@dragonette505 oh that sounds horrible! I know it's for a good reason but so sorry you had to go through that!! And I hope the triggering goes well!!

@SoldiersMom & @Cricket648 I'm with you on the painting the bathroom, our master bathroom has had test spots from the samples for about 5 months now, we just can't seem to decide if we like any of them or if we want to try a 4th option. Congrats on getting it done!

purplg8r WTH I am so sorry you have to deal
with that. I did have a cyst on my left ovary and it took care of itself (I
never knew if that means it ruptured but regardless it isn’t there now and it
was)… Obviously, I didn’t have pain because I didn’t even know it had left! I
think it is very rare to have the ovary twist around it, so the doctor probably
just told you about the ER for worst case situation. I hope you are okay! Sorry
for all of the added stress L
Mine did
not hurt when I pressed down but it was tender around O time.
@purplg8r I did that last year! Apparently in Australia it is only legal to hold koalas in Queensland. It was a cool experience, but I would say the Koalas in the wild trip we did in Melbourne was the best way to see them. We went with a guide who has a masters in Zoology and found Koalas up in trees in a wildlife reserve. It was great to see and hear the facts about them from someone with so much respect, passion and knowledge about Koalas.

@Avrilmai I personally liked to be the one to deliver the news to my inlaws when they ask about us having kids. I tell them that we're not having anymore-their expression is priceless! Try it some time, I promise you won't be disappointed! Just make up some bullshit, sit back, and enjoy
@Starla Sorry for chart-craziness. Hope it sorts itself out soon! @50Wife Sorry about your son, but good news that it's not worse. I'm also a crier on occasions of stress. @Tennis11785 Hahah, well enjoy your bow-chica-bow-wow! @lulu1180 sorry for growing numbers FX you get answers and solutions soon. @Cricket648 boo for messy temps, but keep your spirits up. I thought the first cycle was so difficult, way more difficult than the following ones so far, so hopefully you'll find that as well, if you end up needing more than one. @vintageandrea90 Sorry for your stressful situation! @dragonette505 yay for acceptable lining, indeed! @SoldiersMom Yay for a nearly finished house. Glad to hear you are, and fx the cyst resolves itself quietly and quickly! @icecubeinthedesert yay for getting things done, and for early morning walk. I'm definitely wayyyy to sedentary as well, and I've noticed how just a short walk/getting out a bit/some exercise really goes a long way towards preventing things like headaches, backaches and bad moods for me. @hoosiermama1 FX your day goes by fast @BertieMeetsGertie that gif is making me want fries, and I had breakfast like 30 mins ago...
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: after reading all the comments on green tea and pnvs yesterday and today I think the answer to this is that I'm doing things, and then negating their effects by doing other things. Maybe I should look into that.
R/R: Got billed over $1000 by the hospital for recent ER visit **TW** for suspected ectopic pregnancy that turned out to be a CP **/TW** Seriously! Why the F do I have insurance then??? Stuff like this makes me miss Europe so much. Anyway, I hope that we'll get them to pay some of it, but DH will have to call, because I'll just cry if I have to explain why I was in the ER in the first place.
CS/Q: CD 5 and my libido is increasing. That's good, because it means o is not too far away, but really annoying, because I'm not a fan of DTD during AF, it's so messy. And, (and this is my question) pointless from a TTGP standpoint, right? I tend to o early, sometimes as early as CD 10, but I have AF until CD 6 or 7. But I think I read somewhere that the blood makes for a sperm-killing environment, so you're not really fertile while you're bleeding. Does anyone know anything about this?
GTKY: What animal best represents you and why? Recently, I guess I'm a good fit for Eeyore, which of course isn't exactly 'an animal' (or a gif for that matter, pff), but it's the best I can do.
@purplg8r- Sorry for the rough day you're having. I had a cyst in the past and it went away on its own and my Dr. wasn't concerned. Hope it ends up ok for you. Try to enjoy your time in China!
@starla – sorry about the erratic chart. FX for CH soon!
@50wife – sorry that your son has to get tubes. My sister
had to get 3 sets of them when she was younger because she couldn’t hear. Hope
all goes well.
@soldierswife – you can see light at the end of the tunnel
for painting! I always love when projects get finished.
@purplg8r – sorry about the cyst! I’ve had two different
types of cysts. The first type was caused by ovulation and they did rupture
(not horrible pain just really uncomfortable). They put me on BC to keep them
from happening and didn’t have any problems after that. I asked my gyno about
them before I went off BC and she said that you create cysts every time you
ovulate but some just don’t go down like they are supposed to and keep growing.
The second type was a dermoid on my left ovary. Wasn’t supposed to have pain
with this but it must have been pressing up against another organ. Those are
less likely to rupture because they are fat and gross stuff like hair and teeth
but will twist your ovary if too big. FX it is resolves on its own!
@sailing_mama – I’m so excited for warm weather – not that
we’ve had much of a winter anyway.
@icecubeinthedesert – my DH is the same way with my
parents. Every time we leave or they leave, he spends so much time complaining
about everything they did and said. I’m not sure if my parents are just being
rude or he is just too sensitive.
@hoosiermama1 – sorry about a late night at work on a
Monday…
@bertiemeetsgertie – sorry for another WTO. FX that the
laid back approach gets the job done for you.
@avrilmai – I hate when people ask me if I’m okay, yes
thank you I just look like crap today…
@kvacmak – yay for O holding off! Enjoy DH being home
tomorrow! Also, I love giraffes! Have you been watching April? Hasn’t she been
in labor for like 2 weeks? Wouldn’t that be horrible if humans were like that!
@camomile – I had a nice $2,000 ER bill when I had the flu
and was really dehydrated. I cannot believe that insurance doesn’t cover
anything until you hit your deductible. My goal this year is to not hit my deductible
unless it is because I have a baby (I hit my out of pocket last year!).

