I went for an ultrasound today at 11.5 weeks for peace of mind as I've had a little spotting. She told me that it looks like my placenta is over my cervix right now. That absolutely terrifies me. I read about it and it looks like they don't give it much attention until the third trimester b/c it has a good chance of moving. But I just SO want this pregnancy to go smoothly with little worry and it's not panning out that way so far. :( Chasing a 2 year old around and being worried about this pregnancy is totally taking it ALL OUT OF ME. I guess I just needed to vent.

    @kstirton Is it partial previa or complete? If it's only partial (and I know it's hard to do) try not to worry. My sister had a partial with my niece and it moved nicely out of the way and she was still able to have a vaginal delivery.

    My SIL had a partial placenta previa and although had some spotting throughout her pregnancy, she had a healthy baby boy at full term. Try and take deep breaths, and if you're ever worried always know you can call your doctor. Good luck to you xoxo

    When I had my 20 week ultrasound with my son, it was partially blocking. They did another ultrasound around 32 weeks to make sure it had moved. It did and I was able to have a vaginal delivery. You're still very early on and have plenty of time for it to move. Good luck and try not to worry!

    I had partial at my 20 week, too. They did another ultrasound at 32 weeks and it had completely moved out of the way.

     I also had a partial with my last pregnancy, it cleared up on its own by week 16.

    I'm sorry you had this discovery and that it is worrying you. I think many of us would worry. Let's hope your placenta moves into a better spot! FX
