Appointments this week? Yep, leaving work in about 10 minutes for mine!
Symptoms? Pretty much the same as everyone else at this point I think. Going back and forth between constipation and needing to go multiple times/day. BH, insomnia, slow, swollen.
Rant/Rave/Questions? It's my birthday today!! Big 32! Pregnantest birthday ever!
GTKY(totally borrowed): Are you feeling ready? (mentally, physically, etc) Probably not, but bring it on anyways.
Just had my weekly appointment today. She did a check and I'm 3cm dilated (was 1cm last week). She also did a membrane sweep. She said baby was low and engaged so that's a good sign I hope. Having cramps now so we'll see if anything happens.
Symptoms?
Crampy. Groin pain is back, baby is very low so feels like a bowling ball and I have to go pee a lot.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
I think I'm starting to be ready for pregnancy to be finished. I've had a good run, but I'm ready to meet my little man. Rant: I am getting called/texted by friends and family everyday asking about baby... I wish they would just leave me alone.
GTKY(totally borrowed): Are you feeling ready? (mentally, physically, etc) I am as ready as I'm going to be. Obviously as a FTM there are limits to my readiness. But mentally and now physically I am ready for pregnancy to be over. edited as I put in too many woots

How far along are you? 39 weeks - NEXT WEEK is APRIL and my due date...what???
How big is baby? Pumpkin according to app, watermelon according to ticker - how about we just say "huge"
Appointments this week? Just had one this morning. BP and swelling were much better today and I just have to keep an eye that my headaches don't get worse/more frequent but other than that doing well. She offered to sweep my membranes but I was barely a 1 so opted to wait one more week to see what happens. She said baby girls head is even lower since Friday when I was there last so that's good. I'm pretty much the same way as I was with DS so I am guessing i'll make it to my next appointment. Oh well
Symptoms? Peeing all the time and super irritable. Some lower back pain and cervix head butts at night especially!
Rant/Rave/Questions? I am OVER the comments "You are STILL pregnant?" "When is that baby coming?" "You must be miserable!" Done. Over. Finished. Probably isn't helping my "super irritable" symptom...
If we have a WTF Wednesday or whatever thread I will post more about this there haha.
GTKY(totally borrowed): Are you feeling ready? (mentally, physically, etc) I am for the most part I think. Physically I know it's just a part of the end of pregnancy to be uncomfortable and it won't last forever and trying to remember things like even when I'm annoyed at getting up to pee in the middle of the night, hey at least I can go right back to bed right now. Mentally, I am back and forth. Ready to see DS as a big brother, sad to have him not be my only "focus," ready to meet baby girl, not ready to share her etc etc. Over the stupid pregnancy comments...see above
Symptoms?Everything hurts and it seems like that delightful burst of energy I had has disappeared because I've been exhausted the last two days.
Rant/Rave/Questions? My house is done! My house is done! After living here for 2 1/2 years it really feels like a real home that's not half done with projects. There is obviously stuff that still needs work but a majority of the house is visually completed and it's such a relief!!
GTKY(totally borrowed): Are you feeling ready? (mentally, physically, etc) I feel okay with the baby coming now that the house is "done". I am very affected by my physical space so it was really important to me to get the house looking its best before Babe came. Now that it's looking as good as it's going to get, it's okay for Babe to come.
How far along are you? 38 weeks...one week 'til RCS!
How big is baby? A bucket of fried chicken (or a winter melon).
Appointments this week? Had my regular OB checkup on Monday. Still at 1 cm, but cervix has come forward and softened a bit...trying ALL OF THE THINGS for induction to see if we can get this girl moving...time's ticking away for my VBAC!
