GTKY Makeup/Beauty Talk

Is it me, or is the board dead lately? I got this idea from the wedding forums I used to be on. They had a weekly "makeup Monday" thread that was crazy popular.

So talk makeup to me. Are you a big makeup wearer? Where do you tend to get your products (Sephora, Ulta, drug store)? Any holy grail products that make you feel like a million bucks? Recent finds that you are dying to gush about? Did you change anything about your makeup/beauty routine because of TTC?

If you have any makeup/beauty questions for the group, shout them out!

Re: GTKY Makeup/Beauty Talk

  • LOVE this thread idea! I'm a total makeup junkie and rarely met a high-end splurge I didn't like lol. I get almost all my makeup at Sephora, with a few extras picked up from Glossier/Ulta/Nordstroms as needed.

Holy grail products: Dior Skin Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Concealer, Benefit Hula Bronzer (love it for contour)

I'm a total palette whore, but the current one I've fallen back in love with is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, although day-to-day I pretty much just use it for my brows.

New Product I'm obsessed with: Soft Light Blurring Setting Powder by Becca.  I just started using this a month ago, and I'm obsessed.  The finish is so light and gorgeous and instagram filter-y.  Also the UD Vice Liquid Lip and Make Up Forever Liquid lip are both so good, almost no transfer and the color lasts really well for me.  I always like the color pay off on Colourpop, but I get crazy transfer and bleeding and it drives me bananas, so I don't wear them that often.

Anyone have a mascara they love? I've been using the Benefit Rollerball lately and the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes. And I like them, but I don't love them.  (I have tried Too Faced's Better than Sex Mascara and Benefit's They're Real, and wasn't a fan of either of them.)

(And I love to talk good skincare, my moisturizer/primer routine in the morning is excessive lol.)

AWESOME idea, @LoveInDC! I'm a makeup addict - but my budget fluctuates, so I usually spend more time in the drugstore than anywhere else - but I've found GREAT finds there!

From Ulta/Sephora: I LOVE tarte. Anything from that brand is amazing. I love the Amazonian Clay foundation, Shape Tape, and the Showstopper eye/face palette (it has the Park Avenue Princess bronzer in it, which is a fave). I love the Benefit brow products, Urban Decay Naked palettes, and Kat Von D's lipstick (both liquid and regular formula) is the best around, period.

My recent drugstore discovery is the Wet n' Wild Photofocus foundation. LOVE. THIS. STUFF. And it's only $5! I want to try the Milani conceal+perfect also from the drugstore. And @KatieEl, my favorite mascaras are actually drugstore brands - either the Physician's Formula Organic Formula (in a metallic green tube), or the Maybelline BIG (pink tube with green top). I like the Benefit RollerLash also, but it's not my favorite. I reach for the drugstore brands way more often.

@KatieEl, I am as far from a skincare junkie as you can get. I actually don't do ANYTHING for my skin!! I want to - can we chat about what you use, sometime?

  • @kaylev0430 I used to use the Maybelline BIG and it actually was my favorite mascara ever, I clearly need to go back and stop wasting my money on the other stuff! And I'm always 100% down to chat skincare.  I actually never used to do anything, I'm talking Cetaphil + moisterizer and go, **TW**but my skin was horrific--horrific--during my last pregnancy, so I actually got really into it then, and luckily the habit kept up.  **END TW** Or maybe not luckily for my bank account, since I keep adding steps and products.

So my morning routine: cleanse (I still love my Cetaphil, but the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is really good too, but why pay the extra money?), then I use the Cane + Austin 30% Miracle Resurfacing Pads, Drunk Elephant Vitamin C Serum (the best Vitamin C serum I've ever used), Glossier's Super Bounce Serum, Spritz my face with rose water (I'm using Glossier now, but I'm not brand loyal), Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Moisturizer, Glossier Super Rich Moisturizer/Primer.  And then primer/makeup depending on what kind of a face I'm doing that day.  But I really do feel like my skin is so good now, that most days all I need is a primer and a tinted moisturizer and my skin looks so great (probably because there is already so much crap on it. lol)

Evening Routine: cleanse, Drunk Elephant Framboo Glycolic Night Serum, Drunk Elephant Marula Oil, Cane + Austin Eye Cream

3x(ish) a week I try to use a more exfoliating cleanser like Vasanti Brighten Up! And I try to mask one day a week, just using whatever I feel like: charcoal, snail serum, the Drunk Elephant Baby Facial, or whatever goodie I get in my Birchbox.