CS/Q: Since I did finally get peak fertility on the CBA, the literature says that the peak stays on the monitor for 48 hours. Does that mean I should input peak into FF again tomorrow or just today? I know I don’t test again, I just wasn’t sure if I should input it for two days or just the one.
GTKY: I have no idea, otters maybe? I love to cuddle, sleep, and be in the water.
@50wife I think surgery, however minor and routine, is always a little scary, but I’m sure it will go well and you and DS will both be feeling better soon.
@SoldiersMom I love freshly painted walls, but I hate the painting (actually I hate the taping. I did a striped wall last year, and I’m still recovering lol)
@purplg8r sorry you’re dealing with all that especially since you’re not in the country right now. I do know that cysts are both painful/common, so hopefully yours doesn’t cause you any issues and resolves quickly.
@purplg8r So sorry that you're going through all of this while on your trip. I'll keep you in my thoughts that everything is ok and you can get home safely
@avrilmai I hate when people say you look tired! I typically have bags under my eyes even when I'm not tired so I've always found it especially annoying. I also hate when people say anything to me about having kids
@justkeepswimming8 Enjoy your sushi! Me and DH just had sushi on Saturday and it was delicious
@camomile So sorry about your bill for your CP. ***TW*** when I had my MC I was out of state so I had to go the ER instead of my regular doctor which meant I had a $150 copay instead of $25. Just another slap in the face when you're already experiencing a loss***End TW***
R/R: I had my yearly appointment at OB/GYN and it went great! She said that if I'm not knocked this cycle we can do blood work, an ultrasound and an SA for H next cycle. I'm so happy that she will let us do at least some basic testing now and not make us wait a year!

This is a tough one. The obvious answer would probably be tiger, but I think I'm going to say penguin because they are smart and independent but loyal
@katieEl - I don't know if I'm doing it right...but I only put in the first day. FF then automatically marks the next day as O day, so I just let it go.

@Starla & @Cricket648Don't you hate when your body doesn't cooperate? TCOYF makes charting sound simple and so obvious, but if the signs don't align it's really not so clear. FX for high temps for you both tomorrow. @LaurenEG14 I'm still pretty new but so glad for this community. I so appreciate the outlet, support and knowledge that this group provides. MH made a joke about an online community for ttc men yesterday, and when I got a little defensive about the utility of this group he was like, "No, I wasn't kidding. You seem to know so much about what's going on and I'm just like... doing it and hoping you and 'your ladies' are right!" @purplg8r OY. What a cluster. I'm glad you advocated for yourself even though your doctor seemed to appear a little annoyed when you made your request for an ultrasound. FX that it doesn't badly impact your trip plans and that you make it home without incident. @justkeepswimming8 Sorry today sounds so rough. Hopefully the rest of your day is quick and sushi makes it a little better. My go-to comfort food for a bad day? Totally breaded chicken tenders, lol. You're winning at adulthood, anyway @dragonette505 Yay for an FET date! Exciting! @BertieMeetsGertie Sorry that the ttc journey is really sucking right now. It's hard to "relax" when every other thought is ttc related, but I hope you find some comfort and success in the laid back approach. On another note though, I adore your sloth eating french fries This would also be a good spirit animal for me!
Month/Cycle: 3/2

