The 18mo I babysit is most definitely a TW today as well. He has thrown his breakfast at the dogs and then his bowl at the TV. He's currently rolling on the floor screaming because I dared put him in timeout for hitting my 2yo with a Hot Wheels car. I'm done. This isn't even a day I'm supposed to have him.
@BayCamp you need to tell them you quit! They're awful!
I'm working on my exit strategy now. I need to find a way to work one more shift at my actual job a week to make up the money.
Yesterday when she picked him him up I said "see you Wednesday" she replied "oh, did I not message you? It'll be tomorrow instead of Friday this week" and then at 10pm last night asked if he could get here an hour and a half early. I'm over it. Just trying to line up a sitter for myself so I can work more.
Ugh mine is my officemate who came to work sick -- hacking cough and complaining about how her daughter had a fever all weekend. I overheard her say on the phone, "I hope I don't get anyone else sick." Then don't come to work! We are a pretty work from home friendly organization. If you are sick stay home. I don't want to catch it ever but especially now!
Me. Or DH. One of us forgot to put gas in the car and on my way to the gas station I ran out of gas. I am currently waiting on my mom to rescue me. I feel like an idiot on the side of the road right now.
My TW is my body. Every morning without fail a have a little bit of spotting and then nothing for the rest of the day. I just can't wrap my head around whats happening but I think about it 24/7. I have an appointment this Thursday with my doctor so hopefully everything looks good.
One TW for each thread! In spoiler because it's political, just a warning.
Tomi Lahren is a TW and I'm glad she was fired from her show. I do not feel bad for her. Her saying one moderate thing doesn't erase the loads and loads of awful racist, anti-feminist, anti-Islamic, and anti-refugee things she has said. So glad I don't have to hear her annoying yelling voice spew hateful things anymore. Maybe this will show her she's not special. Her conservative crowd doesn't actually care about women or their opinions and this firing made that very clear.
@DuchessOfCambridge I know some people who loved her for her "honesty" and "clear world view" instead of conforming to the "liberal standards of everyone else her age." Which is just ridiculous and it made me giddy to know they had to witness her downfall. (Yeah, the tw is probably still me lol)
@ArtificialRed nah, you're not the TW. I don't think comparing Black Lives Matter to the KKK is "honest", I think it's racist AF. People get so worked about political correctness. All that being politically correct means is we have learned that things that used to be said to non white people and women were incredibly offensive, those parties just didn't have a voice before. Now they do, and we know it, so we stop saying offensive things. This, for whatever reason, makes many white men feel they are being oppressed. *insert eye roll gif here*
@DuchessOfCambridge she's a huge TW. Not even just the things she said, but her whole delivery. I take issue with anyone that resorts to scolding/insulting those with opposing views without leaving so much as a slight opening for a thoughtful and educated response. It doesn't make her "refreshingly honest" it makes her a verbal bully.
Mine is my sister in law. I had questions about some sensations I was feeling this time around and she is the only person I know who has had her second baby within the last two years. So I ended up telling her at 6 weeks she said she wishes she could convince her husband to try again soon but he wants a full time job first so she doesn't see it happening anytime soon. I'm now 8 weeks and she told me today she will be 4 weeks this coming Saturday. To me that timing is a little suspicious especially since only two weeks ago she would have been ovulating.
This is number #3 for them and #2 for us. Each time they have gotten pregnant it was their first try. Our first try it took us three months this time we were going on 11 months with an early miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy.
She has always been kind of competitive in weird things. We bought a house then they bought house a month later, we were getting married in June and a week before our wedding announced they were pregnant with #1, we got pregnant with the first girl in five generations and before our daughter could turn one they got pregnant with #2 thinking maybe they will have a girl too, now we are pregnant again and two weeks after telling her she is miraculously 1 week pregnant?
I lied and said I was happy for her and I didn't care but in my opinion she was a little insensitive to our situation.
More of a Monday Bitchfest, but whatevs. DH's boss just presented him with a NDA they want him to sign. He's a chef so most is pretty standard don't steal recipes kind of thing. But one clause is that if he quits/gets fired that he won't work in another restaurant for a year. Ummmm he's a chef, what do you want him to do for a year? This is especially problematic for us since he's in process of developing a new restaurant (totally different concept, not stealing anything at all) that will be opening in May. Obviously his bosses don't know that he's planning on leaving in a couple months so idk what we're going to do.
@BayCamp what happens if he refuses to sign the NDA? Would they fire him? If he's planning on leaving in a couple months maybe it'd be worth it to just quit now so at least he wouldn't have to deal with being out of work for a year. YH's boss is a TW! I hate companies that are so full of vengeance like that!
@DuchessOfCambridge he's currently dropping it off at the new place's lawyer to figure out our options. It would kind of suck to be out of work for 6 weeks, but it's better than a year. It's just not the hassle we needed right now.
I guess they just had an investor jump ship and open an almost identical concept so they're being super paranoid now. It's terrible timing.
My twatwaffle is my annoying coworker whose office is next to mine and I've been trying to figure out since I've started if he has some type of mental disorder. He frequently talks very loudly in a cartoon-y type voice, sings whatever he wants at the top of his lungs, and calls me things like "kiddo" and "punkin'" GTFO
@DuchessOfCambridge Similar situation here but my TW is FedEx. They delivered DD's wipes but her diapers aren't coming until tomorrow even though the tracking said they were on the truck this morning. Worst part is she only has a couple of size 5 diapers left. I could always put her in the size 4s I still have if I run out before they get here and just hope she doesn't have a poop explosion.
My DH!!!!!!!! I love him so much but my god I really want him to just clean the house! He works 5-11a and I don't get home til 330/4p...I ask him to pick up around the house, dishes, dog poop in the backyard, etc. And I get one, maybe two things done if I'm lucky, usually he doesn't do anything and naps when he gets home. I'm starving by the time I get home and can't cook if the dishes are all over the sink and counter. But he keeps complaining that the house is a disaster (we've been in the processing of moving in since the beginning of Feb) but he plays video games and doesn't do anything unless I'm forcing him to do it with me.
TW would be the person at my PCP office who answered the questions I left on voicemail and called me back today. My midwives don't see you until 8 weeks. Normal (but that's 2 weeks away). So I called my pcp to find out if I came in if she would prescribe me something for my nausea or give me some suggestions. With my first I lost 15 lbs in my first trimester because of nausea and I do not want it to get that bad. They called back and told me to go to the ER because this is seriously and "cannot wait until tomorrow". Ugh seriously? Nausea is normal in pregnancy and I just don't want it to get as bad as last time. I am not paying the crazy ER copay, let alone my portion of an ER bill and who wants to drag a 1 year old to the ER. I'd probably sit there for hours waiting to be seen anyway. Ugh! I guess I'm putting a call into my midwives tomorrow for advice but seriously. Come on people.
My TW is my house. It's so effing messy right now. But I have zero energy to clean it, despite really wanting too. Especially because I have photo sessions to edit and bows to make for a friend who hired me who owns a kid's bow company. I just want to sleep

@kaitlinliz my husband naps all the time too- instead of doing chores. Drives me nuts.