  • @KatieEl so. freaking. awesome. Thank you!! I have acne-prone skin, and I don't know if I'm dry, oily or combo (I'm gonna make an appt with an aesthetician (sp?) to find out so I'm not flying blind), but I definitely want to try some of the steps! What's your fave primer? Hilariously/oddly, I've heard that Monistat Chafing-Relief Powder-Gel is a great pore-blurring version...but I wonder what others are loving at the moment.

  • @KatieEl @kaylev0430 I'm happy to see some people excited about this thread!

Funny enough, DH got me into makeup! He was looking one way to spoil me so he nearly gave me a literal push into Sephora. So overwhelming! 7 months and a few Youtube beauty gurus later, and I think I'm starting to get a handle on things. Mixing between mostly high end with some drug store to even it out. DH's grandparents gave me 6mo of Birchbox for Christmas, so that's helping me try new things.

    Holy Grail Products:
    • Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara - I found I really really like bristle brushes over rubber combs
    • IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream - My anti-foundation foundation for days I need coverage without putting on a full face
    • Tartelette in Bloom - My every-day dress up/dress down eye palette
    • UD Vice Lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend - Literally my lips but better with the perfect amount of coverage for "no makeup" days
New Obsession: Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless - I love this foundation! I could never find the right foundation that matches my skin tone. I also have oily skin, so I need matte, but I don't want anything too matte, you know? This works so perfectly. Applying it with the beauty blender is giving me life right now. DH also found the last NYX Warm Neutrals palette in a 100 mile radius for me. It is every color I love. Still playing around with it though.

Skin Care Routine: My MUA for the wedding was actually a skin care specialist as well! She has me on Amway products specifically for oily skin (cleanser, toner, and a light gel moisturizer). It completely revolutionized my skin. It's so balanced now. Obsessed!

Primers: Birchbox sent me the Porefessional that I'm liking so far. I also tried a Laura Mercier Blemish-less primer that did alright. I'm also looking for a good primer.

    Questions:
    • I use the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set my foundation, but I think I need a setting spray. Anyone have good recommendations?
    • How does everyone feel about buying makeup online? I want to try ColourPop and Makeup Geek, but I'm so worried about buying shadows or liquid lipsticks online when I can't swatch the color myself to feel/see it. Success stories? Regrets?
  • @LoveInDC It's not just you, the board is so quiet. It's really sad. But also good because then it means more ladies are getting their babies. Ultimate goal.

So I am completely biased when it comes to skincare and makeup because I sell Mary Kay. I've been super careful about not mentioning that here because I know that's not what this board is about, as well it shouldn't be, but since we're in a thread specifically designated for it, why not! I used to be such a product hopper and would just buy whatever was on sale at the drugstore. Then when I had my DS, my skin went through the war, or so it looked. I upped the game and started buying expensive skincare, I tried making my own for a while..nothing worked. I came across Mary Kay and my skin has literally never looked better. I use the Miracle Set skincare and, well, pretty much everything else they make since I want to try it on myself first :) I will never put anything else on my skin!
So @KatieEl the best mascara I've ever tried is MK's Ultimate Mascara. Even if I didn't sell it, it'd be the only one I use. It gives such voluminous long lashes and it doesn't flake. I am SUCH a picky mascara wearer and I've tried all of the drugstore brands and now I don't even need to curl my lashes anymore. Sold for life. Also, I love your routine - taking care of your skin will seriously pay off and your future self will thank you for it!
  • @loveinDC I use the Mario Badescu rose something or other face spray (I think he only has one kind so it should be easy to find) that's $8 a bottle and it's AMAZING. Smells so good, and so cheap. I've only ever purchases makeup online from stores that I know will take returns (Sephora, Nordstrom) so that I don't have to worry if I hate it

@katieel my favorite mascaras are the ones you listed that you don't like, so I won't offer you any suggestions, haha

I tend to buy most of my stuff from Nordstrom, with a little bit from Sephora and Ulta. I've recently started dipping into the really high end stuff (Chanel, Burberry) and it's dangerous, dangerous road. But I try to only buy things that don't get used up quickly (blushes, eye palettes, brushes) and not everyday stuff like concealers or CC creams. However, the best damn CC cream for dry skin out there is the Dior Hydralife and it's so expensive it hurts.

