This is a place for those of us who have already started TTC, but have started infertility testing and/or treatments. You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on infertility. TTC can be a long journey naturally, then add in the difficulties associated with infertility and it becomes a whole new ball game. The road to infertility can be lonely, frustrating, and complicated, so let's make this a place where we can vent, ask questions, and support one another. Feel free to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say, and treat this like an ongoing conversation.
Diagnosis (If you've been):
Cycle/CD:
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA):
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?)
How are things going?
Any questions?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days?
I took the weekend off from the TB to chill and not think about TTC for a couple of days. I went to yoga, read my book (Big Little Lies - I hate putting it down) supported H in a 20 mile race yesterday and played with the dog. Overall, it was a nice little break
Diagnosis (If you've been): DOR
Cycle/CD: Maybe cycle 12/ CD 15
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Waiting for AF after retrieval
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) My ER was on Friday. They retrieved 2 eggs and 1 fertilized; I will find out by the end of the week if it makes it to freeze and if so it will be PGS tested
How are things going? Fine. I'm obviously disappointed in the ER outcome but we will likely do another stims/ ER cycle and we will see what we get from that. I'm a little emotionally numb from the process right now.
Any questions?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? Yoga, read, watch TV, play with my dog, volunteer at a community theater or something.

Diagnosis (If you've been): unexplained, AMA, Factor V
Cycle/CD: 12/6
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) letrozole, estrogen, trigger, IUI, progesterone, prayer
How are things going? ok today is day 4/5 for letrozole, follie check on friday
Any questions? nope
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? still doing what I do for work but taking more time off to be with family. I want to see all the national parks and travel more, I'd also like to have more time to volunteer.
@laurad75 I'm sorry your ER did not go as well as it could have. I'm sending you huge hugs. Its totally understandable that your numb, I think anyone would be. Its good you had a nice non-TTC weekend. we're here for you any time. Fx for your embie.

