Re: Monday Ticker Change 3.27.17
How big is baby? Coconut, or hopefully over 3 pounds!
Any appointments this week? Nope
Symptoms? I get this weird, sharp pain in my breast. I'm going to call about it today to see if it should be checked out.
Rants/Raves/Questions? DH and I had an incredible date day yesterday that made us feel really close to each other.
What's your progress or plans for your baby to do list? I didn't do much baby stuff last week. I think I'll wait until we officially close on our new house before I make our will. Aside from that, just waiting to move and waiting for my shower.
GTKY: What goes into the naming process for you and your SO? Books, online, family trees? Took this from the weekend ticker. We came up with a girl's name after going back and forth during multiple long car rides, but we were never able to agree on a boy's name. Of course, we're having a boy. We sat down with a list of the top 1,000 names from 2015 and the top 1,000 from 1955 and highlighted the names we liked. Then we compared them and came up with 6 that we could agree on. Then eventually, we narrowed down that list to 1. I never thought it would be so hard! Middle names are after family.

How big is baby? butternut squash
Any appointments this week? Yup, tomorrow - just regular checkup
Symptoms? Started having menstrual like cramps mid-week last week. They don't hurt too bad, just a new symptom for me. I will be talking to my doctor about it tomorrow.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My baby showers are next week and I couldn't be more excited!!
What's your progress or plans for your baby to do list? Going pretty well, my DH finished building the shelves and we mounted the baby monitor and all the decorations we had already purchased. Now we are waiting on the baby showers to see what else we need to get to have everything.
GTKY: What goes into the naming process for you and your SO? Books, online, family trees? Middle names are family names, and as far as first names, we used a few lists to get us narrowed down. We are team green so for now we have top 3 names we like for each gender and are just waiting to meet our little one until we make a decision.
Tomorrow I have 3 appointments: ultrasound with MFM, GD appt, and then usual check up.
Symptoms: still struggling to get a decent nights sleep due to crazy sciatic pain and weird dreams
RRQ: After our morning of appointments tomorrow DH and I are having a secret date day. We haven't told anyone that neither of us are going in to work after the appointments and plan to have lunch and go to the movies before picking DD up for the day. So excited!
Baby To Do List: My actual progress is at a standstill. Our nursery was still pretty much set up from DD and gender neutral. My FIL took our changing table to re-glue the joints and make it a bit more secure. I also ordered a ton of the odds and ends we need last week so I'm expecting lots of boxes delivered shortly.
Names: I don't know that we will ever agree on a name. It was so simple with DD, but this time we are struggling.
How big is baby? a pineapple (18in/5lbs)
Any appointments this week? next week! then I start weekly
Symptoms? random swelling and aches have increased. I told my husband last night I'm starting a just feel miserable. I'm so sorry and empathetic for those that are this way the whole time. hugs to all!
Rants/Raves/Questions?
I'm in a phase where I'm ready t be done already, but at the same time I want these 5 weeks to go really really slow!
What's your progress or plans for your baby to do list?
hubby cleaned the downstairs! boxes are hidden in closets due to his grandparents coming for dinner last night but... it looks better so now I can just do our room (we get to share with little). otherwise I need to start a hospital bag and all the "extra" stuff.
GTKY: What goes into the naming process for you and your SO? Books, online, family trees?
I like using family names, but prefer them for a middle name. We've used a book, online, family and friends input. We agreed on one then I decided it didn't work with the other 2 kids we have. Hubs is thrilled about this hahaha
How big is baby? A plastic scooter board!
Any appointments this week? I start my twice weekly NSTs. So far I only have daycare for tomorrow, so I may only be going once this week.
Symptoms? I'm exhausted. And I have to pee every 3.5 seconds it feels like.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My eczema has broken out recently and I can't use the steroid cream from my dermatologist sinces it's a category C, so I'm just annoyed and itchy!
What's your progress or plans for your baby to do list? I used my in store completion coupon for Targer to get curtains, hangers, a rug, and some pajamas for baby. I'll order the rest of my stuff this week online! I'm pretty much just piling stuff up in the room until DH gets home (hopefully soon!) and can help hang the shelves!