My absolute favorite eye palette out there for anyone who hasn't tried it yet is the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol 1. It has the best colors that blend so easily.

What's everyone's favorite liquid eyeliner? I'm using the Kat Von D tattoo liner right now and I really like the pen applicator, but I feel like it's drying really fast.

  • This is such an awesome thread and I agree it's been so slow around here recently!!

My current cosmetics of choice are the Itcosmetics CC Cream and the Airbrush Perfecting powder. I really like the Itcosmetics line because the foundation has SPF 20 in it so I don't have to worry much about putting screen on my face. The only issue I have been having is that I have oily skin and I notice the powder starts to get really concentrated on my forhead midday to the point I have to wipe it off because you can see it building up. I've never had that happen with any other foundation so idk what the deal is?

One item I am OBSESSED with and have been using for a few years now is my Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil. I don't think I will ever use something else.

I use a few different bronzers depending on how I am feeling. My go to right now is by Estee Lauder but I also really like NARS and I have one by Too Faced which has a pink tint in it which is really pretty.

NARS blush color "Orgasam" is really the only blush color I use.

I used to use Urban Decay's Mascara Perversion which I did really like but I didn't LOVE. I don't think I have ever found a mascara I'm super into BUT I did just recently start using this new product by Rodan & Fields called Lash Boost and it's absolutely unbelievable. It's a serm that you put on your eyelashes at night to get them to grow longer. I have been using it since the beginning of January and the results are Cray Cray (see spoiler). Also- this pic is from a few weeks ago. They have gotten longer since then.

@LoveinDC this is a great idea! I would totally be on board with this becoming a recurring thing because I am always looking for good products! For your setting spray question, I bought the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray for my wedding. It worked great but my make up artist told me that a spritz of hairspray over your makeup will do the same thing. Since I had already bought it, I used it but I probably won't buy it again. I do still get raccoon eyes from time to time.

I love the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. I have Naked2 and Naked Basics. They are all I use anymore. I also love Bobby Brown's Illuminating Brick in Coral. It's the perfect natural flush for my skin. I use it everyday, even if I'm not wearing any other makeup. For eyeliner I use Ulta brand Automatic eyeliner in either Chocolate or Bronze. If I'm feeling fancy, I use Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Max Brown. @hartmich, I feel like it dries up quick also. Mine is a (relatively large) sample size. I'm not sure if the dryness is by design or not though.

I can't recall my mascara of the top of my head, I just know what the tubes look like lol! But I know they are Maybelliene (maybe Cover Girl?).

For lips, I usually bounce around between plain ol Chapstick, Bobby Brown lipstick in Beige, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain in Adore (so old idk if they even make that anymore) or Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve. For a night out, I love Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Curella. It's super red, but really flattering, which is hard to find!

Foundation is where things get tricky for me. I use Laura Mercier primer in Radiance and I love it. Lately it is all I wear on my face because I hate my foundation. I feel like it looks like stage make up. My skin is super dry but rather than sucking up this foundation, it just sits on top of my skin. I'm in the market for some new stuff!

Anyone out there have any good acne systems they use? I was seeing a dermatologist and on all kinds of prescription treatments but since none of them are safe while TTC/KU, my gyn told me to stop. I'm using Juice Beauty right now, but it's not strong enough at all.

@kayleV0430 I have actually heard the same thing about Preparation-H I think lol!

  • @SoldiersMom I use Murad Anti Acne/Aging and I really like it. It does have salicylic acid in it but one of the Drs. I work with told me it's not enough to cause any problems when TTC, at least not in terms of what research has proven.
  • This is a great thread idea, @LoveInDC! The boards have been slow lately so I think that these GTKY threads are a great way for more people to dive in.

