To answer your question though, it sounds like you were on birth control for a while? Your body will take time to regulate after extended use of hormonal birth control. As far as how to temp and use OPKs, BBTs and OPKs typically come with basic instructions. For more information, we all recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility (TCOYF) for all the basics when tracking your cycle.
Thanks @LoveInDC for this info. I wasn't on birth control, TW(I think?) I was pregnant/Breastfeeding. I will post in that other thread next time! And I will download the book.
@Jlemons-2 - The TWW and WTO posts are also good places to ask questions, especially if they are something related to those time periods of TTGP. Welcome!

Anyone else see someone's picture on here and can't really tell what it is or think, "That's weird to have as your picture" and then click on it and it's something completely different from what you thought based on the tiny thumbnail?
