R/R: This sort of builds off my rant from last week... I had a couple of friends who very passionately and aggressively gave me the 'just relax' and 'it'll happen when it's supposed to happen' lecture, just after I had talked about the most devastating AF yet. They kept going to the point where I had to get up and leave the restaurant in tears. I kinda expected at least one of them to reach out over the weekend or something, and make sure I was okay, or apologize, or even agree to disagree. I haven't heard a peep though, and it's already Tuesday. We have standing Thursday plans, and I'm not sure if I go or not. I wanted to explain my side, but the lack of dialogue makes me think it may not go over well - are we all sitting here thinking that we are right and the other should apologize? My logic is it doesn't matter if you think are you right, if you make someone cry, you apologize for that! So - do I go and pretend it didn't happen? Do I make a point of saying I won't be there? Or do I just not show up?
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What talent do you wish you had, but don't? Like a few others, I wish I was musically inclined. I can't play instruments or sing, but always wished I could
@Sailing_Mama I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! It's kind of a tough situation. I think I would reach out to at least one of them and talk to them; explain what you are so upset and how insensitive they were being when then told you to "just relax." If they still don't understand then let them know that you won't be there on Thursday possibly for the foreseeable future and then nicely say goodbye and hang up. Hugs friend!

@Sailing_Mama I'm going to call this afternoon after my next client session. They called DH with the results but of course he didn't remember what "M" lettered word it was. Sounded like his results were great though. I'm gonna follow up about my BW today too. I agree with @lulu1180 advice. Regardless of how good their intentions are they have to realize how invalidating their feedback was!
@Sailing_Mama I would go and tell them in person how you were/are feeling. Not to get all "therapist" on you, but I always talk with my clients about using "I statements" instead of saying "you made me feel xyz." It gives you the power and lets them know how you were feeling. it can also help to keep others from getting defensive bc once that happens they tend to stop listening to what you're really saying. So, maybe something along the lines of "I really debated coming tonight. after last week I was feeling really angry, sad, disappointed, etc." and then you can share why those feelings came up for you. That article that was linked the other day had some great lines in it as well. Whatever you decide to do know that you have support here.

@LoveInDC Oh no... I'm sorry you're still stuck in WTO. It looks like your temp is going down some. Hopefully that means O or at least you'll get AF soon.
@Sailing_Mama We usually shove a few triscuits in our faces then leave right way. Once I sit on the couch, I'm in for the night. In terms of your friend dilemma, I agree with @lulu1180 to call one or both of them individually ahead of time. If you go and bring it up, then it will probably ruin the evening so you might as well not go (unless you want to go and talk about what happened and not worry about having a good time after).

R/R: This is both a rant and a rave; I went to Marshall's last night to pick up a couple pairs of running pants because the ones I already have are straining at the seams a bit since I've gained quite a bit of weight in the past 9+ months. Rant because I've gained too much weight from telling myself that I'll be KTFU any month now so a couple extra pounds won't matter; rave because I'm trying hard to get back into running so get myself in better shape.

R/R: I have a happy hour to go to after work and I really don't want to. It's far away and involves going into the city...but it's for a friend's birthday so I'm going to go.
CS/Q:
GTKY: What talent do you wish you had, but don't? I've always wanted to be able to do arts and crafts, and I just have no talent there. Once, when doing one of those paint and sip things (which I love despite my lack of talent), I called the "teacher" over to ask for advice and help; he took a look at my tree and tree branches and asked if I was trying to make such a terrible tree. ooooof.
@TigerCakes- WOO HOO! Good luck with your TWW!
@cdnrunning - Congrats on the half! I always say I'm going to keep maintaining after my halfs, and if I don't have a race already on the calendar, I NEVER do it. Get that race on your calendar!!
Welcome back @Kiwi2628! Sometimes a break is good, mentally.
@KariAnn323 - Good luck this weekend. I also wish I could speak another language.
@KariAnn323 and @Cricket648 I used to be able to speak some conversational French, took 4 years of Italian, and took a year of Spanish. Unfortunately, I remember almost none of it now.
Go, @lulu1180, Go! Getting started is always the hardest part.

@cdnrunning Congrats on the half! I agree that once you've already trained, you might as well keep going. You lose the stamina very quickly. I can't wait to start running again as soon as the weather is a bit nicer.
@RVAmom315 Sorry for CD1.
@kiwi2628 I've been thinking of taking a Bump break as well. Maybe after I ovulate, whenever that is. I hope you're doing OK.
@KariAnn323 Good luck with the convention. How many people attend?
@Cricket648 I have a problem controlling my expressions as well. I totally wear my heart on my sleeve. FX for O soon! Have you had an-O cycles before?
@lulu1180 I'm in the same boat about tight pants and gaining a couple pounds. I can't wait to start running again. It's warming up, but all of next week is supposed to be rainy. Maybe we can motivate each other. I want to lose about 15 lbs to get down to my ideal weight.
@Tennis11785 I hope you end up enjoying the happy hour. Also, what a jerk art instructor! I would have said "have some more wine...." haha seriously though, he should have helped you a bit instead of criticizing.

@Starla I'm willing to try whatever will help get me going again and do so for more than a few weeks! I'm about 25 lbs or more from my ideal weight. I guess the bottle of wine and 2/3 of a package of oreos after a failed cycle weren't such a great idea in hindsight lol. Although I am running when I get home tonight.

@Tennis11785 I hope tonight winds up being fun even though it sounds like a hassle to go all the way into the city and on a week night!

@RVAmom315 Sorry about CD1. As much as we tell ourselves that we're out we still hold out that little bit of hope and it hurts.
@kiwi2628 glad your break was relaxing, selfishly I miss your humor
@KariAnn323 yay on finally getting some sleep! I know this convention is a mixed bag for you since you were hoping you would get to share news with your friends. Sending you all the positive vibes and hoping you can have a great time.

R/R: this is a bit of both, I'm currently at home waiting for the cable company to come replace my box. Every 1.5 years it seems we need a new DVR bc they keep giving us a refurbished one. Well this time we're getting a new, new box. I think they must have in the notes that I'm a b!tch bc the customer service rep was basically using deescalating talk the whole time. I'm usually really nice to customer service because I did it for a long time, but once they start lying or being rude I lose my nice. Anyway, I'm chilling at home for a few hours snuggling with my dogs and loving it.

GTKY: What talent do you wish you had, but don't?
gosh, so many. I'm the one that has no discernible "talent" unless sarcasm and eye rolls count. I would love to be able to play an instrument and like @Tennis11785 @KariAnn323 @Cricket648 i'd love to speak another language. I took 6.5 years of French and I can barely count to 10 now. But it did help me read the menus in France. I also took 2 years of Latin and tried to learn German with an app. I did okay but didn't stick to it.

@Sailing_Mama I'm going to call this afternoon after my next client session. They called DH with the results but of course he didn't remember what "M" lettered word it was. Sounded like his results were great though. I'm gonna follow up about my BW today too. I agree with @lulu1180 advice.

I'm happy with how it went, I'm glad to just get the ball rolling on testing and make sure everything looks good.