For makeup, I'm the type to wear the same things day in and day out. In high school I was obsessed with Urban Decay, Stila, and trying out new looks but not so much these days. Current staples in my routine include Lancome's Teint Idole foundation (they are the only brand I've found with shades light enough for my skin tone, NARS blushes, and MAC lipsticks (Hot Gossip is the shade I frequent most). I really am in need of good eye makeup recommendations, though and @hartmich  I will be definitely looking into that palette you mentioned. And yes, I had a deluxe sample of Dior Hydralife through a VIB reward and was so spoiled by it. That stuff is great.

Other products I love include Kate Somerville ExfoliKate (I've followed this up with some basic Pore cleansing strips and had amazing results when normally those strips do not work for me) and Living Proof hair styling products in general (more specifically their No Frizz Nourishing Cream and Satin Hair Serum which do wonders for my curly hair).

Can anyone recommend an awesome primer? Preferably one that is friendly to sensitive and sometimes dry skin?
  • @LoveinDC I love the Tartelette in Bloom palette, such a good one.  I like Porefessional a lot, but my favorite primer right now is, hands down, the Becca Backlight Filter Face Primer.  I also have the Guerlain L’or Pure Radiance Face Primer, which is really nice, albeit pricey; so in that sense I’m not sure it’s worth the cost. My favorite setting spray is the Mac Fix+ (I also like the Makeup Forever setting spray and the UD All Nighter spray, but the Mac spray is the one I always come back to. I pretty much buy all my makeup online, mostly at Sephora which has a good return policy.  I really want some Makeup Geek stuff but I haven’t bitten the bullet there yet.  I have purchased from ColourPop and, for me, the color payoff on the lip is a lot different than it looks in the bottle on the monitor.  Luckily they’re stuff isn’t super pricey, so it’s an annoyance more than devastation if I gambled wrong.

@TravelingCouple mascara that flakes is my biggest pet peeve, so annoying.

@hartmich isn’t it so funny how personal mascara especially is? All my friends RAVE about Better than Sex, but I could just not get it to work for me.  Hoping you get some good liner recs, I’ve been using Kat Von D too, and, like you, I’m not fully sold.

@JJMNO1616 OMG your lashes are bananas! That’s amazing!

@SoldiersMom incase it wasn’t clear above, I really love the Drunk Elephant line.  It’s formulated for all skin types and since I’ve started using it, my skin is the best it’s ever been, I haven’t had a blemish in months.

  • @KatieEl I used the Drunk Elephant Marula Oil and their T.L.C serum last summer before my wedding and I loved it. You're right, my skin looked great. The cost though....phew it was high. I guess I have to figure if the price is too high for the amount of product you actually get vs. use. Or shop around for deals.
@JJMNO1616 I totally forgot about Murad. I used to use that too and I think I had luck with it. I've used so much over the years it all blurs.

  • @hartmich Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll do some scouring and see if I can find it. I totally need to find a liquid eyeliner too, so thanks for raising the question :)

@JJMNO1616 Those lashes!!! What’s the price point on that? I wanted to try the Brow Wiz, but I got hooked on Benefit’s Precisely My Brow. Have you tried it? I heard they’re similar in concept and feel.

@SoildersMom It’s awesome that there’s such enthusiasm for this thread! Maybe we make it a monthly? It gives everyone a chance to try some new things and for newbies to find it and join in? What do you use to apply your foundation? I was a brush girl forever, but I bought a Real Techniques makeup sponge and it works so much better. A dampened sponge takes away the cake-factor by really getting it into the skin and adds some hydration too. I have acne, but I found a balanced skin routine is the start of everything. If your skin is healthy and you’re still getting acne, that’s when you start looking for acne treatments.

@KatieEl I was thinking of trying a Becca primer! I’ve heard good things. I also heard good things about all those setting sprays. I just can’t seem to bite the bullet! Gah, that’s why I’m afraid to gamble! I’m so particular about color and my skin tone isn’t very common. I see a color on someone that I love, and it just looks so bad on me. That messes me up enough. But finding a color that looks right, but takes a turn last minute? That’s enough to kill all my ColourPop and Makeup Geek dreams.

  • This is a fun thread!

@kaylev0430 Maybelline great lash has been my go-to mascara since high school. Love it! I've also tried some of the pricier brands and always go back. I like it in brownish black with the curved brush. I've got green eyes so, if I line my inner eye with brown liner, it really makes the color pop I think.

