Fun solution for nausea

So I've been having really bad nausea and loss of appetite lately. Like only eating ritz crackers for days hahah. My doctor mentioned that sour things and gummies can help so I've been alternating sour patch kids(more sour) and sour gummy worms(more chewy/gummy) and it actually helping more than i thought!
Just thought I'd share since it's n excuse to buy some candy! Hahah

Re: Fun solution for nausea

  • @samsterrr Good to know! It would be great if you could post tips like this in the symptoms thread so that more ladies who are suffering would see it.

  • Preggie pops helped me alot with my first pregnancy.Luckly still have a ton left over from her; comes with flavors like lemon sour apple sour raspberry tangerine or like orange I also bought ginger chews which I have never actually opened and tried. If you didn't do candy route vitamin B6 is also suppose to help. Last time I also would sip orange juice while at work in the mornings and that helped. Definitely saltines. This time around I'm not actually throwing up but definitely feel crappy and sick all day everyday.
  • I have had occasional waves of nausea and a general loss of appetite so far. I have been sucking on peppermint candies and chewing on mint gum, both seem to help in general. Will see what happens in the coming weeks.
  • With DD I lived on Sour Punch Straws to curb nausea. This is a great tip!
  • I'll second the tip on preggie pops. A friend for them for me and they are pretty awesome - except the packaging doesn't make it very discrete when you're trying to hide it from others!

  • The preggie pops are pretty delicious but they're pricey and their ingredients are nothing special so I'll probably switch to sour candy once my tin is out. Or just cranberry juice if I'm feeling healthy.

  • Sounds like a fun idea to try. Right now what's working for me is sucking on a lemon.
  • A friend brought back a lollipop for me from her vaca to PR, apparently its a very traditional candy there and they have sesame seeds in them. It instantly got rid of my nausea. Don't know if it was coincidental but now im on the hunt for more!
  • I lived on sour patch watermelons during my last pregnancy. This time it's hot sauce!!

  • I've had one pregnancy full of phish food ice cream and one with dunkin blueberry cake donuts, but its hot sauce for me this time too @QTAMum3 !!
  • @ugoglencoco my first was all sweets all the time, eventhough they made me sick. The 2nd & 3rd pregnancies were based around wasabi. Hot sauce this time...but I could go for some wasabi too haha. I wish this type of craving gave me an inkling of the sex but alas I liked spicy crap with a boy and a girl.