Symptoms? I've been all over the place this week. Lots of inconsistent contractions and lots of body aches...I couldn't sleep last night because I was just sore, so I wound up taking a bath at 2:00 AM to try and relax. I also have a really sharp pain in the middle of my bump whenever I cough or sneeze that is most likely caused by my abdominals splitting apart...cool.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Rave: After talking it over with DH, we decided that I should start my maternity leave early! I was supposed to finish out this week, but yesterday was my last day. I was just feeling super overwhelmed with everything going on at work and with trying to get things moving to hopefully have my VBAC and with trying to get everything at the house ready that we both agreed it would be worth the couple of days with no pay for my sanity...and I already feel like a brand new human! I finished the nursery this morning, reorganized the kid's bathroom, and cleaned DS's room. Once I finish eating this pineapple I'm going to work on getting our room tidied up and vacuumed as well. Rant: A lot of people in my family are being super judgey about the fact that I want a VBAC. My mom keeps saying things like, "she won't have a nice round head like DS did if you don't do the csection!" like that matters? To be honest I am okay with however she comes out, but I would much rather have the VBAC to make the transition easier for DS (and the shorter recovery time for me). I just don't get why so many people are being so negative and trying to make me feel bad for wanting her to come the natural way.
GTKY(totally borrowed): Are you feeling ready? (mentally, physically, etc) I am ready to meet her. I'm ready to see DS be a big brother (goodness I hope he likes her). I'm ready for us to adjust to our new normal as a family of four. The nursery is prepped, I've got 8 freezer meals stocked up, the car seats are ready to go, and my bags are packed. Buuut the rest of my house is still a mess and I have some final sub plans to complete and I need to finish my grades for this marking period. I think once I get that taken care of I will be good to go.
@SnarkasaurusRex I'm so excited for you that your leave has started early! I'm wishing I'd put my last day much sooner myself. I'd love to be as productive as you've been. Haha. Also I hate that people are judging you for vbac. I hope you get it and can show them all. Even if there's a pointy head.
@snarkasaurusrex my SIL had a c section and my nephew came out with the pointiest head I had ever seen! After a few days his head rounded out perfectly. I hope you get your VBAC and that people leave you alone about it.
Thanks everyone for birthday wishes! It's been a good day.
@doozenberg Sending you the baby vibes!! Keep us posted! @Omie_Wise I agree with getting the house ready - I've made a lot of progress in the last two weekends towards that and it's made a huge difference. We don't have a nursery because we're in a tiny apartment but setting up her "corner" with changing station, pack n play, clothes, etc. has made all the difference mentally for me. @SnarkasaurusRex I am crossing all my fingers that you get the VBAC you're hoping for!!
Symptoms? Contractions that I feel in my legs, hips, butt, stomach and back every 3 mins for 12 hours now.
Rant/Rave/Questions? As nice as the nurses have been after 2 hospital trips, their advice feels less than helpful. They said to come back when the contractions have you bent over in pain and are 3 mins apart. I had my "bloody show" around 4am and then around 8 my contractions were stopping me in my tracks. Still only dilated 2cm. Now they're saying ignore the timing of them and come back when I can't breathe or talk through the pain. I'm not in a rush for him to come out I just am concerned about knowing when it's "time" now.
GTKY(totally borrowed): Are you feeling ready? (mentally, physically, etc) In some ways yes, but now having to say bye to my daughter twice makes me realize that I might be a little more nervous and almost guilty about having another baby. She gives me and my stomach a kiss goodbye anytime I leave for anything and is excited about him in my belly. Not sure the excitement will be at the same level when hes on the outside taking the majority of my attention for a little.
@KirstinH88 thanks! Can you let me know if I actually sent a message back? Haha my brain is struggling and I think I may have hit back instead of sending a message.
@McFarKane, keep us updated! I agree the nurse's advice doesn't seem that helpful. As for me I don't think the membrane sweep will kick start things. I did have some cramping after and more mucous discharge. But the cramps are mostly gone now. Oh well, maybe something this weekend!

Thanks for all of the positive VBAC vibes, you guys! I keep having a lot of inconsistent contractions so I really just hope that SOMETHING is happening in there and she'll get a move on before next Tuesday.

@doozenberg How exciting that your body is progressing. Hopefully the membrane sweep throws you into labor!