TTC 1/2012 Diagnosed : unexplained infertility 6 rounds of IUI and a MC 2/2014, rainbow twins 4/2015 TTC #3 5/2016 Restarted Fertility tx IUI 2 rounds, baby girl 12/17
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Did some more testing (insulin, HSG, endocrinologist), and will go back to our RE for the final consult on Friday - hopefully to discuss IUI,'cause I just can't do this pointless trying any more. It feels like shooting blanks. In pitch dark night. Blindfolded. :P
How are things going?Well, today is not my day (having a very rough IF TTC day) as I accidentally posted this morning in last weeks thread. But figured, new week, new thread, I want to start it on a more positive note, so let me share with you sg that cheered me up a bit this morning. Not sure if it is a universal thing, but perhaps it works for you too
Any questions? Maybe after my doc appt this evening..
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? I'd work out a LOT, take good care of my body, travel tons with DH, read a lot of books and be with friends and family way more. I'd probably still work, but would find sg that I love, probably sg fitness related like coaching, motivational speaker etc.
Me: 33, DH: 38 Married: May 2015 TTC since September 2015
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) First medicated cycle...Clomid and a trigger. Didn't have as much sex as we would want -2,0+2....The -2 I don't know that I'm counting since it was the first sexy time in a month
How are things going? Deciding if I am going to test the trigger...I keep going back and forth.
If I didn't have to work I would coach, workout, adopt more doggies....
@laurad75 Maybe numb isn't such a bad thing...You seem so strong to continue forging ahead!
@anna_1012 Hugs, friend. We all have those terrible days. I hope you can get started on IUI very soon!!
@wabash15 I'm glad you're holding down medicated March for the team!
Diagnosis (If you've been): PCOS and MFI
Cycle/CD: 10/5
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Just waiting for the next cycle to begin so we can start BCP (I am so tired of saying we are just waiting for the next cycle for XYZ....)
How are things going? Fine. Just finished bickering with my mom because she and my aunt are soooo judgmental about my cousin and her new baby (just the usual stuff... how back in their day, they did blah blah so it was fine, and she's being paranoid etc etc) I get so mad even though it's not happening to me because I know I'll hear the same stuff and they don't even know what they're talking about!!
Any questions? Nah
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days?
I'd do more volunteer work for sure - I'd love to work with children on their schoolwork and work in an animal shelter. Then I'd go to the gym everyday and maybe even teach fitness classes (I was about to pursue this when we decided to start TTC and I didn't because I knew I'd be KU soon... LOL).
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) We've been mostly NTNP for the last 1.5 cycles, but for me that mostly means not temping and not using OPKs because I can't seem to actually ignore EWCM. Considering getting DH in for a repeat SA
How are things going? Last week was pretty rough. I have the BRCA1 gene, which means I'm high risk for breast cancer (80% likelihood). This only matters because they recommend a preventative bilateral mastectomy before I turn 35... and I really want to BF my kids. So, I know it's just dumb pressure that I'm putting on myself, but I can't help but feel like I'm racing the cancer clock. Like, please let me get KU and BF my kid(s) before I get cancer.
Any questions? My OB is weird. We don't really have any REs closer than 4 hours away, so I've been limping along with my OB. We haven't done any testing beyond the SA and ultrasounds on my ovaries/lining (which were multipurpose to check for ovarian cancer)... but my OB is pushing hard for IUI. Every time I ask a question, they brush it off and say that they recommend IUI. So, my question is: does anyone think it's weird that he's pushing so hard for IUI without having completed all "normal" IF tests on me? I asked about the HSG, FSH, etc. and he said that he didn't think they were necessary since my cycles are very regular....
In my mind it seems weird to go ahead and blow $900 on IUI when, for all we know, there are other undiagnosed issues...?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? riding horses, napping, cooking elaborate and indulgent meals, traveling....
@lund I do think that's weird, but only because even my regular OB wouldn't discuss anything until we did allllll the tests. She wasn't even like "oh if this happens, we can try XYZ", she just said we need to cover all bases before any treatments. *TW* I remember even thinking the SA was a complete waste of time since we had been KU before, but lo and behold, it revealed issues so long story short - I am fully in the camp that all tests should be done because you truly never know.
@laurad75 Sorry that the ER didn't go as planned, but FX so hard for that one little fighter
@wabash15 I just love your "What are you doing this cycle?" Not sure why, it's the "usual stuff", but the was you wrote it, it feels so well rounded, you even ended it on a prayer Rooting for you.
@hartmich This is so wierd, I was in a very similar situation this weekend with my mom. It's my brother's wife she was soo judgemental about (like how she is always tapping her phone, and how she wasn't running around after her kid //when there was 2 grandparents at site//...blah blah blah). I ended up scolding my mom, that she just can't be like this I actually told her that it might be easier to be judgemental with her DIL, but what would she say if my MIL did the same thing to me?
@lund I think that's really wierd. Like why would you spend time and money on IUI before it is tested that your eggs can actually travel down to your uterus (HSG)? I am lucky enough to live in a big city so reaching an RE is not an issue. Only visited him when we had what I thought was all the necessary tests (except HSG which I planned to do with him), but he even sent me to one more. Is there any chance you can switch to another OB? Cause usually they are more helpful than that, I guess.
Me: 33, DH: 38 Married: May 2015 TTC since September 2015
@laurad75 I'm sorry you didn't get more, but all it takes is 1! FX for you.
@Anna_1021 I'm sorry, we all have rough IF days. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
@LuND I asked a similar question last week --I thought I was going to have a medicated cycle or 2 w/ more testing but instead I was pushed right into IUI. I thought it was because of age but after asking RE about it I'm pretty sure it's just her regular policy. Also we did tell her we wanted to be aggressive due to age and wanting 2, and maybe if you said the thing about cancer to yours they got that impression from you too... My tubes haven't been checked yet either so we are doing that AND IUI in same cycle (next). In terms of the HSG, maybe someone can correct me on this, but if tube(s) are blocked couldn't your cycles still appear regular or semi-regular? Am I wrong about that? In any case it is possible to check that before IUI in same cycle as that is what I'm doing.
Diagnosis (If you've been): Severe MFI, Robertsonian Translocation
Cycle/CD: 16/21
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW/NTNP
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Clomid is working, so waiting until May for repeat SA.
How are things going? Fine. I feel like I am always in between telling people about my IF journey and keeping it a secret to protect myself. I feel like I only want to tell people that I know will be supportive and not "say the wrong things", but at the same time I don't want it to be a stigma and something to be embarrassed about.
Any questions? nada
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? Traveling the world and reading books. Probably some sort of animal rescue thing too.
@laurad75 I get the whole feeling numb thing. I say it all the time. I just don't have emotions about any of this.
@Lund, that does seem weird that they won't complete the testing, but again it's your OB and not an RE. So I feel like the RE might want to complete the tests and the OB is usually more relaxed about it. I don't understand why he can't just do BW testing. That is so simple! And yes, what is the point of an IUI if you haven't tested to see if you have a blocked tube... I would push for it. Are diagnostics covered on your insurance?

