So let's be honest. New people aren't always welcomed with open arms around here when they just jump into a thread. But it seems a lot of new or previously inactive people have popped up this week! So, if you're a not-so-active member and want to change that without facing the "and you are??" responses, here's your chance! Intro (or re-intro) here. We want a chance to get to know you!
I'm a major lurker, but I did at least did post an intro:) Here is another one, thanks for posting this!
I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant with a due date of July 20. *TW* This will be our first child, after two previous losses (which is a major reason I've been hesitant to post.)* I had my anatomy scan and everything looks great, so it is for sure starting to feel real!
I feel super lucky lucky to have missed out on any sickness this pregnancy. I get more and more excited each day as my belly grows and I can feel hefind moving.
I will I'll make an attempt to participate more! Thursday is my ticket change day.
I was posting in the beginning, but I've become mostly a lurker in the last couple of months. I have an 11 month old son who has been keeping me very busy of late! I am due August 3rd, but I'm a STM and my son was born 4 weeks premature so I'm guessing I will be a July mom. Im currently 20 weeks + 2 days and am having a baby girl! I was a member of the May 16 BMB (I still am a member but we're all in FB now) My son was an IVF baby. In November we were gearing up to use our frozen embryo when I miraculously got my BFP on my last natural cycle before my frozen transfer! I live in Southern California. I will definitely try to post more, I'm glad I got the chance to Re-intro!
@tripledaggerWed95976 I remember your story! You were almost a 2u1 mom like me so your story stuck out to me. When you stopped posting I was hoping something hadn't happened. Glad you are still here.
I was pretty active up until like 4 weeks ago? I'm due July 15th with a baby girl, but she's measuring 2 weeks bigger so maybe before then!
Between my 3 kids, transitioning out of the Army, getting into school, finding a place to live and trying to find my husband a job, I haven't been able to post too much
I am super glad I got to re intro..and I am hoping now that I have my life half figured out, I will be able to post more!!
I was pretty active early one. Been traveling a lot with work so haven't been as active. Seems I have missed most of the drama that has been happening!
I'm 35 and pregnant with my second. Currently 23 + 4. My son will be 5 next month and we are looking forward to having another boy! I am due July 11. Will try to be more active, but between work and soccer season starting, we will see!
Oh crap... this is probably me! I had every intention of being more active but I can't seem to keep up with you ladies! By the time I check in (I only bump mobile) I feel so far behind and have nothing more to contribute. I hate being a dirty lurker (seriously, it's creepy right?!) so I will try harder to keep up! Thanks for calling us out
@MamaRN13 It's often the same for me. I work all day and i'm in a later time-zone, so I usually miss all the action. Sometimes I feel like the peanut gallery posting later in the evening, but it's fun to participate nonetheless. Hope to see ya around more.

