How big is baby? Asparagus
Any appointments this week? Nope
Symptoms? Blerg. Back pain has started up in earnest. I may need to have a nightly heat-pad session while I'm sitting on the couch after work. More RLP when I'm shifting, and leg cramps started up at night. I notice I seem to be behind a week or two with a lot of my symptoms, compared to when our ladies start mentioning them. Also, I've been very fatigued again, but I also have a little cold, so that may be the culprit.
Cravings? All the food right now
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm pretty much over work at this point. I still have just over a month to go, but now that I've started training my replacement, I just want to be outta here.

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing? Just being outside more! Usually we make a couple trips to the beach in the summer, but I'm not sure if that will be happening this year with the LO. We also have a yearly family trip to a lake. I'm hoping we still feel up to going for a day or two.
How big is baby? A durian fruit.... I haven't a clue what that is.
Any appointments this week? My next one is a week from today.
Symptoms? I'm sort of feeling over being pregnant now....not that I want baby to come early, but I'm just feeling a bit uncomfortable these days. I'm OK as long as I don't sit or stand or stay in any one position for too long, but sleeping isn't really comfortable anymore and I know I potentially still have quite a few more weeks left!
Cravings? Sometimes ice cream? Just food in general, but a small amount fills me up quickly
Rants/Raves/Questions? How late do you feel comfortable traveling say more than 2 hours from home? DD1 is about to start spring break and we were considering making a trip (4 hour drive) over to the coast because she's been asking to go to the beach, but I'm a little apprehensive about being that far from the hospital....just in case.

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing? Usually, we do a lot of camping trips throughout the summer, but I'm not sure about how that will work being in a very small camper with a newborn who will likely wake up several times throughout the night. So, we haven't made any actual plans yet.
I also love to try my hand at growing veggies and fruits in our yard.

Asparagus
Any appointments this week?
Not until next Friday and we're doing a hospital visit the week after that.
Symptoms?
RLP, some lower back pain, and I think the line on my stomach is starting to show (I can never remember what it's called).
Cravings?
Carmel rolls, carmel dipping sauce with apples, and root beer.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
What are people's opinions about push presents? I first heard the term about a year ago. I asked H what he thought about it and he just laughed.
Rant: I have a big presentation to give tomorrow and my supervisor just told me this morning that I have to start from scratch because the direction I was going with my information is "not right." WTF. I emailed my supervisor on Monday to varify that I was going in the right direction with my info, only to get an automated "I'm out of the office until Wednesday and will return emails then" reply. She never got back to me yesterday so I emailed her again today and that's when she told me to start over. Needless to say, I'm quite peeved. I feel like I've had a lot to bitch about this week. It's kinda been one of those "when it rains it pours" weeks.

I love grilling out and having a bon fire at night in the summer. Something about sitting around a fire and watching the stars is so therapeutic.
How big is baby? squash
Any appointments this week? Had one on Monday. Very routine and everything is checking out great. HB is still staying at 155 and fundal height was at 32.
Symptoms? I'm so over the hips/thigh pain when sleeping. I usually go to bed about 8-9 hours before my alarm is set and normally I would feel okay but I'm so tired from the constant turning. I may just have to try sleeping on my back a little upright and see how that goes.
Cravings? None at the moment
Rants/Raves/Questions? None. Just tired.
@luckywife10 There was talk about push presents sometimes in the last week in one of the random threads in case you didn't see that? I think the baby is a good enough push present!

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing? This year, I'm not sure. But I do look forward to at least getting a water table and small pool to set up in our backyard for DD. And one of those sprinklers where it waves back and forth. Hopefully she will like that!

How big is baby?
According to my ultrasound last week, 3 lbs and some oz I don't remember
Any appointments this week?
I had an appointment last week and the ultrasound. Baby is small but not too small; 33rd percentile. Looking good.
Symptoms?
SPD is starting to act up a bit in a hit-or-miss way. This morning I could NOT walk for 10 min. But then it was all good.
Cravings?
none

We have a really great swim club that I look forward to going to with the kids. And I look forward to getting back in shape there. I haven't swam since last summer right before getting pregnant so I know I'll be awful at first, but when I was doing it regularly I got in really great shape so I look forward to that being my postpartum activity. It will open up a few weeks after baby comes.
How many weeks old is baby? 34w gestational, 3 weeks tomorrow

@luckywife10 My husband laughed too. I thought about buying myself a push present!

How big is baby? Asparagus
Any appointments this week? I had a routine one yesterday - she is measuring a week ahead. My iron levels were low last time so I've been taking a supplement and eating lots of spinach.
Symptoms? Sore heels - not sure if it's from the weight gain or what, but it isn't fun. I've been putting my feet up at night when watching TV.
Cravings? Frozen yogurt, always!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Sick of work and "pass the buck"sters.
Team Pink/Blue/Green? Pink
GTKY: Normally it's hiking and looking at the wildflowers, but I'm not up for much these days, and the trails around where I live are pretty hilly! I hope to get back into it sometime in the late summer or fall, with baby in tow!
How big is baby? A Squash
Any appointments this week? Have another check up on Tuesday
Symptoms? carpal tunnel making my hand go numb at night. Occasional hip pain, swelling, and starting to feel so huge that it's a bit uncomfortable. Happy 3rd tri!
Cravings? Lots of food, carbs and sweets. But learning I can't eat too much anymore or I get sooo full!
Rants/Raves/Questions? We're on Spring break this week and it is incredibly nice to work at my own pace, but I'm now dreading going back to work. I realized that I've been pushing my body way too hard there, but it's such a demanding school and age group that I kind of have to. I'm trying to figure out how to make it the next weeks and starting to consider leaving earlier than I was planning.
DH is just completely amazing, more and more each week. He came home with the cutest outfit the other day, complete with sunglasses and matching bows! He lets me get my sleep in, asks what he can do around the house, and has learned how to give good massages (without expecting anything after! haha). I can't wait to see him as a daddy, he already loves his little girl so much.