Diagnosis (If you've

describe an unnamed ovulation disorder involving my uncooperative pituitary
gland. Because it doesn’t have a name and is described under the general
heading of “ovulation disorders” (often listed with PCOS and
hypoprolactinemia), I can’t get any solid statistical info on it. There's not even a section on it in TCOYF.

Saturday and Sunday after testing at least once a day for the last 25 days, and CM pattern lines up with that.
What are you doing this
cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) this cycle will be our last natural one and we
gave it all we had with TI, but assuming that wasn’t enough, next cycle we’re on
to IUI w/ Clomid
How are things going? Pretty
good. I did some calendar math and figured out my sister is going to be
visiting me with her kids and new husband the same week I’m set to start Clomid,
which sucks. Hopefully the side effects won’t be too bad or will be delayed. Whenever anyone visits us they always want to go to a
bunch of vineyards so I’m going to have to take it easy at the tastings or be
DD depending on the exact timing of AF/Clomid.
Any questions? I thought
I was getting a HSG next cycle but it turns out I am getting a SSG. I read this
is less invasive, uses saline instead of dye, but does basically the same thing
as the HSG. Anyone else here had a SSG instead of a HSG and care to share your
experience? Is the SSG newer or more expensive?
GTKY: If money were no

@vflux33 I had an STP-Saline tubal perfusion. It felt like a bad pap. But I didn't have any pain or discomfort after it was done. Just that intense burning during the procedure but it only lasted 45 seconds. Insurance covered my STP, so I am no help there.

@hartmich Ok I'm glad it's not just me that thinks it's a bit strange.
@Anna_1021 The more I chat with you lovely ladies, the more convinced I am that I need to switch OBs. I've been holding off because the OB I'd pursue (because he has a bit of experience with IF) works at the same office as my current OB, and I'm honestly afraid if I switch there will be some dumb grudge against me, or I'll be labeled the "needy" patient and receive sub-standard care. I'll likely just suck it up and do it, it's just a fear I have.
@vflux33 that is a good point. They could be pushing for IUI because of my cancer risk. It's good to hear that there are other REs/OBs who do the same, but I do think I'll push for the HSG beforehand if we end up doing IUI. ETA - thank you for pointing to last week's IF thread where you asked the same/similar question. I'm reading it now and is very helpful!
@LuND I almost went for a local OB trained in IF instead of my RE but decided against it because I was afraid of some of the stuff it sounds like you're experiencing (and the RE here isn't as far away as yours). I understand why you wouldn't want to go 4 hours away, but FWIW if you did decide to do that or switch OBs I definitely do not think you'd be labeled as "needy" and receive substandard care. Lots of people get second opinions and if you're not comfortable with the current OB's plan, or if he's not explaining it to you enough, a second opinion is warranted. This situation is stressful enough with complete trust in a doctor. And if the new doctor said the same thing, at the very least it will put your mind at ease.

@vflux33 i've had both and they're basically the same other than the saline one they watch with an US and I did it in the RE's office where as the HSG was done at a hospital/radiology facility with fluroscopy. So there is slightly more exposure to radiation with HSG but really the fluroscopy is only on for 2 or 3 minutes so its NBD. as for cost I'm not sure...

