I think the maintenance guy at work is a TW. The door to our counter is messed up and every time he fixes it, it gets more and more messed up. Well he overheard me talking to LP about it since we have an audit coming up and if the door isn't fixed, we will get hit for it. Well he decides and is insistent that he will fix it. Now we have to decide how to fix his fixing it.....

My sister, she think my DD can ride in booster seat with a belt. Technically she can, she meets all height and weight requirements but I don't want her to. Little did I know she let her sit in it AFTER I told her DD couldn't ride in it. She justified it bc her little boy has been riding in since last year when he was 3. Age matters to her, not height and weight. She cares nothing about carseat saftey, but I do and that's my kid and what I say goes. DD won't be riding anywhere with her anymore.

@MrsLa3 - That would piss me off!! I agree my LO would NOT be in the car with them again.

My office is on the 5th floor of a building with a few departments at the same college. When UPS/FedEx don't know where to bring a package, they sometimes leave it at a department on the 3rd floor. The 3rd floor people aren't in our over-arching unit (most other floors are and I've been here long enough that they'd know who the package was for if it was left there by accident). But 3rd floor people don't even try to find the package's owner - they just let it sit there until people come looking for it.
Yeah, maybe it isn't your job, but when I get mail meant for a different department/floor, I either give it back to the mail person or bring it to the different floor myself. Because I'm not as much of a TW.
@MrsLa3 I share your outrage at your sister. I am very picky about car seat safety also, and would be livid if somebody did that for one of my kids. She should respect your wishes regardless of how she feels about the issue. She should have either told you she would not be using a car seat you agree with and have you figure something else out, or do as you wanted to begin with. The fact that she chose for you is not OK.

@MrsLa3 OMG I would lose it. Completely unacceptable.
My TW - my vet's office. I loaded both dogs up after work yesterday to go get shots, got them all excited to see people and go on a trip to the vet, drove 10 min to the office, only to get there and be turned away because one of the vets had to leave for an "emergency", so they weren't taking any more walk ins (office is 100% walk-in. No appointments) GRR. At least they got a car ride out of it lol
My mom is a TW today... tomorrow I have my anatomy scan, which is so late and I've eagerly been waiting for because my insurance had been cut off, now finally reinstated. So my mom is supposed to go with me for support, and I was so happy she'd be going because hubby will not be in town. But now her church friends called her today, telling her they're going to be stopping by to drop some things off in the same time frame of my appt. No one else will be home to collect it, so I offered that my best friend who will be watching my son 2 blocks away can come by and collect it and she's refusing that option. I have no idea why it's such a problem for her not to be there when her friends come. One time.. I'm so annoyed because she knows how crazed I've been waiting to get my a/s, and she's being so hard headed about not being there cause they can't come another time or day.
@Rae1 do you normally see the veT when getting shots? At the clinic I worked at UT was a tech appointment not a vet unless that's how that office operates. That would make me mad.
@LM1007 - ooh I would be so ticked!!! Like there's no other time in the world her friend can't drop the stuff off? I would say my daughter's ultrasound is WAY more important! I'm so sorry.
@MrsLa3 - at my vet, the tech does the shots but the vet still does an exam.
@LM1007 - I would be hurt too. My first reaction to things like that is always anger/frustration and then I get upset. Do you have someone else who can go with you? I just can't believe your mom wouldn't See how important this is - she should feel honored you asked her! My mom has really disappointed me and hurt my feelings through my pregnancy so far, so I get it. It really sucks.
@LoveLee85 I'm so sorry! I was getting them a few days ago too.. are you drinking enough water? That helps, and I vouch for apples working, I experimented on my DH too and he felt a difference!!
@mrsla3 yea I see a vet everytime I take them. The vet does the shots and the exam. The tech gets the weight and then holds/calms them during everything else.
My TW is kind of ridiculous but it annoys me! I keep buying avocados at Trader Joe's even though the prices have gone up because my whole family loves them and they are basically a staple of our diet. So I bought three to bring with us on our vacation this week. I wait until they feel perfect to cut them open. The first one was so bad I had to throw away the whole thing, the second one was great, and I opened the third today and had to cut out all sorts of gross parts to get a few pieces for DS's dinner. And this keeps happening, especially with TJ's. They're not the kind of thing you take back to the store (especially when you're 5 hours away) and I feel silly going in every other week to complain... but it is a waste of money and is getting old.
@mslynn2012 Boooooo! That's sucks, I'm sorry! I just found out that my OB (who I didn't have with DS) goes straight to the 3hr because "too many people fail the 1hr then pass the 3". Seems odd and I'm thinking of pushing for the 1hr anyway just to try my luck!
@LM1007 WTAF. An A/S is way more important for her to support you in than her friends dropping things off. I don't get it. Good for your catching an attitude. You have every right. My mom insists on being at my, now going on 3, A/Ss because she just wants to be there for support. She still works full time and is taking time off to be there for me, so I totally get wanting your mom to be there! I'm sorry you're going through that!
@MrsLa3 That would make my blood boil to hear the completely went against your wishes! That's your child, not theirs.

I am really hurt by it.. and then she had the nerve to ask why I caught an attitude over the phone.