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing?
Gardening outside with a nice cool adult beverage
@luckywife10 I don't really like the idea of push presents. I hadn't heard of it until recently, either, and I assumed it was something rich older guys did for their trophy wives. Not meaning to offend anyone, as I know plenty of the ladies here mentioned getting a push present. I just don't get it...you're giving birth, why does that occasion warrant a present?
How big is baby? Squash
Any appointments this week? I had one on Tuesday, everything went well.
Symptoms? Major heartburn last night had me up and on the couch at 2am. Also lower back pain.
Cravings? Right now I really want chips and queso and a chocolate dipped cone from Dairy Queen.
Rants/Raves/Questions? We are supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow tonight with high winds and blizzard like conditions, I hope it's enough for a snow day tomorrow I could use a 3 day weekend!

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing? We normally go to a big lake about 4 hours away several times in the summer but I think we maybe limited to once or twice toward the end of summer this year. This year I'm looking forward to taking the boys for walks, spending time at the park, hanging out in the backyard and grilling. Much more low key summer then we're used too but it will be fun!
@luckywife10 - that would drive me insane! And likely also a little violent. Good luck!!! Also, while I'm not a fan of expecting a present, I'm never going to turn one down. I got a very lovely set of Mikimoto pearls when DS was born that I was not expecting. I thought it was extremely sweet, even though I rarely wear them.
@museic - my heart just melted a little reading about your husband!
How far along are you? 34 weeks.
How big is baby? Butternut squash according to the app; 4 lbs 1 oz, according to my US yesterday!
Any appointments this week? Yesterday I had my routine visit, and what turned out to be my last visit with the MFM (yaaaaaaaaaaaay!). All is good - she's still measuring small, but nothing to indicate any further issues.
Symptoms? Is bitchiness a symptom?
Cravings? Sleep. And ice cream - really anything sweet.
Rants/Raves/Questions? The next person who tells me "omg you're huge!" is getting punched in the face. Seriously. It's giving me a complex, especially because I don't feel like I'm any larger than anyone else at 34 weeks (except the former ballerina that I work with, who gave birth 6 weeks ago and is already back in a size 0. But she is a freak of nature).

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing? DS loves to be outside, so since Texas is basically already in spring we've been spending a lot of time outside. Next Friday is my day off with our 9/80 schedule, and I'm planning on letting him be a total disaster outside. H is going to help me haul some dirt into the back yard to do some planting, and then make DS a mudpit to roll his trucks around in. I'm also going to make a gelatin sensory bin for him to destroy. I can't wait.

How big is baby? Asparagus. He was estimated to be just a smidge under 3lb at my growth scan last week, at about 35%ile
Any appointments this week? I had my monthly check this week. I passed my glucose test. I start weekly NST's next week, and will see OB again in 2 weeks instead of 4.
Symptoms? Hips still get sore at night, and I'm so frigging exhausted every night.
Cravings? Not really
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm too tired at night to do much housework, and it's really starting to show.

My BFF and I try to hit the beach a few times since she has the summers off as a teacher. Not sure how well that will work with 2 kids. Otherwise we spend a lot of days at my IL's summer home on a pond, luckily it's in my town and about a 15 minute drive. DD loves the water!
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
How big is baby? Squash
Any appointments this week? Tomorrow, then every 2 weeks begins! Follow up ultrasound to check kidneys soon
Symptoms? Belly stretching and cervix pain. Baby is a low rider
Cravings? Orange juice and giant chocolate chip cookies
Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm so excited to be in the home stretch of working. Only two and a half weeks left then I'm home free until August!

How big is baby? Loaf of bread apparently
Any appointments this week? Had a check up yesterday, LO has turned head down and yeast infections are a pain. BP is also elevated so I have to have that rechecked this week.
Symptoms? Do we need this question anymore, I think we've hit the point that we're all uncomfortable regardless of why lol
Cravings? I haven't really been hungry, LO is running out of space so I'm craving a lack of food
Rants/Raves/Questions? See appointments
also a a friend who was due a week before me had her LO a few days ago, cue massive freak out that, that could be me any day

GTKY: Do you have a favorite spring/summer activity you're looking forward to doing? I've just come out of summer into autumn, I am just looking forward to long pants and not melting, I love winter.
My favourite summer activity is air conditioning.

But for #2, my midwife didn't really have a hard & fast rule. I was invited to a wedding at 36-37ish weeks that was a flight away. She said we could go, but only if someone could watch our son, i.e., we didn't have to deal with traveling with him. Well that didn't happen so DH went without me.
I haven't asked the question this time around but I think there is no need because I don't have any plans that far away, other than going to work up until the last minute, and I'm only 30 min away.
How big is baby? A butternut squash
Appts: Wed. my fluid was checked again w/ an u/s--made it up from 7 to 10.3, so my doctors were happier. Baby passed the NST & measured correctly for her due date, but legs still measure a full week ahead, so I think we have a tall girl on our hands!
Symptoms: So much hip pain at night, back pain during the day.
Cravings: peanut butter
Team Pink!
GTKY: I'm looking forward to warm days, plenty of hours to get things done or enjoy relaxing, and tax season to be over so I can get my CPA hubby back!
