Wtf! Wild turkeys just attacked my car! My parents have been telling me about the aggressive turkeys that gather in their yard every morning, but I had never seen them in action. I dropped the kids off this morning and there they were, blocking the road and holding up traffic. I tried slowly rolling up to them so I could attempt to get in the driveway, and the friggin' things puffed right up at attacked the car! I rolled down the window to yell at them and one of them popped his head right up like he was going to jump in. Assholes!
A town cop lives down the street from my parents and happened to be driving by, and she tried to block the turkeys with her car while I jumped out with the kids. It was just SUCH A WEIRD morning!
@kmalls LMAO I'm sorry but that's hilarious . Hopefully you are laughing about it now but if not I hope your day gets better.
Ok so I posted this in TWW but I started drinking RRL at the beginning of this cycle and I definitely think it's working! That or it's just a coincidence my LP is now on 12DPO when it's normally only 10 days. Not to mention my spotting just started last night when it normally starts on 9DPO and it's super duper light. I think I'm a believer... drink all the tea.
@kmalls LOL I've actually had a similar thing happen with geese (although I'd expect it from them, not turkeys!). I was pulling up to a stop sign, and as I was stopping the car, a goose flapped its wings up and threw itself at my car then bounced off! It was one of those "OMG, did it really just attack my car? moments". Thankfully I didn't need to get out of the car! Glad the cop was trying to help you and the kids out.
@kmalls Okay that would be TERRIFYING in the moment but so funny to think back on later! Haha.
Umm...I missed the whole, "I had my IUD removed and I think I'm ovulating or pregnant" nonsense thread until this morning. It's closed...but they didn't remove the pee pictures. Why didn't they remove the pee pictures?!
@MJDsquared I also think she's a super catfish/troll. Look at her activity for the past two years. She's been trying for two years but only just had her IUD removed?! My favorite is this from 2015. "So we just tried and maybe an hour or so later I went to the gym to do weights and forgot myself and did this sit up machine. Would that movement push any speem the opposite direction ? Not even sure if I make sense but I keep thinking about it and it's making me so nervous"

@haylsbayls omg that post from 2015 is TOO MUCH. I don't understand what people get out of occasionally trolling a forum for two years. Do they not realize we can see their post history?
"So we just tried and maybe an hour or so later I went to the gym to do weights and forgot myself and did this sit up machine. Would that movement push any speem the opposite direction ? Not even sure if I make sense but I keep thinking about it and it's making me so nervous"
Not sure if that was a typo on her end, or a word I've never heard before, but I think it's hilarious.
This week is going to be super slow at my office because it's Spring Break. I'm working on my online classes to finally get my RE License, and am hoping to start reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

Guys. I just had my IUD removed 2 hours ago. I'm not sure if I should take a HPT or OPK. Help!
Obviously jk but seriously I did just have it removed. My drs advice "start your prenatal vitamins, taking your bbt and charting. Call if you need any help and good luck!" I'm so pumped to actually start trying but I'm not about to start the OPKs right now lol
I am using the Ovia app and some of the questions people post on there are the most random things you will ever read, if someone posts they are pregnant people ask for tips on how to get pregnant, it's so weird

@morado23 Good for you if you still go to the gym without your Fitbit. I don't like even walking without it on. I do step challenges every week with my friends so if I can't log my steps why bother taking them!
The band on my Fit bit broke off!! I feel so weird not wearing it and of course I took two walks and did the elliptical yesterday and I didn't have it on. I have to see if I can superglue it back together or something.

@AlohaKumu I guess it's more of a poultry question in general. If I leave the skin on (which the recipe calls for), won't the skin turn out mushy? I feel like crispy skin is impossible in an IP.

Ahhhhhhh I just scheduled an appointment with an RE for April 25th! Obviously part of me is very excited as you can tell, but part of me is really nervous and sad. And the very small irrational SS part of me is like, "Maybe I'll get pregnant this cycle and get to cancel my appointment and unicorns are real!"
I struggled trying to choose between the three in my area, but after contacting the three (and not even hearing back from one...rude) it became obvious which one to choose! And the lady I spoke to was really nice, so that was good.
Yay! I'm glad you found an RE that seems to be a good fit for you, @MJDsquared! I'll still hold out hope for your unicorn, too

Because I don't talk about lube irl... so I was looking for a cheaper, sperm-friendly option which was more like normal lube and not needing an applicator. I ended up going with Conceive Plus (which I love if anyone wants a rec) but first I was checking out the reviews on Amazon to try and see what people thought. Turns out 99% of the reviews are almost entirely based on whether or not the got KU right away. Thankfully I found a couple people who who were just reviewing it's capabilities as a lube and not a magic KU wand. smh

Even better, the woman who is in charge of early childhood centers in my district asked for my résumé, so it looks like I will be out of my school and on to bigger and better things next year.
And I just did 45 minutes at the gym, and have a girl date to see 'Beauty and the Beast' tomorrow. And I finished all my lesson plans for tomorrow so I'm going to go home, eat dinner, and start working on my Star Wars burlesque number.
