I am a moderate lurker. The last baby board I was on was brutal and I got too invested in people. Women were constantly attacking other women and whenever someone tried to step in they got harassed to. My social anxiety weny through the roof. I am glad this group is a lot better but I try not to get TOO into it. Hence the moderate lurker status. I think you guys are great though and have helped me a lot!
And I totally agree with everyone, @shanana1234567 if you plan on keeping your lurker status then why did you feel the need to post that comment? This thread has been really wonderful for those of us who really wanted to jump back in, but didn't know quite how to do it. You apparently are not someone that fits into that category, so you really could've just continued on lurking without posting.

Hello! As others have mentioned, I appreciate this thread, so thank you. I suppose I am a semi lurker in the sense that I post regularly but only 2-3 times a week and usually on specific threads. I am a STM with a 2.5 year old daughter, I work full time, i have been married for over ten years, and I have a pug who is a total sweetheart mushball. In my last pregnancy, I felt somewhat alone in the process so this time around I am grateful to share this experience with a community of women. I will try to post more as I would like to continue building relationships here. Nice to (re) meet you all!
Hi all! I am 25 weeks pregnant with baby number 5! I have and 8 year old daughter, 7 year old son, 5 year old daughter, and 2 year old son.... this baby is a girl due 8/1/17 and will be our last . I have lurked on (and made a rare occasional comment) on the boards for each of my pregnancies. I love coming to this board to relating to other expectant moms. I'm looking forward to being a little more active from this point on.

I've done this,too. I just went back to read new intros on the Intro/EDD thread and my intro was sitting there, since November! I've done it on other threads as well where I've gotten busy and by the time I come back what I was saying had been said and the conversation has moved on. I am also an over cautious commenter where I will read and reread what I'm going to say so I don't ruffle feathers. So, sometimes, my posts never get posted for that reason alone.
@caribbeanmama and @sakeefer fellow July15 mom here - I was semi-active until the exodus and just couldn't really get back into after that, plus I was close with my July14 group on FB. Apparently July is my month to have the babies lol

I feel this way too. Of COURSE you don't think lurking is a bad thing - you're not the one being watched from afar. It is super creepy that you check in to read our drama and get the advice you want when you want it, but have no input to give. It is also very rude to imply that the people on here who are regulars have too much time on their hands. We all have family, jobs, friends, lives, and/or other things keeping us busy. We just spend time reading AND making comments, instead of just reading. If you have the time to read, you have the time to contribute. Please don't blame "time," and just acknowledge that you are actually using us as a form of entertainment. I don't know how much you actually lurk around here, but if you are reading enough, you know that I am the LAST person to get involved in drama or arguments on this board, but what you said was rude, insulting, and as I've said, CREEPY. Please join our community for real, or find a new form of entertainment.
Hello! I am just joining after finding the group last week and lurking a bit. I am a STM with a daughter who just recently turned 2. My due date is the very end of July (29th), but if this one ends up like my last she will end up being an August baby.
Hi everyone, I feel like I fit somewhere in the category between lurker and regular but not quite sure what that is called haha! I have twin boys (3 in May) and expecting a baby girl in July. I post weekly on ticker threads and then try to participate when I can on others but I am trying to be better about it. I was in the June 14' bmb as well but we moved to FB pretty early and left the bump for the most part. I will admit Feb I didn't get around to posting much because we had a ton going on here at home but things are now settled down

Yikes!! I didn't realize I could offend so many people with commenting about how lurking and minimal posting to me isn't a bad thing. I did not say I am more busy than anyone else nor that people who post more must be less busy. But given the title of the post I just thought I would throw my two sense in that I don't see what's wrong lurking or posting minimally whatever you comfort level is. Someone could post 1000 times and add no value while someone could post 5 times and add tons of value. I don't see why it has to be all or none. No one is obligated to post more or less than their comfort level. This post did call out the lurkers, just wanted to share my two cents that not everyone wants to be a "contributing member" and that's fine with me. I can appreciate a post from the active member as much as from the lurker. Maybe this should've been in the UO thread.