@JJMNO1616 Your lashes are amazing! They really do look like lash extensions! What the heck is in that stuff?!

I don't wear makeup regularly, but I do have a solid lineup of favorite products for when I do. My favorites are: Clinique airbrush concealer where needed
    Tarte cheek stain in Flush
    bareMinerals mineral veil
    Maybelline great lash mascara
I usually save the liner for special occasions. I also curl my lashes with a metal lash curler that I heat up with my blow dryer first.

Right now my skincare is Proactiv, but I'm thinking about cancelling since I'm not sure it's as appropriate for my 30s skin as it was for my 20s skin.

@KatieEl I'm definitely going to check out the serums that you mentioned. Your routine sounds like what I'm kind of leaning towards starting.
For any other ladies who are up on serums- I'm thinking of starting in on some of that action. I was thinking vitamin C for day and maybe also some niacinamide and hyaluronic acid in there somehow, like at night? Do any of you have any opinions on serum contents?

  • @LoveInDC I want to say I paied like $160 for it? It is pricy but I feel like the results are worth it and I mean, it lasts until your lashes naturally fall out. So it's not something you have to pay too frequently to maintain or anything.

@kbamomma33 I have no idea but I did show the ingredients to a Doctor I work with and he confirmed that there aren't any hormones in it and it's safe for people with blue eyes. There is another product like this called latice that you have to get a prescription for in order to use and the biggest problem is it can change eye color. Lash Boost doesn't do that though.

  • @breezybee did you remortgage your house???? :)
  • Haha @cdnrunning No, I had a huge stockpile of gift cards from Christmas and returns etc. The small La Mer things were a gift because I bought the big thing. I welcome all free La Mer products!
  • @BreezyBee I've never used La Mer. What products are they known for?
  • I got a liquid eyeliner sample in a cyber Monday gift bag with purchase deal from Ulta...it's Eyeko London Eye do liquid eyeliner (https://www.ulta.com/eye-do-liquid-eyeliner?productId=xlsImpprod12051089)
love how it goes on and stays on!

I'm no makeup junkie-I do a revlon pencil eye liner daily for work and on weekends I'll add some urban decay or Ulta palette eyeshadow into the mix with a L'Oréal mascara.
I did screen shot a bunch of your responses though, tomorrow if I get free time at work I may be purchasing a few items to step up my game!

  • @JJMNO1616 They're known for skincare products.  And they're all effing amazing. I use this  stuff called The Concentrate, which was originally made for burn victims.  It's a gel serum. It's great for acne scars and uneven skin tone.  Completely life changing and I can't live without it. Unfortunately, it costs an arm and a freaking leg, but a little goes a long way.  They've also got an amazing moisturizer called Creme de la Mer and that stuff is hands down the best I've ever used. But I can't afford all of those things, so I do the concentrate with a little Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizer :). I love that stuff!
  • @BreezyBee WOW you weren't kidding when you said it costs an arm and a leg... don't think I'll be trying that brand anytime soon but maybe someday I'll go for it when I really want to splurge!
  • @JJMNO1616 Go to the counter and ask for free samples!  I do it alllllll the time and stock up for travel/etc.  Haha but I'm a total weirdo who has no shame.
  • I'll play, but my makeup game is pretty weak. It comes down to being a little lazy, but really a lack of confidence in my ability to actually apply makeup.
Makeup: bareMinerals, for everything. Foundation, mineral veil, concealer, even the eye shadow, and lip gloss. I seriously struggle to go outside of my comfort zone here. Some of the thing y'all mentioned are like Greek to me!
I am use the Maybelline great lash mascara like @kbamomma33 & @kaylev0430
But I also use Clinique high impact mascara. Lip wise, I use aquafor and whatever lip gloss is in my bag at the time.

skin care: I have really sensitive skin and a lot of products are really harsh/make me break out. So I use cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. In the summer, or if I know I'm going to be outside for an extended period of time, I use the Kiehls moisturizer w/SPF 30. And every other night I use the kiehls copper under eye cream.

So, makeup gurus, what would you guys suggest for a makeup novice to invest in/get started with in terms of basic everyday makeup? (I should add that I value my sleep more than anything and often don't wear makeup because I'd rather stay in bed)

  • @Avrilmai Amen to more sleep! I rarely wear anything other than mascara!
  • @Avrilmai There's no shame in being a makeup newbie! Heck, I was in your shoes less than a year ago. I was terrified every skin care product was going to ruin my skin and had no idea where to start in a place like Sephora.