DD1 was easy. She is Halle which is after my grandpa Hal. Her middle name is the same as mine.
DD2 was a little harder, but we just went through names that weren't in the top 100. I also wanted something that couldn't be shortened to a nickname. Her middle name is my moms middle name.
This boy is proving to be much more difficult! We always knew his middle name would be Tyler like my husbands but it was agreeing on a first name that is difficult. We wanted something slightly traditional, but not super common. It had to be short so my MIL couldn't shorten it to a dumb nickname. We've had it narrowed down to Ryan and Levi for awhile but I'm 99% sure we are going with Levi.

Celery??
Ultrasound wednesday.
We used a book and the internet to decide on our names... We had a very hard time and talked and talked and talked about names. I loved a ton so ultimately we just had to find two from my huge list that dh also liked. We like simple midle names so that part was easy.

Edit: I did just look up the drug facts and it does say to talk to your doctor if you are planning or have become pregnant because they are unsure of any side effects and they also don't know if it'll show up in breast milk. Maybe because I use it so infrequently my doctor isn't concerned?
How big is baby? The size of 3 chocolate croissants!
Any appointments this week? Nada, only the Chiropractor.
Symptoms? Just sore
Rants/Raves/Questions? I caught a stomach bug on Saturday! It was not fun! My nurse always lectures about dehydration and preterm labor so that made me super anxious.
What's your progress or plans for your baby to do list? I'm on spring break so we are doing some organizing and I order curtains.
GTKY: What goes into the naming process for you and your SO? Books, online, family trees? This is the most difficult thing ever! We can't do a family name without pissing off a family, so we are trying just to find names we like.
How big is baby? Pineapple
Any appointments this week? I had a quick visit yesterday to check fundal height and hb. We are now onto weekly appointments!
Symptoms? So constipated! If I don't run or walk I don't poop, even with probiotics and fiber gummies. This just started in the last week-ish. I'm still sleeping fine but get insomnia which is annoying. SPD and hip pain is getting a bit worse.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Went in for my car seat check and the technician seemed impressed that all 3 car seats were installed correctly. Made me feel good to know that my kids are safe!
What's your progress or plans for your baby to do list? Got a lot done this past week which is great because I'm not nearly as motivated this week. My mom was here and helped so much! We cleaned our van really well, moved car seats around and installed infant car seat, cleaned/washed all baby gear that was in storage, finally registered at Target and PBK for the completion coupons, got gifts from baby to the older siblings, and got all pictures uploaded to Shutterfly to order prints for baby books. Also got some deep cleaning/decluttering done that I wanted to get done before baby comes.
DH keeps insisting that this baby is coming early (for no reason mind you) but he's making me nervous so now I want to have everything done by the time I'm 38 weeks (in 3 weeks!) just to be safe. The 2 most important things to do this week are order prints for baby books and pack my hospital bag.
GTKY: What goes into the naming process for you and your SO? Books, online, family trees? I am a bit of a name nazi. I am super picky and there are honestly very few names that I would ever consider giving my kids so liking a name is not good enough for me. I really have to love it to even consider it and there are not a lot of names that I love. Because of that, I only consider family names that I absolutely love so our kids are not really named after anyone. It doesn't help that DH and I have very different tastes in names so it takes forever to agree on a name. We avoid top 20 names but will usually look through the top 200 lists and make a list of names we each like. Lucky for me, this time around DH didn't care to make a list so we just went off the one that I made. Scratched off any he didn't like and kept narrowing it down over several days. Once we narrowed it down to 2 names, it took us a couple of weeks of mulling over the 2 names to decide on one. We even asked DS which of the 2 names he liked best and he picked the ones we were thinking of so it was a much easier process this time around.

Our SUV has captains seats in the second row so their isn't even a middle seat option, so DD1 has to go to the back row. I'm thinking of taking her to the story to get a basket of books/coloring things to keep in the back seat so she doesn't feel so "pushed to the back"

I love the idea of getting her something to have in the back with her to make it appealing/special. I would also suggest moving her to the back at least a couple of weeks before baby comes so that she doesn't feel as pushed to the back. I think the biggest downfall for her will be not being able to see baby up close but if she is already used to being in the back, it might not be such a big deal. At least I can tell you that DS loved having the back to himself but obviously we weren't moving a baby to the 2nd row at that point.