@wabash15 Oh wow, thank you, I didn't realize that about the radiation. I am probably overly cautious about radiation (we don't even own a microwave) so now I'm really really glad I'm getting the SSG instead. I have zero IF and zero IF testing insurance so my SSG is going to be $350 OOP. But if that is a lot compared to a HSG I'd gladly pay more for something less invasive with less exposure to radiation.
@LuND I'm surprised your OB wouldn't do the HSG before an IUI--the IUI won't work if your tubes are blocked! And a blocked tube doesn't have any effect on your cycle. You could see about going to an ultrasound office for the HSG if you can't get to an RE's office, if there's one of those closer to you. My gyno originally wrote me an order for an HSG at an imaging place so they certainly do them. Then they send the images to your doctor.
@vflux33 In addition to it being sonogram vs. x-ray, the HSG is checking uterus and tubes, while the SSG only looks at the shape of the uterus. I had the HSG first to check for blocked tubes, then my doc wanted the SSG done to better see the fibroids I had. But if you don't know about your tubes yet, then they might have you do that at some point to make sure they aren't blocked.

How are things going? Of the 5 eggs they got, 3 were mature and fertilized, but only one grew enough for biopsy and freezing. Now we're waiting on the results of PGS, which should be in 7-10 days.
Any questions?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days?
I'd travel and be a lady of leisure. I'm truly like the guy in Office Space. I'd do nothing. Maybe eventually I'd pick up a hobby.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Some repeat testing (just bloodwork and repeat SA), loads of supplements & vitamins, TI, waiting for appointments next week
How are things going? Well, I'm pretty sure I ovulated! So that's pretty big. My temps showed a definite shift and I had all the signs. My last cycle was 88 days and AO. It was the first AO cycle I had in months and very discouraging, so I'll take this small victory while I remain in limbo waiting for a treatment plan. DH and I also agreed that we'd crack down on savings a bit so that I can supplement our IF treatments & testing next month with acupuncture. Idk why but adding something new to the million things we are already trying on our own helps me remain a tiny bit hopeful in the midst of all of this.
Any questions?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? I'd just build the coziest home I could imagine and spend my days there with family- cooking, hosting dinner parties for close friends, reading, geeking out over cool documentaries/old movies with DH, and painting. I'd love to volunteer again as well and of course, to travel.
@leekat14 You hit some fantastic days timing-wise! I would definitely try not to read too much into it or worry too much. FX for you this cycle.
@hartmich Yes, MIL and her friends have been doing this a lot lately. My aunt does this too. The criticism/comparisons are endless from *possible TW* a registry having too many "useless" things to parenting techniques, nursing, sleep patterns, and more! *end TW* I feel you on getting defensive for people because I imagine I'd be pretty impatient about the whole thing myself if I were a mother to be.
@LuND I'm sorry to see you in this thread but it's also nice to see your posts! That's a tough spot to be in with your OB. It's possible she's being more adamant about IUI because of your predispositions and the things you've told her, but it's also possible it's just their office's protocol. Does their office at least offer HSG or SHG testing? If it were me, I'd push for it or seek a second opinion. But I only say that after ignorantly having been under the care of an OB when I should have been at an RE all along. My OB was awesome but she overlooked a lot at my expense last summer and we lost a good six months of trying to things that ultimately weren't working...I understand your situation and the distance to an RE isn't feasible, but I do think you'll unfortunately have to advocate for yourself a bit more in an OB's office in general and to me, asking for the tests you think are necessary before beginning IUI is probably a good place to begin.
Diagnosis (If you've been): Unexplained secondary IF

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Letrozole, Trigger, Progesterone, OPK, BBT, RRL, CoQ10, therapy for MH
How are things going? I had my blood work and scan this morning to see where I'm at and it appears I may have ovulated...I knew it was a chance that we missed O since we couldn't get down to the office over the weekend. The doc made sure we were aware of that chance but said we could wait to go in today if need be. I had 1 follie measuring 14mm on Thursday and another measuring 10mm, and now the biggest one is measuring 11mm. So either the 14mm is on its way down or it shrunk..the nurse's words, not mine. I didn't even know that was possible?? I am 99% sure I just Od on my own b/c I got a blaring positive OPK yesterday and a temp dip today. I'm waiting to hear how my blood work is looking as the nurse said that will give more info at this point. Not sure if they'll have me trigger anyway, just waiting to hear. It doesn't seem that I had much of a reaction to the Letrozole. I still only released 1 egg and I didn't O any earlier. I think I'll ask if they can try upping the dosage next time around.
Any questions?

