2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Mostly good, but it's been over a week since my last u/s and I'm getting nervous again. Considering buying a Doppler.
3) When is your next appointment? Monday U/S and panorama blood draw.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions Do you ladies like the format of this check-in? Any suggestions?
5) GTKY: Team finding out or team green? Finding out! We can't wait.
Hey ladies! I'm back after a long run of shifts and our guests in town heading home.
@bluejeanbabi05 I was lent a Doppler by a friend who now needs it back soon. I was one of the weird ones who found the HB pretty early and it's been such a reassurance for me on the days when I've needed it since. Definitely will be buying one when I give this one back. I hope you find reassurance with it if you choose to go that route ❤
Also, re: your question about the format, I do like it as is but I guess my confession is that I wish I would intentionally come back and engage more with you ladies. I guess comment/converse more and ask more questions as this group within this board holds a special place in my heart. But that's 100% me and not the check-in format.
1) How far along are you? 10+5
2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Physically still on/off MS but able to eat well, hips have surpassed nips in soreness, still tired but feeling a little more energetic. Emotionally I'm doing okay right now.
3) When is your next appointment? Yesterday H and I got to see baby and his/her little heart flicker on US! Next appt is at 13+4.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions: It's just H and I again, I slept 10 hours last night, and I'm getting myself sushi for lunch.
5) GTKY: Team finding out or team green? I want to be team green and MH wanted to find out like last week so we are compromising on finding out at the AS.

@bluejeanbabi05Ahhh your appointment will be here before you know it! I hate waiting , and am considering a doppler as well. When do you find out if pink/blue? I like the format, it is similar to the 1st trimester thread on PAIF. I think as long as we keep it weekly and add keep the QOTD fun then its perfect!
1) How far along are you? 9w6d
2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? Pretty relaxed lately! I'm allowed to stop my estrogen patches and progesterone suppositories tomorrow, so I'm pretty excited! Might wait a few days though.
3) When is your next appointment? March 31st. I'm hoping to get an abdominal ultrasound instead of a vaginal one. The last vaginal one I had, made my uterus look like a penis because I was gassy, so I want one that doesn't remind people of mens genitalia.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions I'm just ready to share with everyone on social media. My MIL is having a really hard time not putting it on FB and I feel like she is going to announce it before I get a chance to, so I think we will announce after our 11 week appointment.

@virginiaham I hear you, it can be hard to remember to go back and interact! Hell, I have a hard time remembering to post this check-in, lol. I agree that I love this thread as I feel very closely linked to everyone here. I'm so glad you and DH are alone again! Having guests is EXHAUSTING. Having to be "on" all the time. And to seeing that hb yesterday.
@ChocolateIsLife We are having the panorama test Monday, so we will probably find out a week or so later! Woohoo to stopping the progesterone. They're fun and all but not exactly glamorous, haha. Actually none of pregnancy is glamorous. I find myself discussing my bodily functions far more than I have ever done.
Me too on the social media. I'm debating how I want to do it. I really don't want anything ostentatious or cheesy, just low-key and cute. Do you have ideas on how you will announce?
Oo also my best friend is 25 weeks and doesn't need her Doppler anymore, so she's giving it to me!! I'm picking it up tonight! *realistic expectations, bluejeanbabi, realistic expectations*
@ChocolateIsLife hooray for stopping the estrogen and progesterone! Will they have you taper or monitor your levels over the next few weeks?
@bluejeanbabi05 ahhh yay! I'm spoiler boxing my (very little) wisdom from when I worked antepartum just in case any of it is helpful!
Check your pulse first so you know about how fast it is since you may your own pulse first with the Doppler. It'll be MUCH slower than baby's. Aloe Vera gel works great if your friend doesn't have any US gel. Start low on your abdomen, around where your pubic hair line is and start at a 90 deg angle to your abd or maybe tilt the handle toward your head so the beam of the Doppler "flashlight" is pointed closer toward your pelvis. Try keeping it in the same place and slooowly rocking just the handle up and down, side to side and diagonally until you detect something. GL I hope you can find it quickly!!

hi everyone! I've been looking for this check in so i could join u guys. We used donor eggs with dh sperm and am currently pg w twins, which was a huge shock to us since we had a scan a week earlier that only showed 1 sac. We also have a 2yr old dd.
1) How far along are you? 8w 2d
2) How are you feeling physically and emotionally? ok - just tired on most days
3) When is your next appointment? 3/30 with my ob. Can't wait since ill see these guys then.
4) Rants/Raves/Questions. ive noticed that my heart is beating pretty hard lately. Is that a sign of high blood pressure? Im trying to eat better, walk more, and be a bit healthier in case it is so i can keep it under control. I'm really trying to make it to my ob appt w.o changing the day and time. My ob is so busy, so the day and time works out well for me and dh. And this will be the first time he sees em!
5) GTKY: Team finding out or team green? i don't do well with waiting. I asked for the martenti21 test last week but i had to wait till 10 - boo! Anyway, 2 more weeks left!
@bluejeanbabi05 - if u dont find the hb, dont freak out. I could never find it with my last pg! Also, i like this format too. Thanks for posting it!
@ChocolateIsLife - congrats on stopping the meds! I know im counting down the days!
@hopeby2015 Welcome and wow!! Congrats on twins!! Scary and exciting
I've experienced a fast hb a lot lately too. I think for me it's primarily due to anxiety. I notice it most at night when I'm trying (often unsuccessfully) to sleep. My BP pre-pregnancy was always perfect, but now it's right on the verge every time I go in. They don't seem concerned, though.
Me: 31 DH:35 TTC #1: March 2011 Fur-children: 3 dogs + 2 cats (all rescued) dx: Endometriosis and Fibroids 2 Laps and 1 Abdominal Myomectomy 6 rounds of clomid 5 rounds of iui IVF #1 Gonal F, Menopur and Cetrotide ER 12/1/2016:Retrieved 22 eggs 12 fertilized, developed moderate OHSS 4/4 day 5 embryos were normal for PGS!!! 2 boys/2 girls FET 1/10/2017 Gallbladder surgery 1/10/2017 FET 2/2 BFP 2/7/17 Beta#1: 594!!! @hopeby2015 welcome and congrats on your twins!!! It's normal to see an increased pulse rate in pregnancy due to the increasing circulating blood volume that your heart is trying to keep up with. If it's feeling like palpitations in your chest I'd mention it to your OB (and she'll check your BP anyway), but a faster rate on its own is expected.

4) Rants/Raves/Questions my re had me stop my progesterone this week and I was a nervous wreck. She had me come back today to recheck my levels and all was good it was still at 31. I kinda want to go in and have it checked again but I'll restrain myself as long as the spotting stays at bay. I was spotting so much everyday on the progesterone that I thought about buying adult diapers. It was awful. Now I am feeling more like a human which is a huge rave!
5) GTKY: Team finding out or team green? Green it is but my re blurted out at my graduation appt that she thinks it's boy. Just a guess but what the heck. Haha
ETA: I had pretty strong cramps coming off the progesterone. Anyone else experience that?
@brela11 hey girl! I get cramping pretty much anytime I take the PG later than usual. My midwife even warned me in anticipation of weaning off of it in the next few weeks that I could have some worsening cramping. She wanted me to titrate coming off of it for that reason and keep rechecking my levels. I think it's totally reasonable to ask to have it checked again, esp if you went off cold turkey. *hugs* I still hate cramping and I'm sorry you're still dealing with the spotting. FX that stays calmed down.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party. @bluejeanbabi05 I've been using my borrowed doppler since 9w, and I'm about to use it again lol. Totally recommend.