What I did was do a makeover at Sephora. The makeover is "free" with the caveat that you have to buy $50 of product afterwards (which, let's be real, is like 2 things, plus they have a ton of high end skin care if you just don't want to get makeup). Tell your person you're going for something subtle, quick, everyday, with an emphasis on no irritants. Then buy what strikes your fancy.

You can also start watching Youtubers. KathleenLights is a great intro into the beauty world. She also has a lot of subtle makeup tutorials and a good balance of high end and drug store products.

If you're looking for fast, I'd at least find a mascara you love, a tinted moisturizer/BB/CC cream, a concealer, a blush, a tinted lip balm/lipstick/gloss, and maybe a brow pencil depending on how you feel about your brows. Cover FX has these Cover Drops that you can add to your existing creams to add coverage if that interests you.

I will say there is no shame in being a no makeup girl. My sister is that way. Having mascara on is a full face in her book. She wore some eye shadow to my wedding and my jaw hit the floor. To each their own!
  • Ok, I was really reluctant to post here since I really do not wear much makeup at all. My daily routine pretty much just consists of concealer, powder, a little bit of blush (since I am pale AF), and mascara, and I am cheap as hell so all my stuff comes from the drugstore. However, I do have a question!! I always have really dark under-eye circles, and I have been on a search for years to find something to help cover them up. Does anyone else have this problem, and if so what do you use?

  • @Pinky917 You should try the Itcosmetics CC undereye creme! They sell it at Ulta. You just apply it before you put your powder on. It's awesome.
  • @Pinky917 There are 2 main ways to deal with dark circles (I have them in spades). You can try treating the circles using creams, serums, and drinking more water. If you're like me and none of that works, you can try different concealers until you find a fit. As @JJMNO1616 mentioned, It Cosmetic's Bye Bye Undereye is super popular (they also have an illumination version if you're not a fan of matte finishes). Another popular concealer right now is Tarte's Shape Tape, which I haven't had the chance to try, but I heard it's amazing. Both are available at Ulta :)
  • @LoveInDC I also use the Real Techniques makeup sponge, dampened as well. I try to clean it once a week (depending on how many time I actually use it) and replace every 6 weeks or so. I just think my skin changes so often that when I chose this particular foundation it worked, but now it doesn't. It also could be that I chose it on my own and probably should have gotten some help from someone at Sephora. Same with my acne sitch. When I was on some form of BC, I would get cystic acne around AF time. But that was really it. Just one big eruption which was a pain but easily concealed. Since having my IUD out and stopping prescriptions, I am getting the cystic type less frequently but now I have of acne that I've never had before. It's small and under the skin. You can't really see it if you look straight on at my face, but when the light hits it the right way you can seen the tiny bumps. It's actually more frustrating than the cystic. I totally agree that a balanced routine is the best place to start. I can just never predict how my skin will change or react to each season.

@BreezyBee I'm so jealous of your haul!

  • @LoveInDC I have tried so many different creams and serums over the years, but nothing has really seemed to help much. At this point I have come to terms with the fact that these circles are with me for life ha ha.

Thanks ladies, looks like I have some research to do now!

  • @pinky917 I have really bad dark circles. I've started color correcting under my concealer to cover them up. I use a lilac colored cream (I got it at Sephora, it's their brand) because my skin tends towards sallow. My friend's dark circles are more blue so she uses an orange colored cream instead.

  • Let's talk shadow primer! What do you love?  Using the Urban Decay stuff now, and I'm not a fan. Feels like it makes my shadow super clumpy.

  • @KatieEl I got a sample of that in my Sephora box this month. I've only used it for my burlesque show, and I think it worked fine. However I usually just used Benefit's the Porefessional on my eyelids and it's always worked for me.

  • @jsnakehole never thought to try porefessional, but I have some, so I will, thanks!  It's actually not so much that it gets clumpy, is that I feel like my application of the UD primer is too heavy handed or something, so it just feels thick (doesn't look thick).  I don't know if I'm explaining it well, probably not lol.  A texture thing.