@laurad75 It's nice to unplug every once in a while. Fx for your eggs! @Anna_1021 Responding to your post in the previous thread. Sorry you're having a rough time, huge hugs to you girl. Let yourself feel however you need to @LuND I'm so sorry about your BRCA1 gene, I know I would feel the exact same pressure in your shoes. I'm sorry As for the OB, my OB really didn't know much about IF treatment so after a few visits with him, I realized I wasn't going to get anywhere with them and moved on to the RE. The distance is a pain. Would your OB monitor you through a medicated cycle? And would they give you an HSG before moving forward with treatment? Did you get any initial blood work done? Seems quick to jump to IUI without prior testing.
@eggplantface Thank you--I saw your comment and decided to call my RE to ask just now and the office said my SSG actually will also be used to look at my tubes in addition to my uterus (though from looking online it may be used just for the uterus by many other REs). I don't know if it will be as thorough/exact as an HSG though.
@laurad75 I'm sorry ER didn't go as well as you hoped, but I'm very glad you have one little fighter there. FX that the tests come out beautifully!!

What are you doing this cycle: Taking all the supplements, added DHEA and Myo Inositol, acupuncture, researching whether there is a fertility dance I should be doing.
How are things going: We're waiting on a referral from OH's doctor so we can bank his sperm. I have no idea why, but the place we are using asks for a doctor's note for fertility preservation. We're paying OOP because our insurance does not cover it, so I'm not sure why we have to jump through this particular hoop. He's ready for me to start "jerking him off into a cup" so he can begin testosterone replacement.
Also, I keep having this dream that I forgot to inject myself with fertility meds, or to complete some process. We're doing natural cycles, so I'm not forgetting meds. But it is very real and I wake up freaked out that there's something I'm supposed to be doing. I don't have doubts about our decision not to do IVF, but apparently my dreams have other ideas...
Any questions: Nope.
GTKY: I think if I didn't have to work, I'd travel with OH more. We want to go to all the national parks, too, @wabash15! I'd also volunteer more with the local children's home. @wabash15 OK possibly a dumb question, but just out of curiosity why does anyone get the HSG instead of a SSG then? Is it more precise? Is there a reason some REs prefer it? Seems with the added expense plus extra invasiveness plus more radiation exposure that it wouldn't be as standard as it sounds. I'm not a doctor and I'm guessing you're not either but having had both I'm wondering if you have an opinion or extra info on that.
Ladies thank you for the virtual hugs, the cheers, the kind words. I feel better already. I am so lucky to have found such an amazing, supportive, incredibly strong community.
@lund I understand why is it difficult to switch OBs like that, but I don't think you'd be marked as "needy". @vflux33. We are OOP, (but I can get reimbursed in some cases). I looked into the cost of the HSG vs. SHG and it was no comparison. The contrast dye lights up the tubes so they're much easier to see. My ob didn't have the ability to see the bubbles, so it was just regular SHG, in office, and he was able to report "at least unilateral tube parency," bc he saw the fluid spilling out, but bc it's not all lit up like the fluoroscopy is, he didnt want to "guarantee" bilateral tube patency in my case. SHG is better for looking at the ute, for polyps etc. I think, but it will more or less work for tubes too, with the bubbles especially. ;)
@laurad75 That's great you got to have a good weekend free of TTC-related things. Sorry to hear your ER didn't go as well as you would have liked. Hopefully this 1 embry is perfect and sticky.
@wabash15 Good luck at your follie check! I find myself counting down the days between checks.
@anna_1021 I hope you get a plan at your final consult! In my experience, I feel so much better when I have a plan. The waiting around for results and feeling like you're making no progress is the pits.
@hartmich I think we should rename "trying to conceive" to "waiting to conceive". I do more waiting than trying if you know what I mean. Waiting for results, waiting for a plan, waiting to ovulate, two week waiting...
@LuND I'm so sorry you're feeling that extra pressure because of the BRCA1. That's really tough stuff. And the spot you're in with your OB is unfortunate too. I do agree with the other ladies that you should push for those extra tests - either through your current OB or a new doctor. I don't think you'll be labeled needy, but even if you are (a) the tests will come back fine, but it will be worth your peace of mind, or (b) the tests will come back abnormal, and you'll be so glad you got them.
@TravelingCouple I hope you got some good timing in for your possible O!
@Aurora1973 Love Liz Lemon. I hope the new supplements do the trick for you. I have PCOS and I tried myo inositol over the summer, and I do think it helped. I don't know if I O'ed, but the only time I got my period without meds since we started TTC was when I was on myo inositol.

