Starting to show more and more people are asking if I'm pregnant

GTKY: What was your first job?
I worked during the summer doing maintenance work at a middle school. I was essentially a janitor. Not the greatest job, but being 16 and getting 40 hours a week was great to me.

Upcoming appointments this week? A/S this FRIDAY! I feel like I've been writing about this upcoming appointment for weeks and now it's finally here!

Any new symptoms or changes? I've been having to pee so much lately. Also some nice lightening crotch going on. Finally feeling some little kicks! I'm curious to see if I have an anterior placenta or not.. I've definitely felt what I believe are kicks, but wonder if they could/should be stronger.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: I have a work conference next week that I have to look somewhat nice for.. and none of my clothes fit. I got a few maternity shirts and pants, but they're not formal enough for this event ugh. I'm ready for summer where I can throw on a dress and flats and look presentable. Rave: Halfway through this pregnancy today! I don't know how I feel about that...part of me is excited to be that much closer to meeting LO, but the other half is scared that I have so much left to do.

GTKY: What was your first job? I was an intern at a non-profit law firm that focused on children's law. It was such a cool experience - my aunt works there, so I got to shadow her at court and see some pretty interesting cases. It was also really sad...the lawyers there represent children in family court cases. Since it's a non-profit in a pretty rough area, there are a lot of poor families or parents using drugs, alcohol, etc.. sometimes the choice of having the kids go with mom or dad was heartbreaking, since they were both awful parents. You didn't want them to go with either!

@secicc12 Twins!!! Yayy!! We're finally half way! My doctor was telling me everyone complains that the first half of pregnancy feels like 4 weeks and the second half feels like 4 years!!!

Officially halfway there, but know at most I only have 19 weeks left dues to scheduled c/s.

Any new symptoms or changes? Heartburn is creeping in. Was hoping to have more time to eat all the spicy goodness. Love that I am feeling baby more each day. Braxton Hicks.

Any idea which type of anesthesia has less chance of giving a spinal headache? Starting to freak already. Had a spinal headache years ago after a spinal tap, now panic when I think of needles. OB said spinal needle was smaller than epidural needle so less chance. An OB nurse told me epidural needle since it's not in as far. Google says both too....

Rant: I still have the lingering sinus congestion from last week's cold, and all I want to do is take phenylephrine and feel better right now.
Rave: My skin has been clearing up nicely! Even my KP is looking so so much better.
GTKY: What was your first job?
I worked in an old fashioned soda fountain all through high school with my best friend (who I just found out is ALSO pregnant!)

I've been really emotional lately that my daughter is growing up and will soon have to share her parents. Last night she said goodnight to me (as she does every night) and I started bawling.

GTKY: What was your first job? My grandparents owned a traveling concession business. We sold cheese curds, corn dogs, tator ribbon fries. Basically I was a carny rat. But I tell you what I miss those days more than anything. My grandparents paid me way more than I was worth and it was SO fun and we traveled ALL over.

Upcoming appointments this week? I don't have an appointment but I had my repeat AFP drawn Monday, so I'm waiting to hear back - hopefully by the end of the week like last time.

Any new symptoms or changes?
My husband is amazed how big my belly is getting. Otherwise I feel like I have a lump in my throat after i eat which is kinda annoying, kinda weird.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
I have been waking up with back pain at night, so I bought a snoogle. Only problem is it makes me so hot.
I also bought today two glider/rocker/recliners for the nursery. They are so expensive, but i figure DH and I will be spending lots of time in them. Once I sat in it I was sold! DH will probably rant about the expense but I know he'll be snoring away in them in no time.

GTKY: What was your first job? Ugh. I worked in a orthodontist office. I hated every second of it. it was gross and they were not very nice to me at 16. I think the workers were annoyed to have a young kid working there. Thankfully, I can say as adult, I love my current job. Still in healthcare, but not anything to do with teeth.

@Lauradi1010 - I didn't have any headaches that I can remember and I had an epidural AND a spinal. But after a c section you also get some pretty good pain meds. I'm hoping I won't get any this time either. The one thing with a c section spinal I wasn't expecting was I shook - a lot. As in DH came in the room and thought I was having a seizure. Also normal apparently.

I've started to feel slight lightning crotch so it makes me a bit nervous that the real lightning crotch will be super bad this time

I think winter is finally over! Also DH has been doing the dishes every night without me even asking (normally we take turns)

GTKY: What was your first job?
Babysitting for like $2 an hour and then I was a lifeguard throughout most of highschool. But not the fun life guarding that you imagine on a beach. This was mostly open-swim lifeguarding in a pool with 75 screaming kids. I did enjoy doing swim lessons for the toddlers though.

My first was a C-section and I shook as well. That one was an epidural though, which seemed like a great idea when the labor pain got rough. No spinal headache with that. Just some shaking and lots of nausea. It's hard not to be paranoid after such a bad experience 6 years ago

@Lauradi1010 You shouldn't get a spinal headache with an epidural unless there is a "wet tap" which is when the needle pierces the covering over the spinal fluid. (Epidurals don't normally pierce that covering over the spinal fluid.) Your anesthesiologist can usually tell if there is a "wet tap." If you get a "wet tap," you are more likely to get a spinal headache when compared to a spinal because the epidural needle is bigger. However, a spinal always pierces the covering over the spinal fluid, but the hole is much smaller so less fluid leaks out. I hope that explanation helps make sense of why you have heard multiple answers. (Also, spinal needles come in different types and sizes which effect odds of getting a spinal headache. Your anesthesiologist should be able to explain it better.)

My back pain is getting significantly worse. Also, if I sit for too long, my back freezes up and then I have trouble moving.

I love feeling baby move. It might be the only part of pregnancy that I love. Otherwise, I feel like my body is falling apart.

GTKY: What was your first job?

I can't remember my first job because I had three different jobs in high school at the same time, and I can't remember which one I had first. I worked in retail, at a restaurant, and for a catering service. I was definitely motivated to save money for college and to have spending money for when I hung out with my friends.
