You can express your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations on not TTC and connect with others who are in the same boat. TTC can be a long journey, and having to wait makes it feel even longer -- even if it is for a good reason. I invite you to resurrect this thread at any point in the week if you have something to say. Treat this like an ongoing conversation.

Benched = involuntarily not NTNP/TTC and "out of the game," usually due to medical reasons
TTA = avoiding pregnancy by using protection or FAM, usually for non-health-related reasons __________________________________________________________________

    What brings you here? DH and I have been throwing around the idea of having another one.

    How long do you think you'll be here? Hopefully not past June

    How have things been going? Fine, sometimes I think we are 100% going forward then sometimes DH gets weird and assume this is it he is freaking out.

    Any R/R? Just ranting that DH brings up another kid then freaks out about it.

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? Italy w/ the hubs.

    @fishee333 Is your DD feeling better?
    @glitzandglitter How is getting back to the grind after spring break?

    Sorry I had to post and run earlier! I had a meeting for the first half of my day and I had no signal :( I then had to spend my afternoon in professional development and people were sitting too close so no bumping. 
    @livingthedream - it has been so crazy this week! I love/hate that - makes me tired but also makes the week go by faster.

    What brings you here? Just waiting :/ DH's timeline and mine did not match up. I was ready last year, he was not. Also, now I am in grad school so I need a date after December for that.

    How long do you think you'll be here? I am thinking May but really it depends on DH. I really don't think he'd go for any sooner than May though..

    How have things been going? Ok. Sometimes I get worried that DH will change his mind.

    Any R/R? DH really doesn't get it so it is really hard to talk to him. Plus I don't want him to feel pressured. I just wish he was more into talking about the what ifs with me (timeframe, potential due dates, etc.)

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? I think the best was when we went on a family vacation to the beach. It was so relaxing and the boys had a blast.

    @LivingTheDream and @glitzandglitter - I completely understand how frustrating it is when you are ready but DH is on the fence. It really helped my DH and I to sit down and seriously talk about what month we were going to TTC, that way he has time to prepare and I have a realistic timeline. I know this wouldn't work for everyone, but it worked for us.

    How long do you think you'll be here? Until the end of April. 

    How have things been going? Better, DD is back to sleeping all night, but DH and I both have colds. 

    Any R/R? Raves - I can't believe it's almost April! It feels like I've been waiting forever for this month!

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? The best trip was when my DH (BF at the time) went to Europe.

    @ChloandCoco I totally agree, just picking a date has been a big help to my H. He def wants kids and has no problem talking about the "when we have kids..." stuff but the thought of actually actively trying still freaks him out a bit, I think. Ever since we've set a definite date he doesn't seem as freaked. Every once in a while I'll be like, "so...2 months, huh??" And he will take a really deep breath and be like, "...yes. whoa. 2 months. Ok" haha.

    How long do you think you'll be here? Ditching the BC in early May

    How have things been going? Fine! The next month is looking pretty busy so I'm thinking time is going to fly.

    Any R/R? Rant: I want to lose some weight but I'm eating chips and dip for dinner.  Rave: I'm eating chips and dip for dinner!!!

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? Ireland with H... can I go back right now?

    What brings you here? Waiting for my
    husband to be ready. 

    How long do you think you'll be here? I'm really hoping just a couple months. 

    How have things been going? Had a good week. Been on a work trip and have enjoyed the distraction but am sick and flying home with congestion was the 7th level of hell. 

    Any R/R? Between HP world and the open bar at our conference dinner, it was nice to not be pregnant this week  :#

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? My favorite trip was a family vacation to Yellowstone when I was a kid. It was amazing.

    @UterusesBeforeDuderuses I'm with you on the losing weight thing...*TW-death* my Hs best friends cousin was killed in a motorcycle accident yesterday, so he went over to visit with the family since he's practically another member. *End TW* So we ordered pizza since he wasn't home to cook dinner (and I get home too late to cook, it'd be DS bedtime before it was done if I cooked).

    Not too bad! I'm wondering if I had a bit of PPD or if it was just regular depression, but I've been feeling better this week in general. And it wasn't bad, just a general down feeling and not really wanting to do anything. I'm doing much better now though.

    No R/R

    Hmm...Im going to say Vegas. My cousins got married there, and my mom was able to pay for a room and plane tickets for DH and I, so we got to go! DH and I splurged and went to the Eiffel Tower restaurant (with a 3 month old...) and it was wonderful. Plus I got to see my favorite cousin get married to the perfect woman for him :)

    Are you benched or TTA? Well, I guess technically neither, but I'd say benched for now due to vaccines and thyroid levels.

    What brings you here? Timing. I don't want to have my FET during the school year, so we are (im)patiently waiting until the end of May.

    How long do you think you'll be here? Oops. I answered that up there. End of May/beginning of June

    How have things been going? Meh, things are good. My best friend is getting ready to do her first IUI, so it is exciting to have someone so close to me that I can talk about hormones with. Ha! I started my thyroid medicine yesterday, so we will see how I adjust to it. So far, I feel like I am on crack. Literally woke up at 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep, then was like the Energizer bunny when I got to work. Not sure what's going on there.

    Any R/R? Not TTC related in any way. BUT! Ugh. Why can my students not pass a vocabulary quiz, WITH their definitions? I mean, it seems like it would be easy enough since the answers are RIGHT THERE, yet they fail it still. Seriously?!?!

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? Anywhere that involves white sand and blue waters. DW and I went to SPI this summer (as close as we get to white sand/blue waters in TX) and it was wonderful. I could spend days and days at the beach, just reading a book under my umbrella. Sigh. Now I'm really dreaming of summer...

    @glitzandglitter: I always want to ask them to move. I mean, I understand sometimes, but it is the worst when people are so close you can't move, or entertain yourself..ha!

    @LivingTheDream Thanks for asking! It's been a rough little bit but she's finally feeling better! Also, I can totally relate to DH being ready and then all of a sudden freaking out about it. 

    Are you benched or TTA? Not avoiding, but I haven't gotten my period back since I'm still breastfeeding

    What brings you here? Waiting til my body gives me the go ahead! I think DH is pretty much ready at this point!! 

    How long do you think you'll be here? Hopefully May. My goal is to wean by mother's day, so hopefully I'll start ovulating again around then too!

    How have things been going? It's been stressful. On top of DD having an ear infection, work has been super busy (I'm putting on a conference for 100 people this weekend). I can't wait til next week when it's over! 

    Any R/R? I never want to be in charge of putting on a conference ever again. Too much to rant about, so I'll just leave it at that. 

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? Our honeymoon to Thailand for sure! It was soooooo beautiful and relaxing.

    How have things been going? Going okay.  Weight loss has been slower than I'd like, but I'm on a new thyroid prescription so things should be going in the right direction very soon.

    Any R/R?  Current rant is that DD has started waking up once in the middle of the night almost every night.  She's been a through the night sleeper since about 6 months, so we are having a rough time adjusting!  She has some fluid in her ears and just started a low dose antibiotic, so hopefully that is the culprit and we can all get some sleep again!

    GTKY: What was the best trip/vacation you've been on? My husband and I eloped in Scotland and then stayed there two weeks for our honeymoon.  It was magical.  I really want to go back on our 10 year anniversary and bring the kid(s) with us.