Did you read anything other than the title? From your post, that's not you. No one is saying you have to post more, or that you can't continue to lurk on us and use us for drama (referencing your FFFC comment) but you're not going to change our minds that it's creepy and we don't appreciate it.
I am definitely a lurker and am guilty of posting but not being the best at responding. Here's my story:
I'm 22 weeks, 2 days, FTM, due July 22nd. We're having a boy! I really planned on being more active, but I have been suffering from crippling anxiety this whole pregnancy. As I approach viability, things are getting a bit better. But many days I spend worried about every little pain, scared to see blood when I go pee, etc. It's exhausting.
Earlier in the pregnancy I had bleeding and a subchorionic hemorrhage, and you ladies were so supportive and helpful! I really, truly appreciate that.
My A/S went well, but I found out I have a low-lying placenta (which the MFM doctor is 99% sure will move up) and a "marginal cord insertion." This can restrict growth, but it's apparently rare that this happens. They're checking me again at 28 weeks just to be extra cautious.
Orherwise, I work as a Marketing Specialist and though the anxiety has made it difficult, I do still like my job. Im also taking a grad school class, which I'm now regretting a little lol. Only three more weeks left of it though!

Same here! I would hate to offend or come across as insensitive towards anyone especially when it's not my intention. I also still have my intro/edd sitting at the bottom of that thread. I should just finish it up and post it. Hopefully I'll complete that today.
This post is funny, thanks for starting. I don't necessarily think luriking is a bad thing, I'll be honest and say I don't plan on posting more than I have, that's about my contribution comfort level and like lots of other girls mentioned, I'm freakin busy. To be considered a "regular" is quite a commitment, some of you girls are on it! But I enjoy the topics and commentary and I like to see when people are going thru similar things. I like to see the good news after some scary news and I always say a little prayer for those of us who have pregnancy challenges. So even thou I don't post, I'm a silent cheerleader, hoping we all make it to the end with happy healthy babies, that's what we all want. So no offense, but I'll be holding on to my lurker status, maybe I can upgrade to minimal contributor

@CallaLily25 I remember you from the SCH thread and I'm glad to hear an update. FWIW I've found that interacting on these boards has helped me with my anxiety. There's also a weekly mental health check in you might find useful. Hope to see you around more!
Well, this is definitely me. I was pretty active in the beginning, dropped off, and then felt weird popping back in to an established community.
So, I'm 30, FTM, and 21+4. Due date is July 27, so it's TBD if this little one will be a July or August baby. Though we did find out at our A/S that we are Team Blue!!

Welp, I think I definitely can consider myself a lurker. I was hoping to be super involved with this board since I wasn't last time (June '15) but it's been crazy being pregnant and chasing a toddler. We also just found out we will be moving home (WA state to TX) within the next month. So I've been packing and cramming everything I can into my days. Hopefully life will slow down soon and I can be more involved!
Hi everyone! I was a little more active in the beginning but after having a rough start to this pregnancy and having surgery and moving all in a few short months I didn't know where to fit back in.
So anyways about me, I am 26 married and have an 11 year old step son and a 10 month old daughter. This pregnancy kind of came as a shock as we had just started talking about "trying" again as it took us 2 years to have our daughter. We knew we wanted to get started on another baby relatively soon but it happened quicker than we expected. We couldn't be happier though. I am 25 weeks and baby girl #2 is due July 3rd. I may end up being a late June momma though as my doctor is watching very closely due to this baby girl being breech and blood pressure issues and preterm labor with my first. I however am hoping everything goes according to plan as I was induced with DD #1 and had a horrible experience.
Im glad someone decided to start this thread as I have wanted to rejoin the board for a while but wasn't sure how to go about it without getting flamed or the dreaded who are you posts.

Another semi-lurker here. I am 22 weeks with a little girl. I also have a 17 mo old boy and am so excited for DD to join our family! DS has had significant ear infection trouble (4 in the last 6weeks alone). The ENTs in our area were booked out for 2 months, but we are finally down to 3 weeks until our appointment. I am desperately hoping to get this baby better before the next arrives.
I posted and lurked more earlier on, but always find value in the info and connections when I can jump on. I try to post something most times that I am on, so that I do contribute. I hope it wasn't infrequent enough to be creepy, confusing, or a bother.
I guess I would probably fall into this category. I was quite active on the PGAL board when we first started up but with a lot of the worry gone and a 16m old son that never stops I don't find time to check through board out very often. 23 weeks with my rainbow. High risk (although at the moment my riskiness is quite low) and staying strong as team green.

I'd say I'm a lurker, I did post an intro and comment occasionally but I'm often overwhelmed by the volume of content on here!
I'm 25 weeks with a baby girl who is already causing us some sleepless nights. There are some issues with her heart so we had 8 hours in hospital yesterday and they kindly discharged me overnight but back today for more monitoring and second "just in case we have to pull her out" steroid shot. Very stressful but she is still super active which reassures me that she isn't in too much strife yet. She has a lot more cooking to do in my opinion!
@Nellin sorry to hear that you are going through that! FX that the monitoring reveals no major issues, and that she stays put inside for many more weeks.