I have this problem too. I try not to reply to more than a couple threads when I'm bumping later because then I'm the girl that replied to everything and I think it's weird.
@abmommy15 I agree, it's weird when I see my username next to all the threads I've replied to in a column! And then it stays like that for awhile because no one else is posting! Lol.
I usually leave all my comments at the same time, when I get home from school. Maybe I should have, but I've never felt it was weird (but I have missed some serious drama). I don't think I even pay attention to when people post...more interested in what they have to say. We're all over the world here, so I wouldn't be concerned. I will say that's it is hard when you feel like you're the only one logged in for hours (or days!), so I totally get that. I'm selfishly hoping this thread will help with our weekend activity level...
Hi! I'll jump in here since I feel like I have semi-lurker status. I intro'd in January and haven't been nearly as active as others. Although I've been trying to get more involved in the last couple weeks as I'm feeling more confident in this pregnancy after my AS.
I'm 22 weeks, due July 23. This is my 4th pregnancy and hopefully first baby. I'm 30 and live in Florida with my awesome husband. We've been married nearly 3 years.
I defintely have the late-to-the-game problem sometimes that others have mentioned above, even though I'm on the east coast. Some days at work go way too late for anything other than crawling straight into bed after. Either way, I'll try to keep participating in more threads and getting to know everyone
I was semi active in the beginning and I have been a lurker since. I'm due 7/21 with a girl. Our first daughter was born 7/11 so July seems to be our month. This pregnancy has been hard, I've been sick for most of it wether it's some stomach bug, just morning sickness or now I have some laryngitis/sinusitis/tonsillitis crap going on. I am a nurse so I get exposed to all kinds of crap regularly. Along with being sick we've had to put our daughter in daycare for the first time because my mom was diagnosed with cancer and she was our daycare provider so that's been a huge change for our family plus it's introduced more nasty germs to us. My plan is to try to be more active, I have the rest of this semester left to finish my BSN and then I'll have a little more free time, but I'll be checking in here as much as I can throughout.
Hi! I'm a FTM in South Carolina, and I've been lurking the past month or so after getting over nausea that kept me off screens for a while (started taking an anti-nausea, which has helped a lot!). I'm a marine bio masters student, just trying to finish up data and write/defend my thesis before this baby arrives. We have an older dog and two cats, and enjoy doing outdoorsy things.
I'm 23 weeks today, due July 16. My mom was 2.5 weeks late with all her babies, so I'm a little worried I'll be the same way. We are moving overseas shortly after the birth (I'll be joining husband as soon as baby has a passport), so we have to ship most of our baby stuff in June, and take the rest in suitcases. We don't have any family in the area, but my mom is planning to fly over with me.
We are attempting a natural birth center birth with a doula, and just signed up for a hypnobabies course. If you told me 10 years ago that someday I'd be taking a "hypnosis class" I would have laughed in your face, but I guess it seems more like training yourself to zone out? We're also trying to do the eco-friendly/low-toxin thing. As a FTM I'm aware that this might all change once I actually have a new human being on my hands, but that's the plan for now!
oh YEAH, I definitely consider myself a lurker. I think I maybe intro'ed at some point back there but I'm honestly not sure.
I'm about 21.5 weeks right now (Wednesday ticker change), first kid. DH and I are in our late 20s and we live in the midwest. Baby girl is due 7/26 but I keep telling myself shes not coming until the first week of August.
I've been somewhat miserable with pregnancy in general but I know thats very ungrateful of me given how well the pregnancy has progressed and how quickly we got pregnant. I just miss feeling super strong and independent and capable. Still trying to stay active (working out 2-3x/wk) but just not feeling up to it like I used to.
I find it hard to post mostly because then I have to keep up with any replies - and my ability to pay attention to the board waxes and wanes. I don't want to comment on something and then peace out for 4 days. BUT I am always back for the Thurs/Fri commotion. The OU is my guilty pleasure. I also feel like there's a lot of subtle etiquette cues that I find it hard to follow so when I post I have to read over it like 3x to think about whether I'm offending anyone. Oops!
@Potterphile Youre not alone. Im very much a tough it out,I can do anything kind of person, but pregnancy has really knocked me down and humbled me. I just do not respond well to hormones, and there are obvious limitations that come with being pregnant. I also dont want to seem ungrateful, especially considering the other moms on here who are/have been dealing with such serious complications. Up to now, it was really easy to get pregnant and I've had a fairly text book, no complications pregnancy which I am so grateful for. But being sick until 22 weeks, pregnant is not exactly my favorite state of being.

Thanks for creating this thread @AdaByron I was posting more during the first trimester. Then, an embarrassingly long time passed where I was reading regularly but not contributing.
At the same time, it seemed like the group was starting to become more cohesive and it would have felt a bit weird to suddenly re-emerge.
Similar to others, I also started to feel like I didn't have soo much new to contribute to the conversation. I have never been great at forums. I just never really know what you're supposed to do/say. (This is extra embarrassing b/c I manage online communities for a living.)
I apologise for this, because I've gotten a lot from taking part indirectly in this community, and I know that I haven't given anything in return. I know that's very much against the spirit of things here, and I've definitely felt bad about it.
As we're moving along in our pregnancies, there have been many conversations lately that I've been wanting to take part in - as I finally feel more informed on things, and like I might be able to add value to conversations (e.g. lately I'm obsessing over the minuscule technical specifications and costs of most strollers on the market. I'm also moving while preparing for baby, which I noticed in the nursery thread a few others are as well.)
Thank you again for this thread. I appreciate that this all arose because of lurkers popping up after the AE discussion, but instead of letting things be weird, you turned into an inviting and inclusive thing - which is what I like about this group