How are things going? Follie check this morning. I have some growing but not close to where they need to be yet. Grow follies, grow! I've been feeling good the past couple days. I think because I'm completely an-O on my own, just seeing follies growing is enough to put me in a good mood. Plus I'm getting monitored every other day so the "waiting" part during this part of the cycle is never more than 48 hours, which is nice.
Any questions? This is just a silly, random question, but - socks on or off for a U/S? I used to take them off because I took the "undress from the waist down" very literally, but the past 2 times I've left them on because I was cold. And also lazy.
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? The same way @magnolia131 says. A big house with tons of little house parties for family and friends to come to. I would travel some too, and read a lot.

@juneroseruby Oh man... "warm feet, warm ute" - I've been doing it all wrong! I must also look up these socks.
I almost forgot ladies... that $2,000 I was originally quoted for medications... between changing up the meds a little and a pre-approval for my trigger that finally went through, I now only ("only") have to pay $300 for all my meds this cycle! That is certainly helping with my good mood!!
@madspunk thats great news about the meds!! I'm socks off if its summer outside and I'm wearing flip flops, otherwise its socks on... and for IUI day I try to pick out fun socks... this actually made me think of a random thought I had this morning... I try to make sure my legs are shaved and things are trimmed neatly for my US appointments, well this morning I had a goofy thought about putting some sparkle on it, then I wondered if they ever have patients do wacky things like that and if so what's the weirdest thing they've ever seen!

@wabash15 hi friend Sending all the good vibes that this is your cycle!
@Anna_1021 so sorry you've been having a rough time lately. Hopefully your RE will have some more answers and you'll get to move forward with IUI
Married: May 2015
TTC since September 2015
Cycle/CD: 16/21

Diagnosis (If you've been): “Pituitary Pause”, which I’ve concluded is a term my RE made up to describe an unnamed ovulation disorder involving my uncooperative pituitary gland. Because it doesn’t have a name and is described under the general heading of “ovulation disorders” (often listed with PCOS and hypoprolactinemia), I can’t get any solid statistical info on it. There's not even a section on it in TCOYF.
Cycle/CD: 11 or 12/38
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): Cautiously saying TWW--still confirming with temps but did finally get a positive OPK Saturday and Sunday after testing at least once a day for the last 25 days, and CM pattern lines up with that.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) this cycle will be our last natural one and we gave it all we had with TI, but assuming that wasn’t enough, next cycle we’re on to IUI w/ Clomid
How are things going? Pretty good. I did some calendar math and figured out my sister is going to be visiting me with her kids and new husband the same week I’m set to start Clomid, which sucks. Hopefully the side effects won’t be too bad or will be delayed. Whenever anyone visits us they always want to go to a bunch of vineyards so I’m going to have to take it easy at the tastings or be DD depending on the exact timing of AF/Clomid.
Any questions? I thought I was getting a HSG next cycle but it turns out I am getting a SSG. I read this is less invasive, uses saline instead of dye, but does basically the same thing as the HSG. Anyone else here had a SSG instead of a HSG and care to share your experience? Is the SSG newer or more expensive?
GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? I think I'd tell MH to quit his job, I'd stop working too, and we would buy a bunch of land up north and become self-sustainable/ off the grid weirdos.

@LuND I'm so sorry about your BRCA1 gene, I know I would feel the exact same pressure in your shoes.

I just started going one night a week to play with little ones and hold babies. It's purely selfish to fill the gap since I'm not getting KU. Oh, and I'd get back to trail running.

GTKY: If money were no object (didn't have to work, etc), how would you spend your days? The same way @magnolia131 says. A big house with tons of little house parties for family and friends to come to. I would travel some too, and read a lot.

I would probably start by designing my own home from the ground up. Maybe also open up a small yoga studio.