WAYDTGKU: The usual plus evening primrose and... TMI- last night we gave pre-seed a swing. I'm er... pretty sensitive and it was perfect for a good quickie because I still don't have much EWCM. If anyone's on the fence, you should give it a go - I was pleasantly surprised and so was DH.
R/R: Raves: So happy for the first day of spring (summer's coming! Plus! FREE ice cream cones at Dairy Queen!) Also, I was super surprised to turn an OPK last night even though I usually have to wait until CD 21-22. Rant: Not sure I totally trust the OPK, so it might be a long week for DH. Also? Monday... at the end of third quarter.... ugh, where are you, spring break?!
CS/Q: So when I entered my +OPK info, FF gave me the "green light" and gave me green solid days on my calendar. Will FF automatically adjust those solid days if my temp doesn't rise for a few days? I suspect it was a false positive based on my history, little CM, and the much lighter OPK I had this morning. We'll see either way, I guess. I would be thrilled to have less days until O, y'all.
GTKY: What animal best represents you and why? Bonus points for gif. I would be a sheep. My Irish wool sweaters are two of my most beloved possessions and maybe I could be a sheep living the good life in Ireland? Plus they're pretty sweet animals but appear rather serious if they're weary of you. Also, I also like to eat all the things and my bff is a dog

@purplg8r - yes it can! the surgeon split mine open and a bunch of black hair fell out. It sounds disgusting! The pathology report said there was respiratory tissue in it too. Apparently its just a bunch of cells that you had from birth and they start to grow during child bearing age.

@purplg8r Thanks, my ovaries are being so patient haha @Camomile I'm pretty sure AF blood doesn't make a difference, if you're fertile, you're fertile. @justkeepswimming8 I have been following April... I've decided in my *very* educated giraffe opinion that she must not be in labour, just due. I think they're just hyping it for attention. The zoo is making a shit tonne of money off donations from their live feed. @KatieEl Yay for O! Aren't you glad you persisted? @TigerCakes So glad your OB is being awesome! @CandyApple2012 We use pre-seed as our 'everyday' lube when needed, I'd agree with your sentiments :P @dragonette505 Yea I had read that! Except a longer than usual cycle is going to make it SOOO hard to hold out on testing when the time comes lol. At least it will be expected though, with tracking and knowing with fairly good precision when O is.
@CandyApple2012 Truth. The charts in TCOYF are so beautiful. Sooo not real life. @KatieEl Otters are my favorite thing! Soo cute! @Avrilmai Same on the test spots thing! Also, we have this awful boarder with dolphins and manatees on it. I think the previous owners must have super glued it to the wall, because the only thing that gets off the adhesive is pure acetone. So we've been slowly removing it for months. Our bathroom looks like a hot mess currently.
@purplg8r and @justkeepswimming8, that kind of cyst is usually called a teratoma, which is essentially a benign tumor derived from a germ cell (the oocyte). People can live with them without ever knowing they have them. It happens because germ cells are essentially stem cells that can differentiate into any cell type in the body. Something goes wrong and you get a frankentumor. (I work in this general field of research).

@kvacmak Yay for O holding out for your DH!
@KatieELYay for peak fertility!

R/R: I had my yearly appointment at OB/GYN and it went great! She said that if I'm not knocked this cycle we can do blood work, an ultrasound and an SA for H next cycle. I'm so happy that she will let us do at least some basic testing now and not make us wait a year!
CS/Q:
GTKY: What animal best represents you and why? Bonus points for gif.
This is a tough one. The obvious answer would probably be tiger, but I think I'm going to say penguin because they are smart and independent but loyal

You seem to know so much about what's going on and I'm just like... doing it and hoping you and 'your ladies' are right!"
@purplg8r OY.
You're winning at adulthood, anyway
@dragonette505 Yay for an FET date!
CD: 17

@Camomile ouch about the ER bill!!! Hopefully insurance just made a mistake!!
@CandyApple2012 right about my dr being annoyed? I plan to mention to her that I'm not happy that she didn't listen when I asked for one starting on Tuesday. And so glad you liked the preseed. It's definitely helpful when somethings needed quick lol

@AvrilMai we had so many sample shades of grey/blue on our wall it started to look like the camo that the navy wears. Eventually one "popped". You'll find it!
@KatieEl Bless you! I tried a chevron wall for my very first painting project two years ago. It was the devil. Needless to say, I did not get past taping. I bow down!

@Camomile I'm pretty sure AF blood doesn't make a difference, if you're fertile, you're fertile.
@CandyApple2012 We use pre-seed as our 'everyday' lube when needed, I'd agree with your sentiments :P
@dragonette505 Yea I had read that! Except a longer than usual cycle is going to make it SOOO hard to hold out on testing when the time comes lol. At least it will be expected though, with tracking and knowing with fairly good precision when O is.
Thanks everyone for all the positive comments
@KatieEl Otters are my favorite thing! Soo cute!
@Avrilmai Same on the test spots thing! Also, we have this awful boarder with dolphins and manatees on it. I think the previous owners must have super glued it to the wall, because the only thing that gets off the adhesive is pure acetone. So we've been slowly removing it for months. Our bathroom looks like a hot mess currently.