I'm hoping to post a fair amount in the future!
I did hypnobirthing with my son almost two years ago and plan to do it again! Such an incredible experience!!!
This might be me. I'm not a regular. I post maybe a few times a week. With 3 kids and a household to handle I don't often have the time to participate until the late evening. Most of the conversations are over by that time. (I'm on the west coast) There are times I get to post earlier but it's like once a week, if that. I just can't find much time to keep up with thread conversations as most of the regulars do. I don't have the mental capacity for it. Lol... I try to contribute where I can. Thank goodness for those of you girls who post regularly with so much helpful advice. Hopefully I can make a bigger effort in participating in threads.
Eta: I saw this thread when it first posted and began my response immediately after but never got to finishing it till just now. I swear there are a ton of threads that I've left a saved draft on and never have come back to them. I'm horrible, I know.
Maybe me? Lol. I posted frequently in 1st tri, but then TB on mobile kept redirecting me to download an app or to a different website.
I'm 28, due July 6th (after an argument between my MFM and OB on what date to use) but I know I will be having a repeat c-section no later than 39 weeks (which is June 29th). This is our 3rd girl. My other girls are 6 (Oct 2010 baby) and basically 3 (March 2014). This was a SURPRISE baby and we are for sure done after this one. I'm high risk (high blood pressure, history of pre-term labor/ pre-eclampsia and my previous c-sections complicate my current pregnancy. We live in Nebraska.

Hello all! I'm a 32 year old FTM due July 5th with a baby girl. I'm a California girl (born and raised) but my family is originally from bayou country. My husband and I both work in advertising.
I posted a few times early on and then became a creepy lurker for a while. I've gotten back into the swing of things and I'm trying to contribute a lot more often.
I appreciate all the input and knowledge I've gained so far and look forward to continuing this journey with all my fellow July mamas.
Hi! Hate to admit but definitely a lurker here. I'm a 30 year old STM due July 6th with a girl. I'm from Massachusetts and have a 2 1/2 year old son. I only bump on mobile. I'll definitely do my best to try and be more active.
@AdaByron Thank you again for this thread. I appreciate that this all arose because of lurkers popping up after the AE discussion, but instead of letting things be weird, you turned into an inviting and inclusive thing - which is what I like about this group
Well put! Thank you--we definitely appreciate the opportunity for a freshish start
@nktrodden826 that is so good to hear! I don't know anyone who's done hypnobabies, and everyone I mention it to thinks it sounds pretty weird. I'm glad to hear a rave review from a real person!
@rjoys8 those people were my biggest motivation! The naysayers, ya know the ones that said "yeah well we'll see when you get to 3cm dilated" were in my head the whole time- I couldn't let them be right! You can absolutely do this! If you have any questions let me know!!
Despite my best intentions, I think I qualify as a lurker (maybe light lurker?) I'm 31, live in Illinois, and have a son who turns two in August. I'm due July 5 with another boy. I was definitely a lurker in my last bump group, and I envied the relationships I watched form. My contributions to this board seem to involve my delicate relationship with my in-laws, hemorrhoids, and pumping. I hope to contribute more, and I appreciate the call to lurkers to emerge!
ETA info about this baby. Apparently second child syndrome starts early
This post is funny, thanks for starting. I don't necessarily think luriking is a bad thing, I'll be honest and say I don't plan on posting more than I have, that's about my contribution comfort level and like lots of other girls mentioned, I'm freakin busy. To be considered a "regular" is quite a commitment, some of you girls are on it! But I enjoy the topics and commentary and I like to see when people are going thru similar things. I like to see the good news after some scary news and I always say a little prayer for those of us who have pregnancy challenges. So even thou I don't post, I'm a silent cheerleader, hoping we all make it to the end with happy healthy babies, that's what we all want. So no offense, but I'll be holding on to my lurker status, maybe I can upgrade to minimal contributor
I did an intro back in November and try to contribute but fail more often than not. Work is hectic and when I get home all remaining energy goes towards DS (22 mos) getting him dinner and ready for bed. As soon as he goes to bed I pretty much follow. Exciting times.
I'm 22 weeks due July 21. At AS i was measuring about 1.5 weeks ahead and that timing makes a lot more sense based on all the tracking i did TTC so maybe closer to July 11 with any luck? Was team green for DS and again this time.
I do appreciate the posts/information and will continue to contribute as much as possible.

