Re: AMA 35+ check in 3/12

  • 1) how far along are you? 12+6 but measuring 13+1

    2) any appointments this week? Not sure yet...waiting on my FISH results from my CVS...should hear tomorrow. Then depending on that, I could have more than a few appointments this week.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
Kind of overdid it yesterday...walked around the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show all day which included repeatedly lifting my 2.5yo toddler...and I just had my cvs a couple of days ago. My back is sore. Other than that...physically ok. Mentally I'm all over the place...

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc?
I used to go to the famous Farmer's Market on Fairfax in Los Angeles every year to get corn beef/potatoes/cabbage but since I've moved to TX, I'll probably crock pot it! I made some a few weeks ago so now I think I've got it down.

    @Texafornian thinking of you *hugs*

    1) how far along are you? 15+1

    2) any appointments this week? No, not for 4 weeks. I told my OB i was good to be on the "normal" schedule as my anxiety has decreased, and don't feel the need to go in every two weeks for reassurance. I'm feeling the babies and listen on our doppler every other day.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Yesterday was the first day in 6 long weeks that I didn't have an incapacitating headache. It was heaven. I felt like a new person. The headache is back today, but I'm hopeful they're making their exit.

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc? Nah. The kids and I are making frosted shamrock sugar cookies (yum!) but that's not really a tradition. :)

  • 1) how far along are you? 11w6 baby

    2) any appointments this week? I should get my harmony results back this week and I have my first appointment with my ob on Tuesday.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Anxiety comes and go,but I think I am starting to get excited and hopeful. I am getting a cold again so I am not happy about that.

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc? We don't have any traditions I often forget till I am at work.
  • @texafornian thinking about you and sending positive thoughts your way.
  • @Texafornian, thinking of you and sending positive thoughts!

    1) how far along are you? 15w2d

    2) any appointments this week? No, none until 3/30.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? Mostly feeling pretty well, but off and on getting some bad bloating/gas pains. Excited that we got our Maternit21 results last week and everything looks good and we now know the sex (boy)! Still waiting on the results for my husband's CF carrier test and really hoping that we get those results this week (and that he's negative!).

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc?
This might be a UO, but I've never been a fan of St. Patty's Day. So, no celebrating for me!
  • @Rhubarb7216 hope the CF comes back non existent for your hubs! My CVS will tell me the trisomies and CF among lots of other stuff...science truly is amazing!

  • @Texafornian sending well wishes!

Sorry to hear about everyone else's headaches and anxiety!  Hang in there ladies!

    1) how far along are you? 14+3

    2) any appointments this week? Not until 4/5.  My mom has been (annoyingly) begging to go, going to offer her the next appointment since there's no internal or US, then hubby take back over for the 20wk US scan appointment in May.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats? I'm miserable.  Still so completely exhausted, my life is work and sleep and the stuff that's falling to the wayside is piling up and stressful. The other week's attempt at running and last weeks attempt at a 30 min walk ended with 2 days of eyes that could barely open.  Sent message to doctor about checking my iron and thyroid hormones as I don't see either from my first appointment blood work results.  If it's not that I may need a therapist to work through my mental stuff since I'm too tired to do anything AND go to work everyday.  I shared this with a 'friend' and she shamed me for it...treated me as if I don't have empathy for people who cannot get pregnant or who are having problems.  I'm just not associating how that's related, of course I am grateful and empathetic of others at the same time that I just feel like beaten dog poo and it's hard.  Thanks for this place to vent.

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc?  Green beer is obviously out!  :) Will probably go up to our local pizza and beer place with hubby to have a root beer pint with our friends.  That is if we both get off work in time to go at 5:30 or so and I'm home for my 7:30 bedtime.
  • 1) how far along are you?
13w 2d.  On Friday I was measuring 13w 3d, so I might be a bit ahead (which lines up with ovulation).

    2) any appointments this week?
None, but my NT scan was Friday and it was soooooo great to see LO!

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?
I'm feeling really good, no real symptoms other than my growing bump!  I have to tell my boss this week because I just can't hide it anymore.

  • Hi! I'm Missy. I turn 35 in April and am due with my first baby in September.

    1) how far along are you?

    12 weeks and 1 day.

    2) any appointments this week?

NT scan and blood work for genetics testing on Wednesday.

    3) how are you feeling? Gripes/concerns/gloats?

Feeling much better than a couple of weeks ago. Keeping my fingers crossed the testing turns out okay and the results come back quickly!

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc?

NCAA tournament has always been a bigger deal than St. Patty's day for me and my family. It was really nice out for the first Saturday of the tournament a few years ago, so my husband surprised me and set up the family room TV in the window so I could sit out on the deck and watch the games all day. Sadly, there won't be anything like that this year, we could get 10 inches of snow tonight! Yuck!

  • 1) how far along are you? 15+3

    2) any appointments this week? Nope.

    3) how are you feeling. Gripes/concerns/gloats? Feeling all over the place mentally. We were going to tell our daughter last on Friday but I couldn't bring myself to do. I know we need to tell people because we keep running into friends and they are starting to just stare a little to long but I can't do it. PGAL brain is sucking lately.

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc? We don't have traditions which is funny because my family is Irish. DD has made a leprachaun trap at school so I might make some tracks in the house for her.

    Gripes/concerns/gloats?

GTKY: seeing as St Patty's Day is this week...any family traditions or do you have any fond memories of holidays past? Favorite food etc?

Lots of memories (I am half Irish)...My dad use to wear funny buttons to work that had Irish sayings on them when I was a kid...and my mom always makes up some "irish" food. Irish Stew, Irish Soda Bread, Corned Beef etc. I actually have to go to a potluck this Thursday and bring some family type food and I asked her to make me some Irish Soda Bread to bring. Some years it seems like I have celebrated a lot and the last few not so much....other than eating yummy food.

Texafornian  Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I hope you are being surrounded by love. Keeping you in my thoughts! You will be missed from the board and I am just so sorry!