@shanana1234567 Your post really rubbed me the wrong way. This post isn't meant to be "funny". The whole point of this thread is for people who WANT to change the fact that they're lurking and get more involved in the group and give them a place to intro without getting called out. You obviously don't want that. And while I appreciate the fact that you're busy and don't have time, it's kind of rude to insinuate that the other ladies on here who are participating don't have families, lives, jobs and other things that keep them busy too. The point is to get to know each other so we can support and cheer on each other, and "no offense", but if you're not posting and contributing then I don't feel invested in you or your pregnancy and don't really feel like you're a "cheerleader" for mine.
I'm not trying to tell you what to post or not to post, but I don't think it was necessary to post on a lurker intro thread saying you plan on continuing to lurk.
Obviously this is a public board and we can't force you to participate or stop you from lurking. The point of this thread was for people who WANT to get more involved so that when we all make the move to FB, they can join. Have fun lurking until we leave.
I really like the idea of this thread. It's hard to jump into already established boards! I lurked the June15/July15 boards - joined as soon as I got my BFP (before 4 weeks) and lurked all the way through to my son being born and after! More so on June15 after the mass exodus. So I can understand being and staying a lurker - I don't have a problem with it - this thread is an awesome opportunity to change status though- so come on out!
Some of the intros above are from ladies who used to post regularly and are known in the group - I don't think you qualify as for real lurkers! Come on now - jump in anytime! I'm looking at you @Cynth0104@MamaRN13@tripledaggerWed95976
@shanana1234567 not sure why you bothered posting... Should have just kept your status....
I'm not sure I'm a lurker so much as I just haven't been around much in the past six weeks! I was SO nauseous that I just quit logging in about week 15 because screen time just made it worse. Thankfully I have felt back to my normal self the past two weeks. I signed on a few times to try to participate again, but just felt way out of the loop. I posted semi-regularly in 1st tri.
My re-intro: 29 years old with a 3 year old DD. Due July 25th. Found out we are expecting our 2nd girl a few weeks ago.
The funny things is I recognize most of the ladies who are posting as lurkers. I'll start trying to be more active again too!

I've lucked out so far and have had an easy pregnancy except for this awful cystic acne that my derm was 'impressed' with how bad it was.
I'm going to try to make myself a little more visible. I look forward to getting to know everyone better.

Edit:word
Obviously this is a public board and we can't force you to participate or stop you from lurking. The point of this thread was for people who WANT to get more involved so that when we all make the move to FB, they can join. Have fun lurking until we leave.
Some of the intros above are from ladies who used to post regularly and are known in the group - I don't think you qualify as for real lurkers! Come on now - jump in anytime! I'm looking at you @Cynth0104 @MamaRN13 @tripledaggerWed95976
@shanana1234567 not sure why you bothered posting... Should have just kept your status....
My re-intro: 29 years old with a 3 year old DD. Due July 25th. Found out we are expecting our 2nd girl a few weeks ago.
The funny things is I recognize most of the ladies who are posting as lurkers. I'll start trying to be more active again too!
